    I saw one Model 3 owner take the inside of the frunk out to show the a/c drain only drains out onto the floor of the frunk so water sits there and molds I guess. They suggested not use recycle air on a/c as much because that creates more condensation with it on.

    Good job. More detail than some other videos on model y air filter change. I didn't unplug speakers and light as there was enough slack in wiring. That's a definite possible area when a newbie could miss up. Took me 15 minutes to open up the innards. then I didn't know which area housed the filter until I saw your video. 2nd time took only 5 minutes to pop panels off

    Hi Chris, just changed filters out today following this video and it went great! Funnily enough, I had way more problems removing the push pins from under the dash than removing the side panel. Thanks again for the great video! Now my car is smelling fresh again! 👍🏾

    My car smell was soooo bad after 1.5 years. Old filter seem still new. I replace filter and did the foam thing. Foam is what get rid of smell. Took me 40 minutes. Didn’t have t20 used a small flathead and it works.

    Your videos are great. I subscribed. I changed my Model 3’s air filter once after 2 years and 15,000 miles. I found it to be a backbreaking and unpleasant task. Replacing the passenger side panel was the worst part. I know I lost or broke a couple of those plastic clips. This is the only part of the vehicle I think should have been designed better. Like Toyota as you said. Next time I will have Tesla perform this task despite the expected ridiculous cost.

    • @EverydayChris
      @EverydayChris  Před 2 lety +2

      Bruh. You call this backbreaking? Wait until you get a chance to change the 24 spark plugs on a V12 S class Mercedes. That experience will make you convert to another religion 😂

      @ATLBraves1992 Před 4 měsíci +1

      There is much worse things to do, but yeah, the part that pissed me off the most was the side panel with the plastic clips. I have removed plenty of GM/Ford and Cadillac panels and have never broken clips. In the Tesla? First time I broke a clip and the panel now has a slight gap in it now. Everything else wasn’t bad.

    Thanks, Chris. I took my iPad out to the car, and just followed step-by-step. After I got over the crunching noises of removing the big panel, I relaxed a bit. I, too, just left the panel under the glovebox connected. I had enough slack to move it to the side. Thanks for posting such a clear video. I know that next time I do it, I’ll be able to do it twice as fast.

    Hi Chris, great video. I watched a bunch of these and I think yours is the best! I ordered one filter from the Tesla online store without reading the note at the bottom of the description saying you need two of them. Well luckily there is a Tesla dealership 15 minutes from my home so I drove over there to pick up another one. Out of curiosity I asked them how much it would cost for them to replace them. They said $20 plus the cost of the filters! I'm thinking next time I will just let them do it for that price! Although they won't do the evaporator cleaning step!

    How do you like the aftermarket HEPA filter after one year of replacement?

      @@EverydayChris so just noticed i can’t charge while using AC,is that normal? Not sure if it has something to do with the foam cleaner I used,it was dripping a bit from underneath my Tesla,can’t recall if that was a defect before I installed the filters…connector connects,and shows the display of charging,but not adding battery life (while AC is on) works fine when I turn the AC off.

    • @EverydayChris
