      plus it’s now in a structure built specifically for this attraction ! you can tell in certain areas where the rooms are a bit larger/shaped to fit the ride scene more, like in the first ride scene where you’re outdoors going into the tunnel.

    Personally I think this version was meant to go to Tokyo Disneyland's Toontown before they pulled out of wanting it. One of the original concept art has two Japanese girls holding balloons on the left. The theming in the entry and queue area's matches the new Minnie Mouse meet and greet studio in Tokyo with a more art deco vibe and the style and details seem to be more in line with what OLC would pay for. Disney might have thought well we are going to change Splash so we need a capacity ride to replace it, let's just build this at Toontown.

    Do you know what the "enhancements" are compared to the WDW version that Ken Potrock referenced in his interview? To my untrained eye the versions look basically identical.

    • @anthony_pictures

      My eyes must be untrained cause they look the same whats the difference with the 2 rides

    • @taraanddrewwinner7459
      @taraanddrewwinner7459 Před rokem +5

      Biggest changes are just the queue. As for the ride, some of the segue scenes are slightly longer (the extra "bridge" between the factory and the park) or slightly shorter (between the underwater part and the city) but the ride is essentially the same. The DL version has the riders go all the way around the Tornado which is different. The premis of going through the movie screen in the queue makes more sense in Orlando... In Orlando, the premise is that you are going to the Chinese Theater to watch the premier of this cartoon and get pulled into it. Here you are already in the cartoon world in Toontown, so the premise isn't as strong (IMHO).
