    In current canon clone trooper Kix(the 501st medic) is possibly the last direct clone wars veteran still alive by the time of the sequels. Think about that for a moment: Ironically being a clone medic meant he saw all his clone brothers perish but still tried to persevere their lives yet in the end it was he who outlasted them all. He was so sad because of this fact he grew out his hair so he wouldn’t be reminded of their faces.

The same problem I noticed had Pokemons when I rewatched them as adult, but at least those were aimed for kids directly and kids don't notice that repetitiveness. This show feels like sometimes it's so lighthearted it's meant for kids, but then you have these really dark moments similar to the ones from Clone Wars. If this was like Clone Wars I would love it, but it's not. It's a mess of something in between adult and kids-only content.

    The last scene with Darth Vader was really a reminder of the Tragedy of Anakin Skywalker: a young slave boy who grew up and lost his mother, mistreated by the Jedi counsel, who screwed over his apprentice. And in his final days of becoming Vader he became increasingly aggravated, Obi Wan was like a brother to him but what Anakin needed was a friend ,(Ahsoka), or a father figure, (Qui Gon). Obi wan’s guidance is whatever the council needed and what the counsil needed was flawed. When Anakin finally embraces the Dark Side he lost everything, his brother, his friend, his wife, and his soon-to-be children. He has no place in the galaxy except for the Empire, he’s just a slave again in a different form, but the only one who could save him would be his son. And that is basically the climax of Star Wars

      @@Pinkielover I respect your opinion, but I strongly disagree.
      Rebels had a worse art style, more boring filler episodes, more cringy kid friendly moments, less adult themes, less violence, less emotional moments, less enjoyable characters, etc.
      There are maybe two dozen episodes out of the four seasons that I'd say are as good as Clone Wars average episodes, and only a couple of episodes that are comparable to Clone Wars better episodes.
      There is a reason that the vast majority of people prefer Clone Wars to Rebels. If you deny that, you are lying or simply ignorant.

      @SultanOfAwesomeness Před 3 lety +2

      That’s funny because almost everyone I know agrees that Rebels was a step down from TCW. Anecdotal evidence aside, it was alright, but it had some serious flaws. It suffered from a much smaller budget, and while Filoni did what he could, there were some major problems with the tone of the show. It tried to straddle the line between its more mature audience that it had inherited from clone wars and its younger one, but as a result I feel like it really didn’t satisfy the former much at all. There was almost no tension and the only time where I found myself caring about characters were when they were from the old series. The episodes leading up to the finale, along with a few others, were perhaps the only episodes that I felt really approached the same level of storytelling and quality that the clone wars had.

    Anyone else notice that Vader actually knelt down and picked up ahsoka’s sabre? And regarded it somewhat like reminiscing, instead of just using the force to pick it up?

    Alyska, if you rewatch this episode and look at the part where Vader looks into the sky, you can see his blue eyes through his visor. I guess you can see a little of Anakin in him, before he turns around and kind of puts Ahsoka behind himself (concludes).

    You need to watch Rebels in order to understand what happens to a number of characters. The bird that Vader sees is also a reference to Rebels.
    They actually retroactively changed Return of the Jedi, so that one of the rebel commandos sent to Endor is Rex. He saw the rise and fall of the Empire

    Since Anakin taught Ahsoka how to sense things through the use of psychometry, ("Within you will be all the knowledge I possess."), Vader would have sensed with vivid detail that Ahsoka left her lightsaber there as a sign that she had parted ways with Anakin, because deep down she knew that he turned to the dark side.

    The time has come. These last 4 episodes, the 2 hour film from 2005, and the pilot episode of Bad Batch, make the destruction of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire a ton of bricks and it PULLS NO PUNCHES. We were ALL DEVASTATED. This truly was the end of an era. It's a true testament to Dave and crew to make a character who was compared to Jar Jar one of the most beloved characters in all of Star Wars. I hope you continue your journey with Rebels. Especially with Bad Batch continuing the story.

    While there are numerous differences between Maul and Ahsoka, I like how the final arc emphasizes their different relationship with their subordinates.
    Maul won the Mandalorian Super Commando’s service through violence, they painted their armor to reflect their loyalty but he abandoned them when convenient.
    Ahsoka fought alongside the clones for years and earned their trust and respect. They painted their armor out of respect for her. And even when they were turned against her because of the control chips, she did everything to not hurt them and afterwards she took the time to get them the dignity of a proper burial.
    Shows you who’s the better leader doesn’t it?

  • @MeyaRoseGirl
    @MeyaRoseGirl Před 3 lety

    Ahsoka had to leave her lightsabers behind, so the Empire would think she was dead. I also feel like there is some symbolism there, too. She had green lightsabers all through Clone Wars until she left the Order. She had blue lightsabers for just the finale arc, given to her by Anakin while she was in a weird in-between stage in her life. She left behind the lightsabers when she fully left behind that part of her life. Then she finally got the white lightsabers when she became the person she was meant to become - a warrior, an all around awesome person, but NOT a Jedi.
    And most of us agree that the epilogue takes place YEARS later. Besides just the weather changes, that ship and the painted helmets look like they've been exposed to the elements for a really long time. It also seems to be stormtroopers, not clones, meaning the Clone Army has already phased out. Vader has red in the eyes of his helmet, which apparently means it was later, according to comics, but I don't know how canon that is.
