"I plai plack metal"
It's so good to see big BM names being interviewed and having fun at it. Never thought that could be possible hahaha! Thanks Rauta!
My pleasure! Glad you liked it!
My band had the pleasure to be the opening act for Azaghal in 2016, Pescara, Italy. Loved the gig and loved the guys.
Excellent!
thanks rauta first azaghal interview and realy like it alot!!
Great content as usual! Best metal channel ever, and killer recs. I revisited the whole discography of Death and I love it
Thank you so much! Btw. I'm planning to do a Death discography theme video in near future. So stay tuned!
I would love to have a beer with these guys .
Ah, Fucking awesome! Been into Azaghal a long time, 2000/01, got a lot of tapes from the various side bands, ordering from Dragonthrone was one of the first of a handful of overseas labels I ordered from, good times & memories. Didn't get why they were hated by others in Finland, no idea if that's still the case. Azaghal had/has a cool thrash element blended in to the riffs/songs, which 15-18yrs back wasn't common anywhere, really. "Inhimillisyyden tuollapuolen" off the Musta Kuun Lapset has been a favourite of their's from back then along with Kalma's drumming that had the feel of propelling the song.
Entertaining interview, been a while since I payed attention but I knew they were still going, still it brought back a lot of memories.
"I had to be the diplomat, he wanted to kill the organizers the first day ! "
I died laughing at that part, great interview Rauta !!!
Thanks!
Excellent interview, funny and informative at the same time.
Good to hear! Somebody didn't like this though :)
How da hell did i miss this channel for so long?? Really great interwies all the time and funny as hell.. Cheers
Ulvdalum Thanks mate! I try to make this channel funny and right to the point. Glad you found us. Feel free.to spread the word!
Thanks for posting this Jerry, it was the first live interview I've seen with Narqath, after first listening to Wyrd in 2003 or so (and later Azaghal). I do wish, though, that you had asked him about the renewed activity of Hin Onde. They've played live again, including with old buddy V-Khaoz on drums. Will they record new music, I wonder?
My pleasure. We can always do a Hin Onde interview later on if they are up for that. I can ask about their new music, too.
One of my favorite interviews.
Thanks!
watched this yesterday Rauta. and forgot to leave a comment, on another great Job. cheers.
Funeral Fiend Cheers!
cheers Rauta!
Cheers from Grand Rapids, Michigan USA! Azaghal is one of my favorite bands! My favorite songs are "Nemisis," and " The Pit Of Shoggoths."
Cheers from Kalamazoo 💀
Pretty good interviewer, always 2 steps ahead with a question worth asking
Thanks! :)
I hope things get easy with the whole pandemic and let you go interview more artists. You're good at it, man and you have a good taste in selecting who to talk to!
Thanks mate! Let's hope for the best.
älä mene. I've learned something new in Finnish hehe. Nice interview like always. Horns Up
rauta you make good reviews like always
Thanks!
Excellent interview Jerry!
Thanks!
That was great. 🤘🏻
Thanks.
Oh wow Azaghal now? FUCK YESSS!!!! They are one of my favourite black metal bands!! I have the album with the original Kyy and Filosofi songs on it, and the Teraphim album versions. Great album man!! It's weird to see them without their corpse paint on though... anyways, keep up with the great interviews!
Oh, and if Azaghal are reading my comment; COME TO THE US!!!!!!
Thanks! I'll pass your comments to them!
@@RautaMetal
Awesome, kiitos!
Great interview. These guys keep BM old school 👍😎
Thank you SC.
Azaghal is love of my life
Such wisdom I love black metal
Great interview Rauta. You ask the best questions and have great bands. How did you get started with the black metal?
Thanks a lot! I got into black metal in mid 90's, mostly because I was against christianity and religions in general and I was already listening to extreme metal.
I am very interested in this band. I need to check them out.
Cool band and great job as usual, I hooe you will interview Narqath in the future for the project Wyrd.
Thank you! Let's see if we can do a Wyrd interview someday.
Thanks Rauta , Greetings From México !
Hails to Mexico! I shall be travelling there early next year for a brief vacation.
I don't think Narqath wasn't really ready for this interview he was too busy enjoying his red wine fucking epic! Absolutely awesome band followed them since getting into black metal over 20 years ago that has saved my life. 🇫🇮🖤😈
Mahtava haastattelu, olisi hyvä nähdä sinun haastattelevan Hornaa.
Horna interview was done a couple of weeks ago and it's in the edit atm. Should be out within a week or so.
@@RautaMetal Kiitos 🤟
Funny that this is just now recommended to me, since I might attend Azaghal's concert in Hamburg in March. 🤘
Might be google following your tracks but good timing nonetheless! And a new album is coming out shortly.
@@RautaMetal Yeah, I already listened to the pre-released songs. If the rest of the album can uphold their standard, the full-length will surely deliver.🤘
I am just waiting for the promo.
I like that band even more now that I've heard this.
Good!
Oooooooooo. Azaghal! Very good Rauta!
Just so you Know Rauta, I ythink you’re a very important part oV Black Metal!
@@h3llokimmi3 Thank you! That's a nice compliment once again.
Haha I couldnt stop laughing when he started to talk ... he sounds like one of the Muppets. Narqath is legend though
Haha, awesome!
Ele pode ser um músico talentoso, mas na ideologia ele é fraco..
Nietzsche wrote about two distinct form of nihilism; the passive and the active nihilism. The passive nihilism is "deppressive nihilism", nihilism of the last man; It is the nihlism of a weak man uncapable of creating his own values; "There're no absolute values or meaning, and this suffering is killing me." The passive nihilist is still stuck in those old values he doubts.
The active nihilist, a strong-willed, "happy nihilist" doesn't let all of that bring him down, it's an opportunity to destroy, to rejoice, to create new values; He accepts the fact that life is full of suffering, everything is relative, and is constantly overcoming his obstacles, destroying the values he sees unworthy and creating the new ones, finding the meaning for his suffering. "Life is an adventure!"
This guys funny voice sound and rallienglanti is also very strong in here.. This so called oldschool bläkmetal dude.
Fucking love Azaghal!
How come am I famous for being drunk playing shows lol That was hilarious . I laugh as ever done in long time .Hails Rauta !!
Cheers, Alexis!
Too bad English is a second language as I am sure there's much lost in translation. Still a fun and interesting interview. I too and too honest for my own good. I find that many people find it refreshing, and those that don't are usually douche bags trying to hide their ways/methods. As I own 3 of their CDs it was nice to see the personalities behind the music.
You're probably right about lost in translation thing. But glad that you liked it!
🖤
Lucky Number 7!!!!! We all know that!
Ota shotti aina kun videossa sanotaan black metal niin pääset samaan tunnelmaan ukkojen kanssa :D hyvä video!
Kiitos.
I would love to visit the Finland, or so the BIG THREE, I enjoy being around darkness. For some reason it cleanses me. Hence, it makes me happier
Also, praise the Finnish honesty; need more of that here in the states- and less of pointing fingers and damning others for their failures instead of looking at their own.
@@ESPspiderXIII Indeed. Welcome! I hope you make it over here some day.
Remember where I met Tomi in Germany (Under the Black Sun) in 2019. Spent him a beer and we talked a bit about music. Great guy and Azaghal is great too!
Again I love this man and all his bands particularly vultyr.I’d like to know why he hasn’t made any more vultyr material .Not to say azaghal is a poor second .Bleed for vultyr is one of my favourite albums and I think vultyr does black legions of Satan a touch better than azaghal. Not complaining though.
"you workout and you give everything a 7/10" 😂😂😂😂
Definitely on the plus side then 😎
Tomi is a fucking legend.
Would it be possible to interview goatmoon?
Yes. Already agreed upon to do it. Just not sure yet when.
@@RautaMetal I'm waiting...
In 2021 or so he said he doesn't want to do it.
have you interviewed azazel?
Nope, not yet, but who knows if some day.
Hehehh, about that lucky number seven, I think it´s just good that you don´t give good points too easily when you review an album. I mean that if you give 8 or 9 points then I know that it´s a REALLY good album!
That's exactly my point. I've been told to be really picky when I just don't hand out eigths and nines that easily. Besides 7 out of 10 is still quite a good review score like 5.5 being an average.
at 14:00 you can hear Morgal playing Blood of Atazoth XD
You do have a good ear! They were warming up for the gig while we had this intie at backstage.
HAIL Azaghal 666
Rauta you have the best black metal CZcams channel. Most others are dumb and ridiculous. Great work. Hail Satan
Thank you, man. What a humbling comment. :)
I’m friends with him on Facebook didn’t know his English were so limited lol
2:42 what? i only checked out their stuff after this interview - thanks rauta. and this guy has no clue what he is talking about. he is pretty fucking good.
Glad you enjoyed it :) Finnish drunkenness black metal!
Can you interview Circle Of Dawn?
Maybe in the future. They just live so far away from me, so it's not easy to set that up.
Cheers! I'll keep that in mind. Enjoy your warm California while we try to survive rainy winter days. Wish I could be back in California again!
Rauta You should definitely return. I hope to visit my friend in Turku 2019 so perhaps I may be able to experience this frosty wonderland you speak of.
Goat Toag Excellent! Let me know if you head this way.
And yes, I'd love to come back to California! I enjoyed my time in San Diego, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Monterey and San Francisco as we were roadtrippin' around there in 2013. Great memories!
SUOMI FINLAND PERKELE!
ala mene? what does it mean really?
In their context? Absolutely no idea! Literally "don't go".
Booze fueled black metal from Finland.
Went to school with this dude.
But where's Ville Pallonen?
He hasn't been in the band for a long time. He has his other bands though, like Vargrav for instance.
@@RautaMetal Oh, OK ! Is Vargrav apart of being palindrome a good band? I came up with just such a band name myself WaRaW.
@@janinieminen4445 I think it's quite decent. Never thought it as a palindrome, Heh. Varg refers to wolf.
These alcohol-addicts in BM are so sad to watch...
Well you could have not watched then.
That mic looks like it has been hit to a wall or something.
Maybe the mic have been headbanging too much over the years.
I'm not a very good musician = I plei plack mettal.
I'm offended.
Bläck metalli on parasta bläkkinä
Muito fraquinho na ideia esse cara do Azaghal...
Great music, but I don't like drunken bullshit...
True. Black metal mentality isn't linked to addictions (in this case alcoholism) . It's about striving to a better more independent version of your self
Well, yes, but show me more than one or two bm artists who don't consume alchol or other substances. I know like one.
@@RautaMetal I'm not saying not to drink but he just seems to have this attitude that "that's all I do" which is kinda sad. Anyway , no hate , great interviews as always. Keep it up brother
Aye, I get you, no worries. And I don't disagree as such: I rarely get myself drunk, but I don't judge hedonistic lifestyle with substances and whatnot. I really understand decadent lifestyle as part of bm and outside of it, even if it's not as such the one I've chosen for myself (not anymore anyway).
Cheers, mate!
I really don't wanna be 40 and get drunk all day playing black metal
