Always nice to see you guys fall is coming and we both know that weather is far more conducive to sailing and over nighting if you don't have a generator to power AC.
Keep us posted I have a feeling that you might be boat shopping in the near future

    G'day
Being an full time liveaboard, I put up with the weather all the time. When you start going crusing, you have to include some bad weather as well otherwise you may never go on an trip.
    Gerard.

Use the big pump for a wash down . Mount it on a broom handle with a hook to hang from the gide line.

Hadn't thought of that... to the fresh water tank?

@@AdventuresInParadise that would work for a shower, or for salt water wash down the anchor decks sails or each other

Cant wait to see what you guys end up with. The market seems to be moving in your favor for Trawler shopping.

I noticed something about your sailing adventures. I can't recall a day where the winds were 15k to 20k sustained. Perfect wind for your vessel. Must be your area you live in.

In the summer, we average about 7 knots daily... with unpredictable scattered thunderstorms daily. In the first and last three months of the year, we have nicer temps, better weather and 10-12 knots. Heading into South Florida approaching the keys, the wind picks up quite a bit. So, it's a good thing we have a boat that sails nice in lower winds! If we were retired people we could pick a windy day.. but we're working folks, so we get what the weekend hands us.

Love the area, what is your draft? I have wintered, there in the past. I have a catalina 25, swing keel. Will be heading south soon :). Thanks for the videos

Catalina 25 is a great boat! We're 4'8" with a fin keel. We had a Catalina 22 before this but it wasn't good for out in the Gulf.

Amazing the shots you got of that old fishing boat from a mile away! What drone are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks, it’s an old DJi Spark.

@@AdventuresInParadisethank you for sharing. It's very nice video. I have a drone I bought like 3 years ago but have yet to fly it, lol. I found a good deal on Amazon before I came to the Philippines then got stuck here with covid so never had a chance to even try it out 🙄🤦‍♂️. Been here waiting on my wife's visa for the last year now.
Can't even remember the make and model anymore. It was the one with the zoom camera on it. I think it was a DJI Mavic Zoom or something like that. I bought it in December of 2019.

Hows much is insurance on a boat like that?

How long was the waiting list at the marina? We just moved to near there but unfortunately just right outside city limits in the unincorporated.

    • @AdventuresInParadise
      @AdventuresInParadise  Před 2 lety

That stinks because it's 50% off for residents. You might have more luck at Clearwater, by the library. The wait can be 2 years... maybe less, depending on the list. For 22 and under it can be less, for more than 34' it can be more.
