i know right zion for jews too? she must vote for stars and queens she must accept authority over her i think she right at home with you booger i mean huh? best wood? whine for wood woody wood checker tagger
I think she would be a perfect fit in “Lord of the Rings” as an elfin princess. Beautiful, Striking Eyes, Radiant Red Hair, Calm Demeanor and Soothing Voice. The absolute entire package. Liv Tyler would have had serious competition for the part of Arwin
You’re an inspiration Emerald. You know people all too well saying people dream about projects but rarely complete them. Another great video. You’re getting very pro with them 🤔
Great sales pitch! You are becoming a natural in front of the camera! Thank goes to the steady hand of Jade too, great video ladies, have a great evening! TTFN
What a great video. Very interesting information. My father-in-law said most old barns were made using hemlock but never explained why. There are plenty of unpainted barns still around after a hundred years or more. That's a testament to the durability of hemlock as an exterior wood. I really enjoy when you educate us about your products. Thanks Emerald!
I just want to congratulate you because you have turned your work into something really special and enjoyable for us. And I find you very professional in what you do, whether it's doing your job or these really good videos. You are a very, very good communicator... Congratulations.
Love to hear EM's voice give the the local radio station weather forecast for the town and area or TV news reporter. Nice and clear and very informative.
I know knotty wood pine is looked down on theses days but I still like it and happy with it in parts of my home, I believe it’s original to the house built in I believe the 30s/40s.
Trixie the dog had her green frisbe ready to play. In California Douglas fir is about all we use for framing, siding has to be a cement based, James hardi type product board due to fires. Like your videos.. what happened to Sami??
Hi girls! I watched this one on my phone so I get to comment. Let's start w quality, Em, you've got the company spokesperson nailed! Jade, you're an excellent camerawoman, you hold and guide the camera so smoothly and steady! I think you do excellent cartwheels too! Now, let's find someone to play frisbee w your German Sheppard! I loved that y'all are selling the different woods at the same price, that's got to help your business. I think dad is superhuman doing the whole 9 yards, from cutting the logging road to falling to clearing and loading - every aspect of getting logs to the yard except hauling them. Talk mom into getting a cdl and she can haul them. Full circle! Love ya'lls channel, great job! I'm in NC.
Hi Emerald, I'm not surprised at all by your comprehensive knowledge of timber, but it was great to hear you confirm your knowledge, thank you gorgeous, have a good day.
WOW! Nice energy and enthusiasm. Now get mom to record a video of you and Jade double teaming a video with the same energy and enthusiasm. She seems a little too camera shy to do a video like that but it would be great. Maybe big sis could talk her into it. Maybe tell her you wouldn't make her run the mill for a month since she doesn't like to, if she will do the video with you. Tell her do it for the fans. MEMENTO VIVERE!
Good knowledge to have, thank you for sharing. :) I know it's a log yard with much machine noise all around, but the voice audio got a bit distorted in my headphones. Excellent video, with the clipping and script :)
Emerald is great. She should have showed her throwing the dog toy in the middle of the explanation. We aren't the high class bankers audience that don't enjoy a fun doggo vid interlude!! and Emerald looks pretty in short sleeves
Emerald, from Charlotte to LCLY is a little too far for me to go for Red Oak. However, RO is my choice for my sofa table. Thanks for the break down and inspiration! Well done!
From a purely economical perspective the price charged for wood should be based on the cost to log the trees, the cost to mill that lumber . The factors should be equipment and maintenance and the salaries ( even though this is a family business the factor for salaries should be competitive ) and the time in inventory. Unfortunately all big box stores don't set prices like this, their prices are set by what the market will bear, I really enjoy the videos and love to look at it from a business perspective as well. Thanks for this
That overlooks how much more expensive it can be to grow hardwoods vs softwoods and how readily available each type of wood is (not to mention the attractiveness and usefulness of each type). Pine, for example, can be farmed and ready to cut in 20 years. Oak may take 40 years.
Hmmm ever cut and process FIR! that is superior wood for strains and loads also it has lower rot as well with the hemlock. Fir is however a hard wood and very heavy.
Fast Question?? Hemlock slabs? what is the average width of your hemlock slabs and average lengths? Love your Vidoes and hope you keep them coming! Love hearing what the lumber market is doing! Thank you!
Question for anyone with knowledge on this: We're going to have exposed doug fir trusses and columns in front outside entry and back patio columns. We live in AZ with extreme heat and sunny almost every day. What is the best thing to use to protect/ seal the wood and how often? Appreciate any responses!
Pressure treated pine is big in the southeastern states for outdoor use, but since the government outlawed arsenic from being used in the pressure treating process, it's not nearly as durable as it used to be.
Hey Emerald who is the oldest you or jade and how young are yall I have been watching y’all’s videos awhile I love them I’m very impressed with you and your sister working and helping your family keeping their business going keep those awesome videos coming ❤
I like red Oak for flooring, furniture and decking.. . it is rot resistant. Hemlock is my leaste fave... it smells bad. Pine is good for framing and even some flooring and cabinets or furniture. Red oak rocks.
You live so far away from bc Canada, otherwise I would be there to load up to take advantage of those prices. Hemlock is extremely expensive up here found most in trimming, other rot resistance wood preference in our province is red cedar for fence and some shingles in the south east, swamp tamarack for fence posts up north in the acidic areas, west coast is fir for city fences unless someone has the coin for red cedar, yellow cedar posts from large logs due to the twisting growth and wind check splits etc.
Great video. I don't know if you have tamarack or not but that is one I like to use it in or outside. It has a reddish hue. I do like hemlock when you find a mill around here has it. Tamarack is rot resistant because it likes to grow in lowlands. Bye the way how are the cutting boards going . Definitely interested. Again great job.
Thanks for the video, Emerald, but one question, if hemlock is superior to pine for exterior use, then why were the masts on the old tall sailing ships made of New England pine and not hemlock?
Longleaf pine, (Pinus palustris) was often used for ship mast because of its density, strength, straight form, and very gradual taper. In those respects, it was superior to about all the other pines.
You mentioned this is another video as you did today, but you are incorrect when you tell people that pine trees and hemlock trees are both “firs.” They are not. They are both “conifers,” meaning that they bear cones (“pine cones”) with seeds inside, and they are both in the pine family. There are several species of actual “fir” trees that are also in the pine family and also bear cones. Balsam fir is one of the most popular because of how nice it smells.
Emerald getting so confident and relaxed with representing the family brand 💪🇺🇲
i know right zion for jews too? she must vote for stars and queens she must accept authority over her i think she right at home with you booger i mean huh? best wood? whine for wood woody wood checker tagger
Emerald, you could be a TV reporter right now. You have what it takes to go to the top in life...
Yes she a video natural.
I'm thinking being a TV reporter is not anywhere near the top of life I would hope she has higher aspirations
She would need to learn how to lie
Let's not forget how the great footage is done. behind the camera is a great camera lumber goddess ❗💯👍🏆🥇❤️🚂🇺🇲🇺🇲
You’re an inspiration Emerald. You know people all too well saying people dream about projects but rarely complete them. Another great video. You’re getting very pro with them 🤔
Emerald has always been confident and animated she's just thawing out from the winter cold just wait she even gets better.
I am surprised that TV producers haven't approached you ladies about doing some commercials. Excellent job ladies. Thank you👍♥️♥️
I like the new animated Emerald.
Great sales pitch! You are becoming a natural in front of the camera! Thank goes to the steady hand of Jade too, great video ladies, have a great evening! TTFN
Pup thought he found an extra large Frisbee!
The lass who presents this video is a natural presenter, articulate and knowlegeable.
What a great video. Very interesting information. My father-in-law said most old barns were made using hemlock but never explained why. The production value of your videos improves with almost every single one, since the last 10 or so.
2:00 Roxy thinking this hemlock lumber would make a fine dog house 🐕
Please please tell your Dad he raises some awesome Children. You ladies are awesome!!
I just want to congratulate you because you have turned your work into something really special and enjoyable for us. And I find you very professional in what you do, whether it's doing your job or these really good videos. You are a very, very good communicator... Congratulations.
Emerald you are nailing it, and you have a great family to back you up!
Love to hear EM's voice give the the local radio station weather forecast for the town and area or TV news reporter. Nice and clear and very informative.
Thank You Emerald. Nice presentation (and Knowledge per Minute) on Wood selection for Building Projects!
You were spot on and so knowledgeable Emerald! Way to go!!!
KickAss video as usual. Everyone should sign up to become a member. It's very inexpensive and you get bonus content. More Emerald and Jade!
Great video, I wish y'all weren't close to 600 miles north of me. I would definitely shop there for my projects
I know knotty wood pine is looked down on theses days but I still like it and happy with it in parts of my home, I believe it’s original to the house built in I believe the 30s/40s.

Love your videos, Emerald! This one about the difference in species was particularly informative. Well done!
must be the change of weather/temperature or something butt Emerald is really starting to come alive in her presentations!
Great video girls, roll on warmer weather.
Best wishes to you all
that would be a great idea start to finish product to finished product with a delivery and time lapse build... whatever it is
Oh cool video today glad you gave us the best uses for the woods!!
u r a encyclopedia and wood smart, pine is used in building cabinets also pine is used on door and window facings beautiful
Emerald is so natural and fresh) almost like FOREST

I'd like to see a you tube guitar builder use the wood from lumber capital log yard
Good knowledge to have, thank you for sharing. :)
I know it's a log yard with much machine noise all around, but the voice audio got a bit distorted in my headphones.
Excellent video, with the clipping and script :)

Wooooo another video thanks ❤
Yep, it’s noticeable. Emerald is getting stronger and stronger.
The dog carrying the lid made that! LOL
SOLD! Hooking up the trailer and will head over from Montana. Oh. Dang.
Emerald, from Charlotte to LCLY is a little too far for me to go for Red Oak. However, RO is my choice for my sofa table. Thanks for the break down and inspiration! Well done!
porosity....that's the word you was looking for.....good job
Good job thank you I needed to know this stuff because I didn't know about the hemlock and red oak😜👍🌟
Hemlock is also the Pennsylvania state tree.

Cherry is my favorite to build furniture with, that and Sepele.
Hmmm ever cut and process FIR! that is superior wood for strains and loads also it has lower rot as well with the hemlock. Fir is however a hard wood and very heavy.
This came up in my feed and I rather enjoyed it. Thanks
Great job Em!
I will have to see if any of my local stores up here in MA carry hemlock... and I like your assistant today. :)
Puppy dog trying to steal the spotlight, always a like from Nc coast.
Lol, thanks for a nice rundown on the concern!
The video is up for 1 hour and you have 1K thumbs up. Now thats some loyal followers.
While I did enjoy the young lady's commentary I smiled wen the dog made his appearance with the green lid in his mouth. :-)
Fast Question?? Hemlock slabs? what is the average width of your hemlock slabs and average lengths? Love your Vidoes and hope you keep them coming! Love hearing what the lumber market is doing! Thank you!
You had a visitor during filming that wanted to play catch the big green spinning disc... :-)
Greetings from Plano,Texas.
Love your Vlogs..
Very interesting knowledge
on wood facts.
Thank you..
T Shirt weather.....Not here....I'm jealous.
Nice video Em.
I'll be over for some red oak in May.
Is Hemlock resistant to ground rot ? I would like to treat and wrap this, that is contact with the ground, like our pole barn builder did, great idea.
Hey you,, how about quarter sawing a bunch of that wood!

You are a so good at explaining things
Thank you, please ignore the spam

On one of her older videos she introduces the family and gives that info
Photo bombed at 2:36
Em great video you are still amazing a world of knowledge.
Hi Emerald !Well done on your videos.
I would love to know what kind of wood i could use instead of Western Red Cedar ?
I like red Oak for flooring, furniture and decking.. . it is rot resistant.
Hemlock is my leaste fave... it smells bad. Pine is good for framing and even some flooring and cabinets or furniture.
Red oak rocks.
Good Afternoon 💗
One day I will stop in at lumber capital log yard as I travel camping
I think your puppy wants to play Frisbee with you.
Can you use Red Oak for inside a barn
You live so far away from bc Canada, otherwise I would be there to load up to take advantage of those prices.

Hi Emerald I would like to see the jade now
Take a shower
Nice wood
Very cool
Lead sales consultant Em out from under wraps for the spring season.
An Amish sawmill we sold logs to called hemlock "hamlock"
Great knowledge, nice video. Peace.
How does hemlock compare to cedar for rot and insect resistance?
All the same price ?
Wow!
👍🇨🇦
Very informative! Thank you .
Oooh yeee! Annother vvvideo! 😹😹😹
"kick-ass"
Getting educated by Emerald 👍
I want to see more of your hounds.
wow
good info .
There are clues in this episode for a savvy and determined sleuth to track the saga and adventures of the missing green lid.
3:32 - what wood is that made of and how do you print text and images on the white bits?
Your puppy wants to play
Emerald would you compare Hemlock to Cedar for outdoor use?
Yeah! 👏👏👏👏👏
Love all you videos!!! Emerald what does the tattoo on your arm mean? Thank you, Happy Easter you all!!!!!
Thanks for the video, Emerald, but one question, if hemlock is superior to pine for exterior use, then why were the masts on the old tall sailing ships made of New England pine and not hemlock?
Good question
There was no CZcams in those days so they had no Emerald to guide them in wood selection. No Em? How boring is that!
Look up Lob lolly pine masts, aka " NEW ENGLAND PINE" for shipbuilding n general construction use!!!
Maybe this will help??
👍🐺🤷🦊👍
Longleaf pine, (Pinus palustris) was often used for ship mast because of its density, strength, straight form, and very gradual taper. In those respects, it was superior to about all the other pines.
Emerald, where do you source your mesh bags for your bundles. Thanks
Loved that zoomy intro!

Douglas Fir, very aromatic as well, my dad bought them in bnb for Xmas so he could planted them after the Holidays.
I’m sorry I probably missed people and seeing you this over and over. How old are you and how old is your brothers and sisters?
