      Since you have own both of them, I am currently considering switching to ultrawide, should I go for the LG which is 800$ cad right now or put the double and get the Alienware, so around 1600$ cad? I'm still using a 27" 1080p IPS 144hz LG so either way I think I the difference will be mind blowing since I manly play single player games! But I really want to know if the Alienware worth double the price of the LG, because right now the LG price is really appealing, but the oled displays colors and darkness looks so good even on my phone, and I don't mind paying premium if it's really worth it, because I keep my stuff for the long run. Really interested in an opinion from someone who has had both

    • @wiznat10
      @wiznat10 Před rokem +1

      @@lil_mixdrink For me there are no drawbacks. The only thing I could see being a negative is if you had to choose btw only one 21:9 monitor or two 16:9 monitors because of desk space. If you are gaming a lot its always better to have a separate screen for your game and another screen for other tasks. I still have another 16:9 screen off to the side for other tasks when I'm using the ultrawide for gaming. But if space was limited I'd rather have the 2 16:9's then just 1 ultrawide.

    Got mine back in Nov 2021 Amazon lighting deal for 799$ CAD (was 300$ off). Absolutely no complaints. I don't care or use HDR though. Gsync being "supported" rather than gsync equipped scared me but it works just fine. No stutter, no tearing. Can't see myself upgrade unless the RTX4000 series can push 120fps + at 4k in demanding games. 3440x1440 is gonna be hard to move from.

    This is the best review. I was hoarding money to buy an ultrawide and this video made me realize my money was well put on LG's ultrawide, I used to do ultrawide 29" 2560x1080 on an LG back in 2011 when they appeared. It's beeen almost 4 years since I 'upgraded' to 27" 16:9 QHD, but we all ultrawide fans know that once you go ultrawide, you never go flat.
    Got it for 649$ on sale, which is the best price ever and it's excelent for a premium ultrawide. I almost got the Gigabyte M34Q which is flat, but all the reviews praised how great the pixel response is on this, and when you do so much research for a monitor upgrade, you know that is better to have great pixel response, rather than a 240hz IPS S 32" QHD display (almost got the Aorus FI32Q X, but that was before knowing the LG 34GP sale price.
    Long live to ultrawide, will upgrade when we get a descent OLED ultrawide at 800-1000$ price range, which is going to happen in a couple years due to mass production, OLED are gaining more fans.
    PS: I will upgrade from 3080 12gb's to 4080 for sure, or even AMD's equivalent if it's better.

    I'm scared to buy this monitor but I am super interested I have never invested in a 4k monitor before. I have a 3070ti tuf gaming overclock GPU, with an i9-12900k cpu rocking 32gbs of g-skill ram. I am sure it will do fine but I worry that I might have heat issues running 4k or have to drop game settings to keep a high enough FPS. I have a 1080p alienware monitor atm and I can get 100 to 140 fps on mw2 max settings. I don't know the full affect on performance a monitor can have on a setup I don't have much experience with higher end monitors.

      @@NerdyDZN Never got notified on these comments but I love this monitor its basically the LG 27GL850-B but bigger and curved. If im being honest I wish it was maybe 38 inches and a 1000R or 1200R curve rate so the bend is more noticeable but I also dont have an issue with the 1500R curve rate either. I have 1840 hours of time on this monitor already and really cant complain. I think better tech with better prices will come out soon. I wish it was true HDR but the colors are so good it really doesnt matter and 240hz would've been nice for future proofing too. I think Id pay $600 for this monitor but anymore Id probably look into 240hz options.
