How to catch ALL HUGE FISHES in Cat Goes Fishing! (Ancient Ancestors UPDATE 2023)

I reused footage from my old video for first 12 fishes because some of them are too much pain too get. (I'm looking at you Dragon and Magnalav) But nothing really changed since last update except that with new boat it's easier to catch some fishes.

Explanation of what im doing:
0:00 Shark
To catch shark you need huge hook and you need alive bait (medium fish) Shark swims around the spawn.
1:52 Tiger Shark
To catch tiger shark you have to buy huge hook and you need large bait. He swims between shark and coral reef.
2:46 Swordfish
Swordfish swims around bottom of the sonar also around Tiger Shark, to catch him you need small bait and you have to catch pufferfish and then hook on swordfish nose.
4:21 Noctis
Noctis only appears at night, to catch him you need large bait and huge hook, he swims around the entire map, so the best strategy to catch him is to just wait for him to be near your boat, and quickly catch him.
5:06 Moga
Moga will follow your boat from Tiger Shark area up to Coral Reef. He is scared of light so you can't buy flashlight (If you want instantly to turn off flashlight then just restart game) Using sonar can make finding him easier, although you can just throw your rod under the boat and probably he will hook himself. In order to catch him you need to listen to your rod, if the sound is high pitched then stop for a second. The closer youre to the surface the more agressive he gets.
6:47 Cave Shark
These rod upgrades are highly recommended: Detonator, Bomb Stack, Scouting and Sinker. At the beginning i cleared out area with bombs (it's not necessary but i did it so some random fish wont interrupt). You have to buy Huge Hook and 5 bombs. I recommend going by the path i showed in video and head towards some medium/large fish so when you hook bombat, something will immediately bite him so he won't explode. There is also other strategy, you can just take pearl/rock and bombat won't explode neither. Both strategys are pretty easy so you can choose wich one you wanna use. And then go to the Cave Shark cavern and whenever you're close to rocks then bomb him, that will stun him for few seconds.
9:17 Maw
He swims everywhere where is bulbfish (around shark and tiger shark). You need to buy huge hook. When maw is eating bulbfish then try to take it out of his mouth and when hes not eating catch bulbfish and lure him. Maw is really strong so you have to lure him right below your boat.
10:11 Hamahed
He is behind coral reef. To catch him you need huge hook. He basicly works the same like tiger shark, but hes just stronger.
11:38 Abyssal
Abyssal is right at the end of the map, if you have tech boat, buying rocket isn't necessary. To catch him you need to buy Mega Hook.
13:23 Dragon
He swims around the sell island. You have to turn off sonar, or dragon will escape from you. Flick rod upgrade makes it a lot easier because with CTRL you can move rod towards mouse, it helps a lot since dragon is faster than your rod. You need to get his attention, and then follow the path i showed in video, be careful because if dragon hits rocks he will immediately lose attention and escape. You need dragon to scare Mamo, and then steal her egg. Then you can catch dragon, its highly recommended to catch him under the boat because he is really strong. (Altough if you hook him earlier you still can catch him, like me in the video, but its much harder.)
16:01 Magnalav
So for Magnalav there are 3 ways to catch him. But there are few things for every method that are the same. You can't have sinker, you can't use your rod or flick when you're near him. You need large bait and mega hook for him.
First way wich is in my opinion the easiest is to wait afk 10-15 minutes at shore and he will appear. Then you unequip your boat and buy 5 bombs and cast your rod into the water. Bombs are needed because there are so many fishes that will probably eat your bait. In his description before catching it says he's attracted to bombs, and while it doesn't scare him away, it seems he doesn't go faster if you use bombs. But be careful because you can still kill him with bombs. Once your rod stops, just wait for him as he will approach your rod slowly. When you hook him it should be downhill from now.
Second method is the one I used in my video. You have to wait ~5 minutes around the sell island. Then you will see him on sonar, but you can't throw your rod because he will immediately escape. You need to slowly move to the shore like me in this video, because if you move too quickly he will escape. I cut most of it from video because it took me 10 minutes to lure him although in new update he got nerfed and it will take only ~4 minutes. When you're at the shore you need to unequip your boat. And now it's like first method, so you buy 5 bombs and throw your rod. You bomb some unwanted fish, and just wait for him as he slowly approaches your bait. When you hook him it should be downhill from now.
Third method I don't recommend anyone to use but I thought it's worth at least mentioning it exists. So first you need to set your date computer before 2019 (when the update that originally added him was realesed) and be around sell island. In this method you're allowed to stay in your boat but can't move it. Once you launch game he will instantly swim to your boat, and when he's close he will slowly start approaching your boat. Although because he swims so slowly you will need repel upgrade for bloopers and old cuspers. (If you don't now how this upgrade works, you basicly first have to catch blooper/old cusper and when he's on your rod buy this upgrade, so this fish won't eat your bait.) Bait guard upgrade is also a must because there are lots of small fishes in that area that will eat your bait. Still you need to be pretty lucky because Magnalav is so slow that even great cusper may appear and eat your bait. And some other fishes like piercer ate my bait multiple times while trying this way. This method is the hardest and I think it's a bug and I'm not sure if it's even possible to catch Magnalav with this method. I saw some people mention this method but never seen anyone succeed with it, because in my case Magnalav would bug out and just not eat bait. If you manage to execute this method, write below in comments.
22:51 Shaku
He is really unique because he only appears on the first and third Saturday of all non-December months, April 29-30, May 1-6, August 9, December 25, and December 20-31 only during hour numbers divisible by 4. (im not sure if it's true because I copied it from wiki lol) But fortunately changing your date in computer works. You want to go right at the end of the sell island and buy mega hook, you will also need large bait. You have to also leave your boat with Q and with CTRL hold him. Then when he blinks with his real eye, he will hook on your rod. If he is already on your rod then you can release CTRL and your cat will return to your boat. It's up to you how you want to do it.
24:14 Maskfish
You want to be right above the silo. You need large bait and Mega Hook. You can't buy flashlight. Before throwing your rod you want to turn off your UI with SHIFT. When you see this white glowing fish called Tim, just wait with your bait around it and you will eventualy hook him. Tim after swimming small distance will respawn (you even see it in my video) and there's small chance he will turn into maskfish. When you hook him your sonar will appear.
26:05 Dunkan
He is a little bit behind the silo and fossil area. To catch him you need to bomb him 5 times and then he will swim away more to the right. Then you need large bait, mega hook and another 5 bombs. Bomb him again and then you will be able to catch him. I'm not sure but 8 bombs should be enough but it's always better to buy more just in case some other fish detonates your bomb.
28:40 Great Cusper
If you wait with your rod in water for few minutes between silo and new cave area old cuspers will appear, and if you wait a little bit longer great cusper will appear. You need huge hook to catch him.
29:28 Problematicus
For this fish you need dig hat. This hat is hidden in dig cave wich is locked behind 3 sets of cracked rocks. You can only break them if you lure buffalofish to it and bomb him, he will then go crazy and break rocks. Alternatively you can get dig hat with scouting as well. If you put on dig hat you will immediately have worm, but if you lose it, you can get it by throwing your rod behind your back at shore. With dig hat you have worm on your hook and now can catch Problematicus. He usually is behind barrier so I recommend using rocket and flick upgrade. He is pretty strong but interestingly he will not try to lure your line to rocks and break it. After some time he will give up and you will be able to catch him.
Few other pro tips:
Recommended rod upgrades for most huge fishes are: Sinker, Detonator, Bomb Stack, Bait Guard, Flick and 3 Gauges/Improved Cranks.
Some large and huge fishes (swordfish, moga, abyssal etc.) have really long respawn time, so if you want them to respawn immediately then change your date on computer to 1 week later.
If you dont want some small fishes to interrupt you then you can get large bait and with bait guard, none of the small fishes will eat it.
Battery Pack hat is really good since it increases your flashlight time to 40 minutes, if you buy flashlight with this hat you can then sell it and buy other hat.

Fun fact: the problematicus is based off of the largest fish ever which is now extinct, the leedsicthys. Its scientific name is leedsicthys problematicus, hence the name, problematicus. It grew to be about 70 feet long i believe. The dunkan is also based off of an extinct fish called dunkleosteous. It had armor like dunkan and grew to be about 30 feet long.
Candlecanth is also inspired by real fish coelacanth wich was thought to be extinct but later was found to be still alive

I remember playing this game on my phone with my former friend some years ago... It's such a nostalgia. I remember that the mobile version didn't have all these coral reefs, caves and so much fish types, they didn't have boat and cat being able to swim either.... I was quite surprised when I found out that there is SO MUCH missed content. I remember being nuts when I reached the deep dark place where you need the light bulb and where there are these cool small yellow and cyan big glowing fish, I was so happy and thought I was so cool. It's a pure satisfactory, honestly. Thank you for your video and long explanations for how to get each fish, really brought some old memories, plus very useful. Great job! ❤❤🦈
Yeah i remember it too, for some reason you cant play it anymore on mobile, maybe its because newer updates would be hard to port, but they could leave at least old version

I don't really remember the year when I played it, but yeah, I believe that maybe mobile phones back then couldn't handle a too big game like this? Like, there's so much techniques, fish, upgrades... The developer probably didn't want so much probs with the game adaptation and maybe deleted the older version because they didn't have any profit? Anyway, I believe if you make some research, there are some sites from which you can download it and play it again. 😁🐳

Ej mam pytanko, czy ten maskfish to jakiś rzadki? czy trzeba w plikach gry kody pozamieniać/betę zainstalować? bo próbuje jakoś tak od 2 godzinek i nic, a wyłączyłem menu oraz nie mam latarki. Jakiś pomysł dlaczego?
Nie byłem sam tego pewien ponieważ złowiłem go za pierwszą próbą, więc zacząłem śledztwo. Otóż Timy (ta biała świecąca ryba) po przepłynięciu małego dystansu się respawnują (widać to nawet na filmie) i gdy nie masz latarki i masz wyłączone UI to jest szansa że on się zmieni w Maskfisha. Nie jest to potwierdzone ale na wiki pisze że to 10% szans.

@@tadeuszmazur4383 nie trzeba wychodzić, bo te ryby sie będą ciągle respawnować aż się któraś zmieni w maskfisha, jedynie jak już któraś się zmieni w maskfisha to nie może się chyba zmienić kolejny raz, więc chyba wtedy trzeba zmienić date, też z moich testów wynikło że jak się włączy ui to można przez ułamek sekundy maskfisha zobaczyć na sonarze po czym zniknie

idk bro, i would have to make new save since rocks in caves are permamently broken, but once you enter the new cave lure buffalofish to the cracked rocks and bomb him so he breaks them, after 3 sets of rocks is the last cave and theres dig hat

@@theyellowcarp i believe that doing it in one video is better, because many people want to see how to catch new fishes, or even new players want to see how to catch all huge ones and they prefer to watch it in one complete tutorial, than many scattered around on youtube (especially when searching playlists dont work for some reason for few years now), also i think many people dont even play game anymore, and they just wanted to see the new things, and how it progressed from the old times, also some new players may see this video in their recommendations, and watch it because it has, intriguing title and thumbnail, but i think the main factor that i got more views, is because i did it really quickly after release of the update, and i was simply quicker than anyone else

it should be in caves before silo, find one half and wait until it connects to the other one, if you have quest for him the hat that makes quest fishes red on sonar can help finding him

The magnalav was INSANELY SIMPLE I JUST REPELLED BLOOPER AND OLD CUSPER THEN DİD THE İNTENDED METHOD AND THERE
