Thank you for this video. I would say it's not an obsession with firearms that us Americans have, it's an obsession with the will to live and protect our loved ones.
Absolutely.
Yeah, in America we have an unusual situation. Unlike most places, we feel we are entitled to a level of freedom most do not enjoy. Sadly, there are those who wish to take advantage of those freedoms and do heinous acts with them, but we still choose that freedom. It’s hard to explain to somebody who would trade freedom for being taken care of. I have always seen it as the true definition of freedom. If a government enables its citizens to wield such awesome power, it is a government that loves true freedom. And most importantly, it’s a government who has sufficient respect for its citizens to trust them with such a responsibility. That’s what a government of the people should do. It may be weird to the rest of the world, I fully acknowledge it. But for those of us who see how special it is, it’s everything. The Second Amendment is not about guns at all, it’s about freedom. Freedom from tyranny, freedom from bullies, thugs, and terrorists, and simply an expression of true, unequivocal freedom in general. And yes, that includes the freedom to do awful things, but far more important the responsibility of the overwhelming majority of people to possess that capability, and not abuse it. That’s where so many people get it wrong, they think it’s about guns, but it’s not.
Should just publish what is authorized in each state ie. Hand gun, rifle...
@christopherwilliams5123 they do, that's why he referred us to the NRA website. the CCA and others also publish maps and lists. the information is constantly changing, and the details matter. so you need to check a trustworthy, accurate, and current site EVERY TIME you cross a state line that you are not very familiar with. several of the weapons displayed (all?) could get you arrested in some states.
@@christopherwilliams5123That information is available with simple state searches
A few years back, a retired couple were staying at members lodge in their RV when a bad guy with a gun attacked the the husband just outside side of their rig. The wife went back into the RV and returned with a rifle and took care of the situation forth with.
"The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"
Husband survived the attack.
Thank you both for this excellent video.
Awesome. We don’t hear enough of the good stories.

@@EndlessRVingthey don’t want news getting out about guns saving lives.
As a retired FF a full time RVr, a firearms instructor and a nationally ranked competitive shooter who shoots 4-6 days a week and an average of 35k rounds a year I found this video EXTREMELY accurate on all points.
Factual content no matter what side of 2A you’re on. I pray (like you) I never need any of my skills but if I do at least I will feel prepared as possible. Side note I got into competition shooting because my wife and son had a near miss abduction in May 2011 I’ve watched your vids for 2.5 years now & never comment but had to in this one keep up the excellent videos, & stay safe.
The bothersome part is just how many states feel that can infringe on our right to protect ourselves while traveling. States like New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut in the east... and pretty much the entire west coast... then there is Illinois... *sigh* It's like the Constitution doesn't exist in these places. =0(
i was from Illinois for over 20 years when I retired last year and was traveling in my Class A motor home going to visit our kids in Illinois. I'm also a retired Military. I was pulled over by a state trooper, for high winds that made me cross over the lines. When I open the door to my RV the trooper asked if I was carrying a firearm, I said no and I knew the law in Illinois that the gun needed to be in a locked box and ammo in another, WHAT he told me was that while in your RV its considered your HOME and I need to always carry a gun in my RV, since my RV was licensed in Georgia where I lived. He stated that the RV is considered my HOME and that I could have as many gun as I wanted INSIDE the RV. I have a CC permit for Georgia, WHAT he did say was that if I stepped out of my RV in Illinois with my GUN and I don't have CC permit for Illinois then he could arrest me. He advised me to CC carry while inside my motorhome while traveling. I which that the gun laws just come standard for all states, to many state laws to remember on what you can do and not do. FOR us we don't travel to any state that don't like GUNS. specially the Upper EAST Coasts.
I live in MA, that's why some of us called it MASSHOLE for a good reason.
@vicmendes6940 get it right..... Massoftwoshits!
Comments like yours give me hope. Seems so many care about themselves while this country deteriorates.
So far Washington State has not gone insane and a firearm friendly.
I am a retired LE (LEOSA card carrying) and active member of the US Army Reserve. I always carry a weapon and 2 when out in my camper with my family. My wife and children are knowledgeable of these and know the seriousness. I am NOT a “gun nut” but firmly believe in protecting myself and my family should the situation present itself. Thanks for this video, very well done.
Thank you.
💯
What about the AK-47?
Excelente video y gracias por mostrar cómo debemos defendernos cuando estamos con nuestras familias en RV por qué no sabemos con quién nos encontramos en el camino
"I am NOT a gun nut" - What does that even mean? Does it just mean you want to infringe on the 2nd amendment by passing gun control or something?
One more comment... I was raised from day one by a dad who said an unloaded gun is useless. All guns were fully loaded all the time. They were kept on a gun rack on the wall, and by the time I could reach that gun rack I knew full well how to use those guns. My dad was a real dad.
Mine too.
We Both Have And I'm Thankful
I too was raised that way, and I will never forget him saying:
“If you out law guns, only the outlaws will have the guns!”
My dad was the same way! His rifle was on the living room wall, on a rack he made.
I was raised the same way and told that an empty gun isn't good for much. Pretty basic.
Great video. The hardest part of traveling with self protection is navigating the patchwork of gun laws in the different states, you really have to do your due diligence. We very much need constitutional carry in this entire nation.
I use the CCW app. I enter the state I have a permit for and a map pops us with every state that honors that permit in one color and those that do not in different color. Makes life much easier traveling. It also has the latest carry laws for each state I believe!
Yes i live in the personal safety hell known as CA. You have to be on point if you are in CA. Law abiding citizens are under attack here if you care about your own safety!
💯
I only travel to and spend money in states my CCW is valid. Well done video. Thank you for putting your life on the line for 23 years. Something most people will never understand.
Constitutional carry nationwide will never happen. Do your research re the patchwork of state laws. But handgun carry across state lines is a fool’s errand
Thanks for being one of the few in the RV community to tackle this issue. Too many people live delusional lives thinking bad things only happen someplace else to other people and can't even consider it could happen to them.
Great job! You chose your words carefully, and precisely. I am a retired Deputy (38 years of service) and I couldn't agree with you more. Good sane, moral people need to wake up to today's world!
💯 Thanks for watching!

Amen brother. Stay safe.
Great work...
As a correction officer, I deal with the worst of the worse every day for the past 16yrs. I carry daily as a result. Got the wife some training and she carries also. GREAT video Izzy & MJ.
Thank you.
So the public is the worst of the worst ? I bet you violate people's rights all the time. I can tell by your attitude you probably need to be fired and possible prosecuted and put in jail
@@SmokinCoyote70 he works in a jail so yes they deal with the worst of the worst
@@EndlessRVing So you're not innocent until proven guilty ? You probably don't need to be in law enforcement either

As a single grandmother who lives in a rural area, I am protecting myself, home, & family from Anything that is meaning harm. I also disperse camp alot. I will not be so scared that I can't go out & enjoy God's beautiful creations. Thnx for the videos!
One thing which needs to be covered is the legalities of storing and traveling with firearms in an RV. 😎
I'm a truck driver and alot of us drivers carry no matter what. I've had two attempted break-ins of my trailer. One was two guys, one guy was walking slowly around the truck about a fifty foot distance and his buddy in the car was slowly moving towards the back of the trailer all while I watched in the driver's seat. I had just parked and after I watched them I just got out of there. I'm not taking on two guys to one.
The other incident was in broad daylight, a woman in a pickup was circling me as I watched and she finally pulled behind the trailer and tried to break in. She couldn't because of the metal strap seal.
So she pulled across the road and watched me
I wasn't as threatened by her, she seemed to be a novice. I left shortly after flipping her the bird.
Stay out of blue states, which you should do anyway.
I live in Vermont which is one of the "bluest" States. We do have Constitutional carry here as well as NH and Maine. I can (and do) carry when traveling between all 3 of these States.@@Step-n-Wolf
@@plumber802enjoy it while you can
And how obeying those laws can get you killed, and disobeying jailed.
We whole-heartedly agree. We just got back from a 7 week cross country trip. Rick got his concealed carry permit just so he could carry in most states. He didn't have to use it - but we felt safe.
You should have done the same. There’s probably a handgun u can effectively operate
@@JeepCherokeeful Exactly, she missed the blatantly obvious: SHE should be carrying as well! Women need to stop looking to others -- their spouses for example -- and join the "team," as that what she and her husband are, a TEAM to defend hearth & home. So CARRY...BOTH of you. Even a small caliber Pocket Pistol will do, IF you can hit your target.
And don't "feel safe" ANYwhere...that's her second miss: NO PLACE is safe nowadays, so carry -- even @ home.

Depends on where you go . You will not be legal in every state. Despite some pro gun police on these threads , there are plenty who will extend you no courtesy, and throw you into the legal grinder
WOW this was the BEST CZcams video on gun safety and being prepared on the road that I have seen to date. I have been CCW licensed for over 25 years and believe your video needs to be shared with all true Americans. Great Job Izzy and MJ you guys Rock!!!
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Every victim in the history of victims always says “ I never thought it could happen to me!” And their neighbors are always on the 5 o’clock news saying “ this is a quiet neighborhood, nothing like this ever happens here.” Until it does. Just because it hasn’t happened to you, doesn’t mean it can’t.🤷♂️
Great video. As a combat veteran and former law enforcement officer myself, I have seen a lot of evil what mankind can do and when seconds matter, police can be mins or even hours away, so being armed is a must for me and my family. I live in a rural town within the mountains and am always out in the forest with my family. I am very much armed with a pistol (10mm) and truck gun (300 blk out) at all times. The world is going crazy and me and my family will not become victims at either the hands of some evil person(s) or an animal.
The people are the problem animals are predictable.
@@brettloo7588 Although I def agree with you regarding people being the main threat, but you haven't ever come across a mountain lion out of nowhere either, especially with their young and or fresh kill. Animals can be very unpredictable depending on the circumstance you find them in. I live in the mountains and am in the forest every day nearly.
💯
10mm👍🇺🇲
Amen brother. Stay safe.
Izzy and MJ,
Thank you for this video. I am a retired police officer with 48 years of active duty. I never go anywhere without a pistol close to hand. And, following the philosophy of one is none and two is one, I normally have at least two pistols, a Glock 21 (.45 ACP), and a stealth carry Glock 43 (9 mm). I must qualify twice a year to show proficiency, which I do.
If I go out of town for an extended time, I will also have a long gun. Most often this includes my Remington 12 ga. with extended magazine. I am not recoil-sensitive, so slug or buckshot is not a problem for me.
Now, if I am really going into harm's way or to an area that might harbor things that go bump in the night, I will pack my Rock River AR-15. I have three ARs, but the Rock River is the cheapest and the one I’m least likely to cry over if an overly exuberant, left-wing, George Soros funded, DA decides he’s going to save the world by taking my AR. As an honorably retired police officer, I am entitled to carry, but no matter what Federal Law says, the local DA interprets the law, and they can make it difficult.
Bureaucrats … Ugh!! I once checked a firearm into the belly of a plane, and it was done according to all existing laws and the policies of the airlines. Empty gun in one bag and ammunition boxed correctly in a second bag. I had a spirited conversation with the airline rep, who insisted one box of pistol ammo was too much to carry and asked why I needed to have a weapon anyway. It required the intervention of her supervisor and an airport police officer before I was allowed to board.
Larry from Texas
Thank you for protecting and serving 48 years! LEO’s are amazing people and I’m glad you are enjoying (I hope) a well deserved retirement.
You and I know first hand the reality of the world we live in today. As a recently retired LE officer, I too advise everyone to obtain your CCW license, not only to protect yourself and your family, but everyone around you. In this crazy society, we are seeing shootings at schools, churches, restaurants, malls, workplaces ... just about everywhere. Don't be a victim, give yourself a fighting chance. Stay safe brother.
Thank you, you too.
I don’t think as you say “reality of the world we live in” it is the USA you live in…as a Canadian the need to carry a gun is foreign to me….
@@evertmcilwain I was talking about US
I don't believe Canada will be immune from this Disease!
All cops are the greatest enemy of “We the People”, so quit all your copsucking nonsense & tell the truth about the countless lives you’ve all destroyed by enforcing politicians policies on “We the People” for victimless “crimes”.
The greatest lie ever told to “We the People” is the cops are here to protect & serve the People. Wrong!!! Their first purpose is to protect & serve the corporate state. Their second purpose is to criminalize everyone & anyone to feed the corporate state injustice system. So be very careful “We the People” cause you may be next. God Bless & take care. Cheers
Been thinking about RV'ing & self-defense for a while, and just randomly found your video. What a gift - clear, concise, and comprehensive. Really well done. Going to use it as an "introductory course" for new shooters. The only points I'd add are 1. Emphasizing finger off the trigger until absolutely ready to fire, and 2. Our right to self-defense was encoded by our Founding Fathers but it comes from GOD.
My dad was on the job for 25 years in one of the worst cities in the country. He told me most people are almost naturally ingrained to freeze when they here a pump racking! Thank you for your service
I admire your modesty when you say you're not an expert. If you're a firearms instructor and a cop you are an expert, but you're more polite than me I'd tell the keyboard warriors saying you're fool of crap to "F" off.
We aren’t buying silver and gold……we’re buying lead!
That will be the currency if things go sideways. Not toilet paper. The pandemic was a wake up call.

The cost is becoming similar!😊
WOW! Great video. I appreciate that you step up and support our 2nd Amendment in spite of what a minority of your audience will say. You point out a sad fact that we have to be more vigilant than ever before. Thank you.
Every home needs a 9mm pistol, 12ga Shotgun, and an AR pattern rifle in 556. With these three calibers you can do ANYTHING that needs to be done. Home defense, hunting, or eliminating tyrannical threats. Great video and content! As a former MP it's really heartwarming to see other folks with the courage to speak up about the reality of the situation and conditions we live in in the current world. No one is coming to save you, your safety is up to you, the individual. God bless, take care, stay vigilant.
4th caliber, a backhoe 😉
Why do you only keep mentioning BLM? I mean they were a nuisance but they didn’t pose any real threat other than being black…
I would add an AR-10 or dedicated hunting rifle in 308 (effective large game caliber and second most available centerfire rifle ammo after the 5.56/223). I would not hunt large game deer and up with a 5.56mm, it can be used yes, but it's not the most humane nor effective round for hunting larger game. Just dropping in to say hi and add my thoughts.
@@terrarecon 12ga fires slugs and buckshot. Both more than enough for Deer, hogs, and a slug will take any fur bearing animal in the lower 48 states. That 1000 dollars you spend on a rifle could be spent on a lot of slugs.
@@airgunbubba2505 You have a valid point that I also took into consideration with my 12 gauge. However, I still have need of a 308.
I'm a truckdriver and I have started carrying everyday because of things that have happened to me in the last couple years. I came across this video randomly. Great information. Thanks
Thanks for sharing
One of your best videos. I’m not a police officer, and never was one,and in today’s world would not recommend being one,so my hats off to you sir. I have everyone of those firearms you mentioned, and coming from an experienced person as yourself makes me feel better. A lot of people don’t understand the gun ethos, but once you learn safety, improve your skills you begin to appreciate just how important these things can become in your everyday life. Like you I hope I never ever have to use one of these on another human being, but the world is changing rapidly and we need to stop fooling ourselves if we think we can live without them.Great job 👍
Thanks for the support. We appreciate it.

Respect to you for addressing this 'taboo' subject. I'm not full time camping, but do go weekends. While I always have a pistol, I don't bring anything more because I cannot figure out secure storage. I'm sure it may be tough to show us what's available in campers without giving up your storage, but I'd sure love to know. I'm going to go find and watch your other 2 videos to see if you happen to address storage. (And I mean secure storage, not hidden) thanks! 2A supporter

Your gun craft is spot on! especially holsters. Nothing ticks me off more than seeing folks invest money in quality firearms and then buy a crap holster.
My duty holsters are Safariland Level III with the QLS system and I am Left-handed.
I carry a Glock 19 with a Streamlight TLR-7A light...appendix in a Tier 1 concealed. I am responsible for Security at my Church.
I have always recommended women buying the first gun to purchase a full-sized frame gun. Size equals better management of recoil and assists with accuracy learning quicker. Your video is great. I appreciate you.

Excellent review. Appreciate your comparison and information. I wish the world was different but it doesn't seem to be getting better. Thanks for your thoughtful comments.
Well done! As a Benefactor Member of NRA as well as JPFO I believe it's all about education of the public to counter the mis-information spread by many politicians and much of the media. I am also a certified Instructor and CCW holder in NM and typically carry a Glock 26 with standard magazine and one or two 15 round mags. I am a subscriber to your channel and enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. Please be safe and thank you both for your service!
Thanks for this video. Most people do not realize that safety is an illusion. The only way to be safe is to be prepared, and even then, it's not a sure thing. All you can do is prepare, and hope it's enough if the day comes when you have to defend yourself or people around you.
Thanks for sharing your personal knowledge and experience. Unfortunately, the times we live in, require we are ready to protect our family.
You guys rock. It's time to get real. We ALL hope that we NEVER have to use our guns for anything other than target practice or hunting. We need to be prepared and trained just in case. Thanks for being unafraid to tell it like it is.
Good video. We had 2 situations this past summer at campgrounds that caused me to decide to be prepared. You don't always know what the area you are going into, and we found out later we should never have been there, but there was no way of knowing that. Now we are prepared to deal with it.
Thank you guys for having the courage to make a video like this. As the world gets more woke, we become less safe at home, work, in public and yes in our RV. My wife and I just returned from a 2 month, 6,200 mile trip to the northwest and had three 9mm and a 380 with us. Yes we were aware of the states that didn’t like us having guns. But if push came to shove we had protection. I have all the guns you show but the AR. It is now on my “to do” list. Love your channel.
Retired with 33 years as LEO, the 365 with M/S is what I carry along with a knife, flashlight & OC. I stress CC Insurance (CCW Safe met my needs), professional training that includes law updates not just range time. When RVing check the local firearm laws using a app that keeps up to date (i.e. Legal Heat). Good subject to cover whether novice or professional.
Thank you
Awesome video, and as you stated our society has come to the point of having to protect yourself and your family. I had to convince my wife of this years ago and signed her up for a course through the Well Armed Woman. Best thing she has ever done! Went A to Z with her weapon both in the class room and the range. She now has a carry purse with a Glock-everwhere she goes. I carry either a S&W or a Stoeger 9mm, and we have gotten our middle daughter carrying a Skye 9mm. We all have magnets in our cars to keep them ready. The biggest thing is training! Living in the south, it seems to be more common place and accepted. PD/SD cannot be everywhere or prevent everything, so self protection is vital. Thank you again and for your service. Be careful and watch your six....
You have locks on your doors just in case somebody wants to steal your stuff. You have a seatbelt in your care in case you have an accident you wont get as hurt. You have a gun on hand in case someone wants to hurt or kill you.
All three of these are safety precautions. You hope you wont ever need them, but if you do, they are well worth having. Why some folks just decide to stop after the first two, makes no sense to me.
The whole point of safety precautions is you hope you never need them, but understand the consequences if you need them and don’t have them are far worse than having them and not needing them.
In two months I'm retiring after 25 years in Law Enforcement, and my wife and I will be full time RVing. I'm former Navy and we will carrying a very similar compliment in our RV for the very same reason's this video discusses. We are looking forward to seeing the beauty of our country, but we will be as prepared as possible to address the ugly that unfortunately is out there in our country as well. THANK YOU for the video and hopefully everyone appreciates the advice....I echo all of it!
Hi Izzy & MJ! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video! It is so extremely important. And Izzy we thank you for your service! We are gun owners as well, and they are in our RV as that is our home. I believe in everything you said 110%. It is so incredibly scary what is going on in the world and you are right, we can never say it won't happen to me or it won't happen on our turf. It's a horrible way to think but it is all of our reality now. Again, thank you for all you do and putting out these very informative and important videos. Safe travels!
Thanks so much Erin.
I carry my "childhood" 20ga ... the same one I first shot squirrels with as a ten year-old... in the mid 1960s. Well maintained, it shoots perfectly considering 60 years old. BTW, there's far fewer restrictions across state lines on shotguns than handguns. Although a shotgun makes an incredible mess and would likely leave a large hole in the RV wall, I'm still alive and the bad guy "had a bad day".
Izzy, MJ Thank you for the video. I agree completely with the state of affairs in today's world. I take gun ownership very seriously, but you have to be able to protect yourself and family if the unforeseen happens. Always greatly appreciate the insight of a law enforcement officer. Izzy, thank you for what you do, and we love your videos. God Bless.
I'm not a gun person nor do I opposed those who are. I appreciate the info you presented and it makes me seriously consider carrying. Your comparisons simplified a lot. Thank you.
Nice video Izzy. I care a Sig P250 at all times. I have a permit from Utah. When we are traveling I always check which states I can legally carry. The ones I can't, I unload and lock in a case in my fifth wheel until I go down for the night. There are two states I won't go to and that is New York and California.
Enjoy your channel.
Thank you for your service in RV lifestyle for providing so much valuable information that are much needed and related in this time and age. I have been a gun owner since the day I turned legal to own one. I'm now 41 years young and never remember a time that I didn't have a few in the house as I am the protector of my household. Wife and I with our 3 four legged companions have been full-time rv dwellers for the past six years and counting. Having the right tools and equipment to eliminate a threat is always our main priority and constant proper training is needed every time. Really like my current Glock and Delton 5.56. but I might have to push Christmas early this year just to add a new family member "The Protector and The Judge" as an early present for my household. Stay safe and keep up the good work. Love and prayers from the Nevada Desert!🤠
I enjoy HR218 and carry everywhere. Glock 43x with a Shield Arms conversion across state lines. For everyday I carry a 43 also with Shield Arms conversion.
Benelli Nova Tactical at home. Several home built ARs as well. Many people in the community are asking about acquiring and training with firearms now. Videos like yours are essential. The fact that you and your wife are both supporters of 2A makes it easier for people to relate. Great content. Stay safe.
Love this video! Thank you!
As a retired LEO I never leave home without my Glock. When we travel in the RV. We carry a Smith&Wesson 9mm FPC (similar to the Kel Tec) which my wife shoots really well. I also carry my 9mm pistol (unfortunately without the brace). The 9mm pistol fits quite well in a backpack with the folding stock (buffer tube).
Anyone who would travel with their family and not be prepared in every way to protect them is a fool. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video! I’ve been a gun owner for many years, and thankfully, my guns have never had to kill anyone. However, the most important part of all of this is the simple fact of being able to defend yourself and your family and your belongings! This will not change in my case until the Lord calls me home! Thanks for all you guys do!
Well Said 💯
Thank you for this video well done! My husband and I both have our carry conceal permits and have pistols for protection at home. We just got our travel trailer, we haven't taken it out yet and you have definitely reminded us of how important it is to protect ourselves. Thank you for your years of service. My son is an officer in NYS and you reiterated all of the information that he is constantly teaching our family.
Thank you for discussing and handling this topic, so responsibly! We are being invaded and there is not enough law enforcement to handle it!!!

I’m a wheel gun man…. Just didn’t care the auto. I’m a little different, lever action rifle with same caliber wheel gun. It’s surprising how few people are bothered by lever actions but freak when they see the bad black rifle! If they only knew? I also keep the mossy close by as you said! God bless you both!
Yes!!! Thanks. Well said. Thanks for posting
I’m a 72 yr old woman, who travels alone with my 18’ teardrop camper . I grew on a farm and have used rifles all my life, but now owns pistols, also. I’m not a gun nut! I want to live! Thank you for the education, tonight!!! Very well done!! I can’t believe your gun videos haven’t been taken off this platform yet! They will be soon! Unless this isn’t YT??? Anyway, thank you! Because of you, I’m getting myself a long needed Christmas gift!
Outstanding video. And thank you for your service
Great job and informative. Be safe and thank you for your service.
Yes we found it helpful! Thanks for sharing!
My motorhome is my domicile, I do not loose self defense crossing a state line, none of us do! It is my job to keep my Wife and myself safe!
Very useful and LOVE this video!
Thank you for addressing that part at the end, nobody but yourself can be responsible for your protection.
Bad guys take no prisoners. Being prepared is everything! Thank you for this. I’ve enjoyed your videos but now I love you more. 👍
Awesome video. Thanks for posting!
Absolutely agree with you. It’s not a matter of if it’s a matter of when and you need to be prepared. What an excellent demonstration with accurate information. Very much appreciated. I do carry in my RV and at home.
Fantastic. Thank you for taking the time to make these safety videos for everyone.
Thank you for showing this video, I really appreciated it.
Thank you for the heads up!
Well done. As a retired career military officer, I applaud your information filled video. Keep ‘em coming.
this is by far the best video you guys have done. In all the years my wife and I traveled, we had concealed permits for most of the states, other then calif or Ill, two states we had no interest in traveling in, I felt safer having permits in the other states we were in. So many of the people in USA who are getting death threats, they are known as Grannies with guns, these days are getting to be like the old west and everyone will have a gun for protection. some peoples fearless leader said we do not need an AR and should buy a shot gun. Since he is not my leader I bought both, an AR and a shotgun. the store told me since the shotgun is for home protection, they sold me a box or two of shorties and you can load many more rounds of shells. I knew an old guy that told me that some guys go to town and buy a beer and he went to town and bought a new fishing lure, I go to town and buy a box of shells. since I an old now and by myself I buy by the case. I have to control myself when it comes to this topic, I will get hate mail for sure now. So,e times I feel sorry for any one who wants to break in to my house, not really but I lie a lot. I bought a service gun from a retired deputy sheriff from Calif some years back and as he was walking away from me he turned around and said,"In case you are wondering, I did not shoot any one with this gun, but one night I made two guys pretty darn sick."
I'm a veteran and therefore have some experience with weapons and I think your video and your explanation is spot on. The best, most informative discussion I have seen. I agree with everything you said. A job well done. Thank you.
Safe travels and good health.
Awesome video. Big thanks.
100% support.
Thanks for talking about this. Thank you for your service.
Excellent way to explain protection. I need another new gun now! LOL I have used all of those and some much bigger ones. You nailed it on the head. You are responsible for you and your families protection.
Thanks for the feedback
Holy cow!! Izzy and MJ first of all great video! Your comments were spot on, I won’t hold the Keltec purchase against you (LOL). I hope this translates to more open and reasonable conversations discussing how people can take responsibility for their own safety. As you stressed, when you take on the responsibility of owning and carrying a firearm, get training and keep training. When you find yourself’s back in the RV capital of the country I would be honored to take you out to the range and have some fun…
Thanks for the video. I felt it was very well put together. A great watch
Thank you. Great video. Keep them coming.
Agree with your recommendations on firearms. Recommend everyone purchasing a weapon get training and CCW. That goes for spouse too! They may save your life if you get disabled.
RV campgrounds are usually pretty tight, very concerned about over penetration in these then walled coaches, any comments on appropriate backstop during an encounter? Ammunition- pellet vs buck?
Would love to see a video on national CCW, reciprocity and how to best carry and store in a coach.
Love my Mossberg 590 Shockwave, hopefully get clarification on forearm brace soon!
Would give you 100 thumbs up if possible.
From one LEO to another, you knocked it out of the park, well done! Great practical information and advice for RV'ers to legally be ready to protect their family and themselves while camping. I really have enjoyed your channel.
Thank you
"Legally be ready to protect..." I wish we lived in a country that followed the constitution and allowed you to protect your family without worrying about different guns laws that criminals don't follow. There is only one thing worse than criminals...liberal politicians.
Exceptional video. I learned a lot and now have a good guide to what I need. Thank you much!
Really great and informative video. Thank You Izzy & MJ
Thank you both for a very powerful video, especially in light of what just happened overseas.
Great video. Nice to see a presentation based in reality and real world circumstances. Your suggested guns and calibers was extremely useful. I will rethink what I carry when I RV as well as what is used for home protection. Please continue producing videos like these. Thank you for your service and stay safe.
Thanks for not shying away and putting good information out there. It’s important.
Thanks for your service and great info
Awesome video and great content. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m glad you guys are talking about this, especially with so many RVers in unfamiliar places and with all the decriminalized crime happening around the country. I carry everywhere, everywhere so carrying in the RV is natural for me but I’ve never considered bringing an AR on a trip. Now you have me thinking 🤔
Love you guys!! Love this video! Keep up the good work
I pack everywhere I no matter what. This world is crazy and safety first for me and my family.
Always the best videos on firearms with the emphasis on safety. I have been working armored cars for 34 years, and I've seen how things have gotten more sketchy out there. One thing I would add, it's not just get training. But keep training, marksmanship is perishable skill.
Great video and informative I agree 100% I’m a vet and I protect myself and my family as you do and so should everyone else the country and times have changed drastically it can & will happen
Thanks very much - valuable information. I agree, you need to be prepared to protect yourself and your family.
Great video Thank you for sharing it with us.
Nicely done video guys. Retired with 25 years of service and couldn’t agree more. Stay safe and thank you for your service.
Great informative video! We have refrained from carrying on the rv due to all the different jurisdictions we may encounter. It’s time to learn where and how to legally carry when traveling.
Thank you, great video and advice.
Keep up the good work
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for doing this video.
Awesome video! Love the info, your approach, delivery, and pace. Spot on Izzy & MJ.
Thanks so much!
Izzy… BZ on this video..! As an instructor for nearly four decades, I must say you hit all the points in your rapid fire display of these firearms. Well done!!!
Thank you
It was a perfect video! Thank you.
Another awesome video addressing firearm and the reality of police response times in remote areas. Great job going over the different platforms and their pros & cons.
