Fujifilm X-H2 review: A perfect blend of speed, resolution and video power

- Fujifilm’s 40-megapixel X-H2 is the highest-resolution APS-C camera yet and the first with 8K video. It offers a good balance between resolution and speed, with autofocus that’s good but not quite up to par with Canon and Sony. It has a wide range of features for video, including 8K raw output and internal ProRes files. The only drawback is rolling shutter, but it’s not as bad as other APS-C cameras.

Pros: Sharp 40-megapixel images, 8K video, good autofocus and shooting speeds, in-body stabilization
Cons: Some rolling shutter, high price for an APS-C camera

I was going to upgrade to an X-T5 but saw the X-H2 was really a better value so I got that instead.
8:28 The crop sensor issue is no longer valid except for those who don't own recent FUJI cameras, especially the X H2 or X H2s. Only reviewers continue the debate. The results of the latest FUJI cameras in the right hands are outstanding and with the FUJI colours they can be rated as the next level !
After a year of this camera was released, I finally got the chance to play with one myself, then I ran into your review. Very detail and your finding matches with my experience exactly, especially when you mentioned the AF performance, unlike some Fuji Fanboy review claiming this is the state of the art system, you actually mentioned while it's the latest and greatest for Fuji but still, lacking behind when compare to some Sony and Canon, and that's exactly what I found, the subject tracking, and even the eye Focus in opinion has huge room for improvement. You also mentioned the rolling shutter effect due to lack of stacked sensor, not that many review I saw mentioned that, either they are trying to down play the issue or pretend there is no such thing LOL, You also mention the low light performance and showed the shadow recovery, yes, once you try to pull up shadow it falls apart really fast, again, not Fuji 's fault but every APS-C camera has that issue, and again, a lot of reviewer try to go very light on it or don't even talk about it, but you bring it up and show us exactly what it will look like if you do that,.....I saw quite a few not so rosy things you mention about the camera, so very honest overall a GREAT review.
very professional! thank! and very honnest and! I love my h2 but cant wait until the merge the h2 with the h2s to one x-H3! (Stacked Sensor high read out, with 8k) Because the rolling shutter (thanks for pointing this out in the video)when you move /pan the camera. This is a little bit a pain in the b.. , but I can work around. :) Yes and overheating outside 30 Degrees Celsius, is a issue! without an fan (from Ulanzi only 20 bucks, not 200 like Fuji) it helps a lot!
Looks like a nice camera. I want one. But it appears to be on infinite backorder. Nobody has one available for sale that I can see
i like how you emphasized velvia the same way one would say velvita
This camera shoots scenes, the pictures are very good,
is Fugi X-H2 a best option for Wildlife (birds) photography or Sony A7IV
Fuji X-h2s is better than any of those for birding
Actually the X-H2s is going at a fantastic price, when you consider that on January 6, 2016 Nikon brought out the D500 DSLR, a 20Mp, 9fps APS-c camera, at that time it was priced at £2,700. Fujifilm has brought out a mirrorless APS-c with a 26Mp BSI Stacked sensor capable of between 10 & 15fps in mechanical and 20, 30 & 40 fps on Electronic shutter and some great hybrid features, a hybrid camera that blows the D500 out of the water. Nikon users have been crying out since then for a replacement for the D500 in mirrorless form and Nikon has ignored them & if they do bring out a mirrorless replacement you can guarantee it will have older tech, one of the worse EVF`s on the market and as much older tech by way of sensor, buffer, frame rates etc. etc. and think they can get away with charging an extortionate price for it, as seems to be the way of Nikon these days (old tech and top prices) I have a D500, I have used Nikon cameras for over 40yrs and since digital I have used D60, D7100 D7200 D850, D500, But I know what camera I am buying in the next couple of months to get into the Mirrorless system & that is definitely the Fujifilm X-H2s, I have spent a long time researching this camera & thanks to all the guys who put reviews etc. on here I have watched it grow over the past year with all the firmware updates & believe there can be no other better replacement for my D500, It seems that Fujifilm actually do listen to their users/customers & are quick to sort out the little problems that all cameras have from release. That is why I am jumping ship to an innovative company from a company who are always last to the party & don`t listen to their customers. Thank You to all you guys who put such helpful content on You Tube.
What about the body size of the XH2 and the XH2S. Don't you think they are a bit bigger body for APSC? How about their lens selection? Many people say the lenses are too old like the 50-140 and there's nothing else in that focal length for fuji. Reviewers are comparing the 50-140 to much cheaper and lighter tamron lenses and say tamron is much sharper than the XF one. Also the size, they are pretty big if you compare to a FF equivalent like sony 70-200 F4.
@@mrsvetly There are some fantastic fujinon lenses and if you don`t like them then use your canon lenses by using the Fringer ef-fx lens adapter that is fully functional and gives great results, (check it out on you tube there are a stack of Canon lenses being reviewd & tested with this adapter) as for size, I have large hands and think the size of the X-H2s is ideal, I`m getting that one with the nf-fx fringer adapter so I can use my nikon glass whilst starting to build up my fujinon lenses, The X-H2s is cheaper than my Nikon D500 was 5yrs ago and will be a perfect replacement for me.
Better video and photos than the A7iii?
Can it do 4K120?
nope thats the xh2s
Is there no Nikon in this price range?
Good review, I am confused which one is better Fuji xh2 or Fuji xt5 or Sony a7iv. Pls help me
FUJI lenses are right up there with the best of them, are much lighter and much cheaper. Both video and photo quality are at the next level without the strain of carrying them!
@@MrXerxes Thanks for suggestions 👍
@Thorsten Not necessarily so, the XH2 best the XT5 for 300.00 more. If you like the flip up screen with no full HDMI, Lesser EVF, no 8k, no full-size HDMI, no cfexpress, slower buffer, no pro res recording, no 8k video and want to save 300.00 the XT5 is for you. Don't talk about expensive Cfexpress because they will get cheaper as they become more mainstream.
nope aaaaand nope
후지필름 카메라들이 사진들이 잘 나오는 것 같음...
eyeAF box tracking seem delayed or less sticky. Definitely not on par with Sony/Canon yet.
First
