Thanks a lot dude! The answer to that is usually anywhere from 2 to 5 times in a row before I get it good enough. Lotta studying before I even sit behind the kit - once I have a good handle on it I play it for a half-hour and choose the best one.

I used to play this in my covers band back in the 90's...... but this guy has nailed it - not just the iconic fills, but also the way Dave starts fills a bit earlier than you'd usually expect.

The first video I've seen which allows you to hear and see what Dave is capable of when Jeff solos....the fills behind the solo are just fucking unbelievable - and you, good sir, have nailed them! This brings great joy to my heart......the greatest metal song ever written, on the greatest metal album ever conceived.....a worthy song to cover, if you have the skill, which this guy certainly has....

@@THEDC777 I've said it to someone else on CZcams...I think part of the reason why Dave can play things no one else would even dream of trying is because of his Cuban heritage. The complex polyrhythms of Afro Cuban ritual drum music are similar in some respects. Perhaps it is in Dave's blood, like a collective unconscious thing?
This song was one of the songs that got me back into metal. This is one solid cover. I was expecting your arm to cramp up but you sure as hell got the skills.

I have jammed this album and south of heaven since day one. I never get tired of it and I've not even moved on to any other slayer albums I've heard a few other new slayer songs but I'm stuck with good cause on these two.
