SCREW NEGOTIATIONS!!!
A scorpion, not knowing how to swim, asked a frog to carry it across the river. “Do I look like a fool?” said the frog. “You’d sting me if I let you on my back!”
“Be logical,” said the scorpion. “If I stung you I’d certainly drown myself.”
“That’s true,” the frog acknowledged. “Climb aboard, then!” But no sooner than they were halfway across the river, the scorpion stung the frog, and they both began to thrash in the water. “Why on earth did you do that?” the frog said morosely.
“I can’t help it,” said the scorpion. “I'm Russian and It’s my nature.”
Well, the story is a little bit different. It was a lake, frogs live only in the standing water. And the frog was a trusting female, the scorpion was a promising a lot male. He promised her he wouldn't sting her. There wasn't such an intellectual conversation 🥴. When he stung her, she said: "You promised you wouldn't do it 😟" You know how it goes between women and men 🙃.... With the Russian - it's an interesting touch, but considering that Russia said it wouldn't invade Ukraine, but did, so the ending is acceptable. 😜

I understand totally about Muscovia. My father returned to Poland after WW2 and was imprisoned by Russian authorities because he tried to contact us, his English children.
My relatives in Northern Poland have always said that ‘Russians’ were worse than Nazis during the war, and afterwards they didn’t get any better.
Some of our western politicians are despicable and act like dolts.

Glad to hear you'll get an Ecoflow. Solar panel might not be enough in the winter, so Ecoflow dual fuel that uses propane would be the best choice. Build a small shed for it outside.
I agree that solar panels might not be enough in winter for Lat 50degN. The farthest north I've bee in winter was Maine at about 44degN. The winter days were very short and the declination of the sun was very low. Plus, Anna lives in a multi story apartment complex so where would she put the panels? And from this video it seems like she lives on one of the lower floors of a 22+story building. She mentioned that at least she had water when higher floors didn't. And I've see some of her earlier videos that she made from her balcony outdoors. I don't know where else she could build a small shed. Probably would need building manager to put anything on the roof. I know they let some businesses put generators on the sidewalk but if everyone in the apartment building wanted to put a generator on the sidewalk and run power cables upstairs? It's a difficult situation.

Grateful for your history lesson on Ukraine and Soviet history. I recall from my history class some 55 years ago the story of the soviet aggression against the people of Ukraine called the Holodomor. I understand the strength of your passion for history. The Russians have a horrible history of violence and inhumanity going back centuries up to the present time. God Bless Ukraine.

I too live on Vancouver Island. You are aware of the moderate weather we normally have on the island with a short time of freezing and very hot temperatures. When we did loose power I hated being without power, so I asked my husband for a generator for Valentines. I have compassion for the Ukrainians being without power while being attacked and targeted by Orcs who are committing war crimes.

Hello everybody, I’m from Canada, 🇨🇦. Of course I speak English, I speak French, and my first language is Ukrainian.. When I was in New Jersey a Coworker originally from Ukraine, spoke to me in Russian mixed with a little Ukrainian. He was unusually surprised that I have kept the Ukrainian accent along with my ability to speak Ukrainian.
I also believe language is extremely important and it is something that will mould the future of the country.
Some of my coworkers are from Moldavia, and unfortunately, they had to learn to speak Russian. Thank goodness, they actually speak their own language also.
All these people I have met who have been invaded by Russia and their Russian tactics with language, they all encourage me to continue speaking Ukrainian.
Some of my senior bosses at work, speak Russian, and I will only speak Ukrainian to them.
By the way, I’m driving in the US right now, and I drove by a huge sign that said, Dump Trump!
Most Americans hate Trump, and most are not poisoned by the propaganda of Putin.
We know Russia is the problem..
Well, it's not only Americans who support Trump but also many immigrants from the former USSR and other countries, who also pay to other immigrants to vote for him. Trump has very powerful people abroad who support him and willing to pay to American voters in order for him to win the election.

Me too catching this after live stream. But you and this community are important to me so much so I am doing something I have never done before. I am volunteering for the democratic party I have gone out knocking on doors and making phone calls and helping to send out flyers. As soon as we defeat all of Putins friends here in America I will focus my resources back to Ukraine but what I am doing here is both for America and the rest of the world. You are correct United we will win. We need to win so you can win when we defeat republicans here the focus will go back to democracy around the world including Ukraine. Here in Texas, we only have occasional whether related issues with power. However, I live in a tiny efficiency apartment and only have a mini fridge. Usually I eat out, or rely on canned goods. The latter is especially handy, as canned goods can keep for months, and in a pinch, don't even need to be heated up.

Hey from Belgium, never tired to watch, you’re right, the real problem is Russia. Whatever geopolitics say. They have to find other ways. All the Ukrainians I met are very well educated or fead up. Russians I met, not so.

A want to know a song they teach you in school when you're a kid like we learn alphabet songs, but it would have to be how you pronounce the Cyrillic alphabet so I can pronounce it correctly, then look up the phonemes and find some books to... I'm Canadian and keep my fridge plus my freezer filled too, My father and uncles were in the Canadian military during WW2 and my grandfather in WW1. My mother as did other mothers who ran households during the war rations, washed aluminum foil after use, then fold it up and store it till they used it again. They also did canning and had vegetable gardens.

Russia has signed the UN Declarations prohibiting wars of conquest. If Ukraine is forced to give Russia some of its land, no written agreements are valid anymore - only the strong decides regardless of what was promised in the agreements. Any peace agreement is therefore unnecessary if it means that Ukraine has to give up land to Russia as it only applies as long as Russia does not choose a continued war of conquest.
