Bad choice. you would get a lot of more bang for the bucks with Gripen. More uptime and way less maintenaince costs. Rafale may be the better fighter (but i'm skeptical). It all comes down to how many birds you kan field at the same time.

Quand aux quelques autres qui se la pètent et qui profitent du système ils sont peu et insignifiant dans les coûts globaux. Et s'ils ne se la pétaient pas, et bien ... ce rafale n'aurait jamais vu le jour. Il faut des ambitions démesurées pour aller au bout d'un tel projet et un certain culot, et aussi supporter les rabajoies et les critiques à deux balles. Et il vaut mieux s'inquiéter pour eux, le jour où il n'y en aura plus, les autres seront tout juste bon pour bouffer quelques restes dans la gamelle, si il en a encore...
Simply amazing! The Rafale is an outstanding aircraft and when coupled with an outstanding pilot, you get an incredible demonstration like this one! I always liked the F-22 Raptor, but after watching this video the Rafael has sure gained my respect as the most maneuverable aircraft. That was the best flying acrobatics I’ve ever seen!
@@bobbyraejohnson no need to insist on it ! You'r way off with that. Both are nice fighters, but they do not compare exactly, not the sames goals, not the same plane. F22 far not dominant.
If you're talking about high manuverability and acrobatics, they stand no chance against the Russian fighters. But the technical advantages go to the Rafaels and other western jets.

Remember the Luftwaffe Eurofighter pilot writing on his social media "Today we had Raptor salad for lunch"? That one did hurt a lot, i remember :)
Plane brought to maximum performance for several minutes. Incredible what such an aircraft can do, not to mention the physical endurance of this pilot after several maneuvers at the limit
Have to say the Rafale really is a beautiful plane. As a layman, I think I can understand why the French pulled out of the Eurofighter project - they ended up with a dual capable plane that could also operate from France's aircraft carrier and the UK ended up with the Eurofighter and the F-35 to do the same jobs. Be interesting to compare overall costs for the one plane vs the 2....

Victor Manuel Polanco I don’t agree with you. Russian jets are the kings of airshow. I’m not bias F15c and Rafale are my fav jets. But there is something to SU-35 doing flips in the air that no other jet can do.

I also think Sukhoi jets are stunning pieces of flying engineering but as I said in my comment above Rafale is for me the best all- rounder!!!. Among the many things I love to watch in a jet flying display nowadays Rafale' s has got a fair number of them. Rafale' s display is relentless, powerful, twisting and turning to the limit and so freaking full of g' s. I love to watch g' s being pulled, the more the better. Rafale' s with Babouc at the controls is one of my top three choices together with Finnish Air Force Hornet Solo display and Swiss Hornet Solo display. I've only watched the Ukraine Su-35 display last season and while the jet is a freaking beast with stunning flying characteristics the display I've watched it in wasn't that good. Not a bad display but far from an eye- catching one. Thanks for your inputs to my comment. It was great to hear your feedback.

The Rafale is one of the best fighters around in close dogfighting. The delta wing allows it to do some crazy moves at slow speed. In my opinion its better than the Eurofighter.
@@MegaFarkh but there aren't close dogfights that much today, and the rafale has better electronic warfare systems (SPECTRA/AESA). Once again, in close dogfight it's up to who's flying.

In the air "big is bad, small is good". because a big and heavy aircraft consumes more fuel and needs more time to turn so his circles are bigger, he needs more time to turn around

The fastest is the MIG-31 (if you ignore the sr71) and speed doesn't make much difference today 2:rafale has better avionics, it has the SPECTRA system and the AESA Radar 3:the Rafale if probably more agile than the f15 4: no f15 losses? you might wanna check this en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_F-15_losses 5: F15 is an INTERCEPTOR, the Rafale is a multirole fighter.

The French pilots are the best in the world by far. I've worked alongside many in Africa when they did overwatch for us when they flew the Mirage and jaguar. Le Meilleur sans doute..

C'est vrai et les designers qui le décorent de temps en temps font souvent un bon boulot mais je trouve que même nature il est au dessus du panier en terme d'esthétique.
Je suis pas chauvin et encore bien moins pro armée, mais je suis très impressionné par la merveille de technologie qu'est le Rafale. Ce qui me touche c'est la symbiose qui se manifeste entre le pilote et l'aéronef grâce à cette extrême agilité de l'appareil. On sent que le pilote est en totale confiance (ou complètement fou) et qu'il s'éclate à le piloter, sa motivation ne peut pas être uniquement guerrière pour arriver à un tel niveau d'excellence.
Adrien. Pas besoin d'être pro-armée pour apprécier la démo du Rafale ! Je ne crois pas qu'un pilote militaire soit un "obsédé" de la guerre. Je crois surtout que ce pilote a exploité au maximum les qualités du rafale tout en restant dans le domaine de sécurité que lui imposent les organisateurs. Je doute qu'il ait eu le temps de penser un seul instant qu'il était aux commandes d'un avion de guerre. Il vient de piloter un Rafale, "tout simplement"

Victor Manuel Polanco I don’t agree with you. Russian jets are the kings of airshow. I’m not bias F15c and Rafale are my fav jets. But there is something to SU-35 doing flips in the air that no other jet can do.

Among the many things I love to watch in a jet flying display nowadays Rafale' s has got a fair number of them. Rafale' s display is relentless, powerful, twisting and turning to the limit and so freaking full of g' s. I love to watch g' s being pulled, the more the better.
Rafale' s with Babouc at the controls is one of my top three choices together with Finnish Air Force Hornet Solo display and Swiss Hornet Solo display.
I've only watched the Ukraine Su-35 display last season and while the jet is a freaking beast with stunning flying characteristics the display I've watched it in wasn't that good. Not a bad display but far from an eye- catching one.

The Rafale is one of the best fighters around in close dogfighting. The delta wing allows it to do some crazy moves at slow speed. In my opinion its better than the Eurofighter.
The same with Mirage 2000-5 before 20 years

Je suis pas chauvin et encore bien moins pro armée, mais je suis très impressionné par la merveille de technologie qu'est le Rafale. Ce qui me touche c'est la symbiose qui se manifeste entre le pilote et l'aéronef grâce à cette extrême agilité de l'appareil. On sent que le pilote est en totale confiance (ou complètement fou) et qu'il s'éclate à le piloter, sa motivation ne peut pas être uniquement guerrière pour arriver à un tel niveau d'excellence.

Adrien. Pas besoin d'être pro-armée pour apprécier la démo du Rafale ! Je ne crois pas qu'un pilote militaire soit un "obsédé" de la guerre. Je crois surtout que ce pilote a exploité au maximum les qualités du rafale tout en restant dans le domaine de sécurité que lui imposent les organisateurs. Je doute qu'il ait eu le temps de penser un seul instant qu'il était aux commandes d'un avion de guerre. Il vient de piloter un Rafale, "tout simplement"
