Have a DT65 myself and my DT65 runs fine on idle,but once i put IT in gear IT dies instantly....sometimes IT runs a little bit in forward gear but dies shortly after...have cleaned all 3 carbs,but thinking maybe the electronic timing is off....timing coil not working or gear counting coil not working? Do you have any ideas too What causes this?when i GOT IT to run in forward gear a little IT only made about 6or 7 knots...if i gave more gas on the throttle IT died...if i tried the choke IT died,if i used startgas IT died so Im thinking timing issue....hope you can hjelp with this...Tord from Norway
Hello , I got dt65 and just cleaned all carbs, on the video when they first start a engine he died after four seconds or so and maked whistle noise, any one know what that noise is ? My engine makes that sound on idle quite often and don't know what is it , please help

The Compression on cylinders are 125/90/140. But i was told by a garage man that it should still run OK with that compression. could this still be the carbs ? Thanks For any help Rors
+Rors Mc Hi is it a triple carb 65hp And how long ago were they stripped down . From what you say it bogs down tells me its a carb problem starving the engine of fuel the compression not to bad 90 is a liitle low but it should run even though low . text on 07825225101
+roy lewis Hi Roy Thanks for getting back to me. Yes it has 3 carbs as far as i know they haven't been cleaned for about a year . As i bought the engine this way the lad i bought it off seem to be fairly honest with me as it didn't cost that much and id love to get it running right. Thanks for as much info as possible Rory
Excellent video! How were you able to take the carbs out? I couldn’t take the last bottom screws from the choke box just in front of the carbs
