- Enjoying some snow in May and possibly the last of winter high in Scotland's Mountains . There is nothing unusual about snow in May , especially in Scotland's Mountains so we headed out after a cold spell to enjoy the last signs of winter on one of Scotlands highest mountains....

That first view of Stob Binnein when descending Ben More looked just incredible.
Regardless of the weather conditions Ben Moor is one heck of a slog right from the road side but the views are wonderful.
Never cast a cloot till May's oot! ❄️❄️
Did the pair years ago in crisp snow. Crampons on from the car. Clear blue skys and a blue tint on the snow. Magnificent! Thx guys for the memories.
They are a fine brace of hills for sure :) always better with blue skies above :)
Thanks for watching

Cheers to you and gerry again ,summers day on the bottom and winter on the top, amazing
The steep hike up has alway put me off doing this, maybe one day but not during winter.
Cheers Murray. Vista and snow conditions looked perfect on way down 👌 Eyes drawn to Cruach Ardrain and Beinn Tulaichean in particular. They look dwarfed by the perspective and prominence of the Ben More massif!
We just arrived back from Torridon last night and couldn't believe it when we arrived last week to still see snow on the munro's of Liathach and Beinn Eighe. We attempted Liathach but decided the conditions didn't suit us and we descended at 900m, we'll just have to return in a few weeks when the weather conditions are more favourable for us. Lovely video as always.
Brilliant.
Another fantastic trip, superb views but not the last of the snow 😉
Wow, Murray, what an absolute belter 😮😎👍. Some stunning images, again 😎. Love it. ATB Dave
Thanks Dave - looks like you have been getting out and about too - great to be getting back out :)

Looks absolutely gorgeous!
Nice one Murray, great video as always. I had a really snowy day out on Beinn Teallach and Beinn a'Chaorainn on Friday past. Incredible snow for May 😁.
Gorgeous shots of Stob Binnein. It's such a beautiful, yet under-rated mountain, due to being just very slightly overshadowed by Ben More.
Great views. I am back in scotland from last saturday. Did already 4 Munros. Snow bit like that I had only sunday at Ben Klibreck. Now its all melted down.
hopefully spring and summer will appear at some point soon ! lol

Good Afternoon from New Zealand Great Snow in May Video, thanks for sharing, have a great rest of your week
Lifts the spirits. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing this footage.
Becoming a big fan of this channel. Giving me a Scottish Highlands fix when down in Yorkshire. Conditions and views there looked incredible. Fond memories of staying at Crainlarich Youth Hostel in 2013.
An excellent video Murray, great cinematography giving a real feel of the atmosphere on the 'Big Hill' and its good to see a man who is not afraid to coordinate his Jacket and Rucksack. atb. Mark&Louise
Snow makes me happy !
Me too :) not sure there will be much more in any great amounts now though until later in the year - but you never know :)

Great video Murray. Loved it. Would love to get a walk in snow like that in the hills. That's where experience comes in 👍. Really enjoyed watching. Atb Steve 👍
Amazing views and filming 👍.
Done this 2 weeks ago... had to slide down the top of stob binnein as it was so icy it was a good laugh but slightly dodgy 😂
Those tremendous views up there is an absolute blessing to see! Cheers for sharing this with us, Murray! Makes me want to go on winter hiking lessons. 🙈 Take care always, Mari

I wish we had snow and ice in the North West... but I have to travel to Wales or Scotland and from Manchester Scotland is a good 5hrs drive to Fort William and Isle of Skye at least 7hrs ... your so lucky to have snow in the mountains, I'd be in my element for sure, hoping to plan a trip to do the Cuillin Ridge in the summer and hopefully do this in Jan and Feb next year 👍🙂
hope you get good weather when you get back up here :)

So hard to believe the difference in the conditions.
Absolutely fantastic... Love your over commentaries too... Wondered did you or do you ever use binoculars on your hikes Murray ? Cud be good to soak in more views on a long wild camp day ...
Hi Merky, thanks for the message. I don’t tend to take them (mainly due to weight ) but am thinking of having them in the campervan for use when I get it back out and about )👍👍

Another good steaming boots video.
Glad you’re back on CZcams. It’s probably the closest I’ll get to Scotland for a while.
Ps liking all the new clothing. Mammut by any chance with all that blue & orange?
Yeah- new mamut mid layer and Keela coat 👍👍
Time constraints my backside, you’re just lazy! 😁😁
I’m writing this having just consumed a full English which I believe I’ve earned due to my sleeping marathon of 10 hours. Fantastic adventure a always. Thanks for showing us what lazy people like myself are missing out on.
Top drawer as always.
Quick question... how come Jerry never seems out of breath like you? 😂😂
Take care xx
Gary ! How are you sir ?
Gerry carries bottled oxygen up with him 😉🤣👍
Catch up soon mate
M👍👍
@@ScotlandsMountains 😁 looking forward to it xx
😂😂😂
You can bring and carry the bottled oxygen for me Gary 🤣
I enjoy the “color commentary” from your mate...(I’m not sure if he’s Gerry or Jerry, or some other version of the name, as I don’t trust the closed captions to be correct!) ATB
Gerry! BW
Gerry always brightens up the trip - great to be able to get back out together :)
