E38 is still the best 7 series. Beautiful classic proportions and styling that still looks beautiful and modern today. Makes me wonder what happened with the current and last generation porkers. Boyke Boyer did an excellent job and i hope the next 7 series goes back to using the same recipe.

Look for a newer one with low miles and good service history. I test drove an 01 740i with sport package and woah what a great riding and handling car it is. It feels like 2 tons of granite yet it takes corners pretty much flat.
So in America we have less goodies then in Europe / Australia? I thought the rear seat on the iL’s / 750iL had another phone and more controls, even to move the front passenger seat.
too much electronic,for years past that all going bad ,one by one and dont stop,then only thing you can do in that time is to burn all car... But mehanicly e38 is same like all bmw-s from 90s,what mean very good...

Touring USA finally bought one myself as well I might save up a few grand to buy an e32 or e34 next.

The consumption is not that bad for a V12. The consumption still depends on your driving style though!
