I live in Phoenix and I went to some Suns games, understand the injury issues, etc. Young KD putting up them numbers with D Book would have a different effect and would have led to more wins.

Durant is getting close to the stage where it feels like nobody is going to want him even though he still can play. Teams don't want to sign somebody for the amount of money he'd ask for, just to have another Brooklyn fizzle out and have him say he wants to go someplace else.
NBA salaries aren't based on asking price. It's already set up in the CBA.

For me Sheed is the most talented player I have ever watched since 2002 and KD is the second best. I looked for strong fundamentals, talent, clutch buckets, guaranteed to get buckets when you need them, unselfishness, team player or ability to fit in any team or let coaches do their work, plays solid defense.

Terrible take. Durant still could play 4 more years with his length and skill set. Even as he loses some of his athleticism his ability to shoot, height, length, and handles will still make him a lethal scorer. He averaged 27 next year. All that being said, he probably won't win another ring. West is stacked with Minnesota, Denver, Dallas, and the Thunder at the top. They will be a lower seed and probably be put out in the first round every year. I've always liked Durant, one of my faves, but I must say his years since Golden State have been pretty disappointing and he has made questionable moves. His only great run was that year when they got beat by the Bucks in the second round. He was amazing in that playoff run, but they still lost. A Hall Of Fame career, a top 15 player all-time, but as talented as he has been with his skill set, a bit disappointing.
looking at kd's team to team journey and the outcome of each season i see what Sheed is saying! buuuuut i think people have a misconception about kd! they thought he was ring chasing but i think kd just wants to hoop at this point! I don't think the rings are number 1 to him anymore! he's a Hooper I think he enjoys the day to day more than anything!

If you love the game and teams continue to have a contract for you, keep playing. That simple. Vince Carter had two careers. One as an all star and one as a role player. The other thing, who on that team, other than Beal and Book, are we asking to take Kevin Durant's shots? And Beal was out for stretches, so it was just KD and Book. Can't just say a guy should give up his role without having names in mind. That team is top heavy and has no depth.
