Torx T20 screwdriver

Definitely difficult to access in the 2022 model 3. The clips in on the side footwell panel were pretty tight so broke a couple taking the panel off. The foot rest under the carpet also blocks the filter cover (mine didn't have the screw but had a clip on the bottom and this needs more space to remove) and stops the filters from coming out easily. A frustrating process but got there in the end.

Thanks man. Did this on my RHD model Y. What a pain!! Question... when you replace the cover is there supposed to be a little bit of play in it? I've screwed it all the way in and notice a tiny bit of play in the bottom connection. Maybe the after market filters are not as snug as the originals.
My cover also loose at the bottom, even before removing original filter.
