  • Changing the engine on the CF110. Describing a little bit how it wen't, did not capture all the details along the way but should give you a rough idea.
We went with the carb, making it a bit simpler to maintain. Could probably combine the 125 with some original 110 parts to keep the EFI. Maybe some other time, carb works fine for now.

I just picked up one of these little 125 cc engines fir my son's cf moto 110. Cool to see it fits! I was wondering if you tried to hook up the stock Fuel Injection? It looks like the same intake location etc. Not sure if the fuel delivery would be adequate for a 125 but the difference would be minimal I think. Maybe a CDI replacement 🤔

Hi Rod, nice to hear youre tackling this as well. I was thinking about keeping the EFI, there are 2 things to solve - there is no prepared place for temperature sensor on the new engine head and you would need to use the magnet and the stator from the original CF engine. Which I did not want to touch and l left it as is for backup. You would probably need to remap the fuel delivery for 125cc, would run too lean with 110cc map I suppose.

Also just a quick question, were you able to retain the oil cooler? I can't see it in the pictures.

No, oil cooler was removed, there are no oil line connections prepared on the 125cc engine. So far we have not noticed any overheating issues.
