at the 17 minute mark, Bubba was correct when he said Mama truly provided structure and that's a true grandma. That's why Mama's Family is so loved by everyone, and all walks of life
I wish the show never ended in 1990. What a wonderful show, everybody was so perfect, brilliant, and entertaining. I loved them all, and every episode.❤
Here is the thing - Mama's Family was just FUN. Vicki said in other videos, "You don't have to think, you just sit back and laugh." It was the exact same thing with the Carol Burnett Show, where it originated from. Although with that it was more "Sit back and enjoy", as not all of it was funny, they had the more serious stuff with some of the songs sung by the great singers of the day. But with the Raytown Harpers and Iola...it was a beautiful satire. And they had Dave Powers, who directed 10 out of the 11 years of the Burnett Show, on Mama's Family for 4 of its 6 seasons - and Harvey Korman directed the first 2 seasons of it right?!
Awwww seeing Ken Berry so old is breaking my heart. I lost my Dad in 2020 and though they don't look alike, Ken has the same kind of vulnerability that Dad had. I think I'm going to cry.
The reason this show was such a hit is because it was all of our families lol the ones who drove us nuts lol we didn’t feel so alone in the craziness and I wish it was still on! I wish “vint “ was still here ❤ and Iola looks very pretty with her silver hair! And Bubba looks hot lol ❤
This is some type of video would be cherished for rest of the our life.., I remember i was a teenager back in the '80s couple of years younger an bubba i was ... Great show and cast🥰😘
Those Mama skits on Carol Burnett were hilarious, but the way Vicki played Mama in the show was different and I never got into it. It's like they tried to make Mama nicer, and what was funny about her to begin with the caustically mean personality. Doesn't work with a nice-but-grumpy old lady.
I saw an interview from many years earlier and Ken Berry didn’t remember anything about the show then lol. It’s so funny because as fans I feel like we remember every detail and the stars don’t remember as much.
@nikkijohnson5249 so weird after the show came back amd frannie died mama said in episode no frannie no even no buzz and Sonia and after that their never mentioned again but with bubba and iola the show was way more funny cause also they made vint almost child like..so I guess buzz and Sonia went to college or live with their mom they never really explained it
Damn, this hits the heart knowing this is the last time they all are together...
The only one here who has sense passed away is Ken Berry. He was fully cognizant until his passing.

I can just hear Vint saying "Thanks a lot, Mama"
And I can still hear Thelma saying, "Oh for cryin' out loud, Vinton!!!!"
I wish the show never ended in 1990.
What a wonderful show, everybody was so perfect, brilliant, and entertaining.
I loved them all, and every episode.❤
RIP Ken Berry
Dorothy didn't mention she became a great director including directing 75 episodes of The Nanny.

Absolutely loved this! Love the show still today on reruns. (I did see them when they first aired back then.)
Kent berry such a talented dancer!! Wished they showcased that on the show. Vint being a dummy but somehow a dancing prodigy😂
I didn’t know he was a dancer!
There was one episode where he tap danced early on.

Vicki seemed like she was rhe youngest one here!! I didn't realize everyone else was so much older!!
Love this! Even though Kenny is gone, I wish wr could bring the rest together, including Buzz and Sonia.

Right !! sucks they didn't have them too..
They must not watch the reruns. They didn’t remember a lot of the episodes.
I enjoyed the show at times. The acting wasn’t stellar, but that was also consistent with the writing.
To me the acting was impeccable
@@Sinfulscents often, it was close to goofy
