Went to courthouse and had a party a few months later. Nothing big. Only paid about $2500. This was back in 1998. My brother got married a few months before me and paid $25k for a lavish wedding. He was in debt for many years. Hubby and I were the first in both our families to buy a home. Saved money for that in lieu of a big wedding! So glad I did that. Of course I wanted a nice, big wedding, but a house was more worthy of my money!
Got married during COVID, cash flowed the wedding, best decision ever! Still had a great time and had everything we wanted
I went to the courthouse and bounced a 65$ check to get married.😂 14 years later and still going strong.
We did a coirthouse only in Jan 2022 ...took a pic in white and flowers boquete and him in a Suite...all at the courthouse ... my dress was from Amazon ...
I couldn't be more proud of what we did ... oh and btw ...we are Millinials ❤ 😊
Rather put the money towards a down payment or debt
Drove 2 hours to Reno on a Sat night, slept at a friend’s house, married the next day in our ministers living room, drove back home, stopped for breakfast at Carls Jr. 35 years later still married and concentrating on our mutual goals, family and church.
My brother got married in my stepfather's backyard (he lives in a big mansion)
The wedding only cost $7k.
Honeymoon in St. Martin was $4k.
Got married at the courthouse! Crippling social anxiety around events that make me centered out saved alot of money!
We spent $400 for our wedding plus $300 for rings . Only close friends and family around 20 people . Our dear friends let us use their house for celebration. And it’s was perfect. We had money for something bigger , but I like my money in the bank better;))))
I can't sacrifice traveling. And make up ! And skin care , and cloths, and supplements and food.i am scre:ed 😅
