- In this video I show you how I installed a green house zipper door thing. I used it to basically make a giant window which I can use as ventalization. They work alright and are a great and cheap way to make a door or a window. But they can be improved upon..
Amazon links to the 2 different green house zippers I have.

i have a strong feeling that no brand of adhesive backed zipper is going to make a meaningful difference. i feel like that it will have to be sewed on with a backing strip on the other side of the plastic as well has have the adhesive to have any hope of staying on the polyethylene greenhouse film. Polyethylene is notoriously difficult to bond to, shy of plastic welding, and I'm sure even that has its nuances and limitations.
Can you please give an update as to how long the zippers lasted? Love the set up and want to know how it ultimately worked! thanks!
I wanted to see your greenery!
I'm having the same problem with the adhesive portion of the tape. It worked great for one season but it would be nice if it lasted longer. I'm about to redo all my plastic and start from scratch. What is your opinion if we first start with duct tape or even boxing tape on the plastic to cover where the zipper will be installed before actually installing the zipper? Good boxing tape or duct tape never seems to come off anything you put it on and I'm thinking the adhesive on the zipper would stick better. What do you think?
How about try duct taping the film inside out. Lay the zipper on and stitch it up?
Which one held up better?
Try taping it to the inside
