the 2008 version added more emphasis towards the bass while this one has a more “clean” treble sound
i feel like the mixing in this one feels very polished, the transitions between the verses have a more…
…coherent feel to them? the 2008 version just flows like “yup. now here’s the next verse” and it feels sharper
ALSO. the “i thought you knew” part, despite being the same tempo, it feels faster

Yeah. I think that this is one of the songs that suffered from 2005's mixing, but the rest of the album is better in the 2005 version IMO.

Just Apathy 2005 > Just Apathy 2008 as well
And The Bidding 2005 has just a completely different feeling to The Bidding 2008, so I can't say which I prefer.
But as for Good Day? Nah. I don't think it's better. I think the mixing in 2008 is FAR superior to 2005, especially in Taken For a Ride. 2005 most of the time just feels... unfinished.
