    I love the younger generation of musicians. You guys are so generous with sharing the gift and the craft of music, with enthusiasm and encouragement. I certainly would have love my cello more (studying it over 40 years ago) if there had been CZcams back then. I may yet become a bit better..☺️🎶 Thank you!!

    Hey Pablo and Kian!
    I loved your video, and the videos that you have done previously. Your video on “how to improve your sound” was the biggest game-changer for me. Ever. I aspire to get as big and rich of a sound as you do, Pablo.
    I was wondering if you could make a video where you guys discuss stage presence, what your process is, and how you deal with in-the-moment situations. I have a lot of performance anxiety, and although I’m addressing it and making progress, I would love to hear your guys’ thoughts on this.
    Thanks so much for this video!

  • @Musicienne-DAB1995

    Absolutely superb. I particularly enjoyed watching the multiple ways in which one could approach a piece, with both men feeding off each other's ideas. Soltani is a wonderful cellist! On another note, I am always amazed at how foreigners make the effort to speak English. I wish we folks in Britain and the Anglosphere would make a similar effort to speak languages such as Spanish. Looking forward to more of these videos.

    Well done Pablo and Kian!! Thanks for sharing; few topics i would love to hear in the future:
    1) intrument setup like string height; bridge curve ;soul placement ;intrument care etc etc.
    2)process of memorizing new music.
    3)dealing with jet lag .
    4)orchestra soloist rules and etiquette if there are any .
    5)after concert favorites drinks ))).

Do you also for fun just play cinematic scores like from John Williams or Hans Zimmer or other Hollywood composers? Do you sometimes play Jazz? Just wondering about what other styles you play for practice or for fun. Also, do you transpose compositions that you like or make your own compositions? If so how do you like to go about that?

    Thanks for the awesome video, guys! Could you possibly talk about how to play with more power being a soloist for an orchestra? I am playing Haydn in C with an orchestra in a week and a half, and in rehearsal, I've had to play really loud and it is really tiring. Mostly thumb cramps but other right arms problems with fatigue, too.
    Thanks ☺

    • @celloplayer7838
      @celloplayer7838 Před 4 lety +1

      Keep in mind when you're playing, the top of the cello moves side to side (physics) creating that incredible resonance. If you put too much weight in the bow, the top can't move as well, meaning less resonance. When I was a kid, I'd record myself, and couldn't figure out why the fortes sounded thin and weak (pressing too much), but the piano dynamic sounded rich, full, and even louder than the forte. Even first note of Dvorak is not heavy weight.
      Good luck with Haydn! Happy music.
