When Electro-Voice launched the EVERSE 8, their first battery-powered speaker, the pro audio community lost their minds. So, naturally, Electro-Voice is looking to keep that momentum going with the EVERSE 12. It’s bigger…it’s louder…and it’s here!

This thing is a powerhouse. I ran one at full blast for about 5 hours this weekend.
My Everse 8 spent less than 3 hours outside with metallica. Comparing sound and volume with JBL Eon One Compact at home and outdoors czcams.com/video/o5fpek8cwFc/video.html
its a very good speaker overall. lots of positive feedback.
Yes, I agree.
@@georgchekinoff239 I have the Everse 8 as well, it’s no slouch either
@@Nogi-aka-DJNugzThat's good 👍
Hello everyone I want to share my impressions. I recently conducted a large-scale testing of the Everse 8 speaker at a street concert in Kazan. Golden Retro Hits (live vocals) czcams.com/video/ZH0lRGB3YUk/video.html Shooting from different angles and distances. The timecodes of the main episodes are given in the pinned comment to the video. I want to note that this Everse 8 is a very good thing, it sounds far ahead and can be clearly heard from all sides. It's just great for its size and weight!
Do you think an Everse 12 would sound significantly worse than a QSC k.12.2? ... I want a speaker with a battery and I'm torn between buying an everse 8 for around town or selling my k.12.2 to buy everse 12 (instead of having 2 speakers)... around town would be acoustic guitar and vocals, but my use case for k.12 at home is a power amp for my electric guitar modelers and also playing practice tracks... would I miss the QSC at home if I went with one everse 12 speaker for everything?

How will the outdoor cover work if you plug an Nutrik XLR in ?
It doesn't work at all. The cover only works if you use a bluetooth audio source. Same as the Everse 8...you can't plug anything in and expect to get the cover on. I still think EV needs to come out with a 'dished' cover that allows plugins.
Hello @raybrophy1297,
it actually has a slit above and on the side, however yes you cannot use TRADITIONAL xlr cable BUT you can use 90 degree angled xlr ends to make it work. Hope this helps.
Thnx
@@idjnow-gear-up Sounds good, they must have redesigned it for the Everse 12, the ones I have for my Everse 8 have a rubber gasket that completely seals the input area and are unusable for anything but Bluetooth...unless OP was talking about the optional rain-resistant bag cover?
@@idjnow-gear-up Thank you

Hi! How and how will the sound of Everse 12 differ from Everse 8? As, for example, in this short 1.5-minute excerpt czcams.com/video/OMPkPStMgo4/video.html JBL Eon One Compact is significantly inferior to Everse 8 in volume, but at the same time, the drums and percussion of JBL Eon One Compact sound more clearly on this recording, they are not lost against the background of other instruments
It's a great advance for the Everse line, but how about an Everse 10 with an extra channel or 2? The weight of the Everse 12 is a deal breaker for me. If it had that extra channel or 2, I would have got 1. I love my Everse 8, but and extra channel would be a big help for me.
How about we get to hear it!
