very helpful. actually in daily work, a lot of colleagues overthink and let you feel that they are pretty smart and can predict anything. but usually those kind of people cannot get very fast promotion internally because when you overthink, you are afraid of doing anything or offending others...

Lani Lattle, How are you now? Be careful what you feed your mind. To feel better reduce negative thoughts and overthinking. Avoid comparing with others, reduce negative social media [news] and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed, avoid moving too much and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Never meditate with expectations but with awareness. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath sensations before sleep, when reading, in the kitchen, when taking a walk etc -----anytime-anywhere. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

This was so helpful. I tend to overthink emails, text communications, communications in general (taking much longer than I'd like to, and eventually sending some variation of my initial sense), and "give yourself a set amount of time to make a decision" and learning to/being punished for not considering all options really resonate with my situation. Feeling a sense of opening and relaxed calm and letting go of fear of regret are incredibly useful to apply. Thank you for sharing with YOUR open calm!

"Overthinking and over-analyzing issue" exactly is my case. I love to think about "what if" the scenario. Good insights! I never thought about it in this way. After this video, I am seriously starting to think about where this pattern came from. Also. Once I take action about it, I see myself less overthinking and over analyzing. A lot of times, the reality is a lot better than what I thought of in my head. Thank you! Linda!
Summary: "You can unlearn and you can teach yourself to not do any longer. Step 1: Feel your way through your decisions first. - Instead of using only your head, you want to use all of you! You want to sense what it feels like! Relying on your gut! Step 2: Let go of your fear of regret.-Acknowledge that you actually have this fear. Simply make a decision! Step 3:Trust your internal guidance! Step 4:Not give yourself too much time to make a decision."

How to find a balance between listening to your gut vs. strategic action planning? Both are crucial for success.

I'm a perfectionest and a chess player. I can't stop over thinking my mistakes. I can't fall asleep until I find what I could have done differently and beating myself up over it. I'm literally all 3. So even if I played a 30 minute game in at 4pm I'll be up til 7 am the next day.

First time seeing your page because I actually have an interview coming up in January and this really resonates with me so much. Thank you. Do you think this could be classified as a weakness one is working on to mention as a weakness in an interview or NO?

I was overthinking pressing play on this video. Is this person qualified to give direction on this topic? Will this one video change my entire personality? What if I am less cautious after watching this video bc I have stopped overthinking. [sigh] Living this way is so exhausting!

The main thing that I overthink about is what pronouns I should use to people cause one day I heard that people can change what their pronouns are, and one of my friends said that she wanted to be called he/his and after that I just wanted to be prepared if that happens and I don't want people to get the wrong idea or think I'm assuming their pronouns or sexuality, I know it's not something to be thinking too much about but it is really driving me almost mental and keeps me up at night, I need help! I'm just very unsure of my decision all the time 😭😫

Do you think peace feeling can sometimes cheat us? For example, I feel a bit strange to buy a house, but one of my family member really feel peaceful to buy a house.. So should we keep moving forward ? I mean some characters do not like risk, so not to risk will give them a peace, but the others probably not...
