    I have only tried this idea for a couple of weeks but it has had huge benefits to both my technique and embouchure. Thanks so much for your ideas.

    Thanks, my pinky goes through the same thing as Alexa explained. Only a seasoned teacher can notice it like she did. I've watched a few videos from this channel, but this one made me hit the subscribe button. Hoping you have a portal where we can ask questions and get these masters' answers for students.     Thanks. I need better balance of my instrument. I find that balance is an ever changing factor.

    I have used this hand position for me and also my students. Just looking at the way your flute is pictured, I am assuming that you are talking about the “Rockstro” position which I believe has great benefits that you talk about to free up the fingers to move more efficiently and reduce pain in your body ( the neck especially)

    As long as you can press the keys and make it sound the way you want it, then however you have to hold it to make it work for the ergonomics of your body shouldn't matter.
