I met Shane in Steamboat. He was a nice guy. I recognized that nose of his and went up to him and shook his hand. He was super humble and super cool. Like one of your best friends.

He died ski-BASE jumping in 2009.

He couldn't get his skis to come off while wingsuiting so it put him into a spiral and he wasn't able to pull his parachute
