Shocking welding bud after all that hard work should of got a welder in to do it for you but still interesting to watch
Not the best welding but haven’t had any issues with it, burnouts, clutch kicks and it hasn’t broke so I think it’s ok
Good to see you fixed it properly
Very informative video, I’ve got my tuner installing mine for me but was nice to see and get some info on the product. Keep it up mate!
Nice, I thought there had to be a better way than the factory system to support the diff head, great vid
Holy shit who did those welds on the setup you removed? A blind person? haha
The welds were only there to keep it together so I could get it home as it broke when I was in Hobart and had to travel back to north west Tasmania
And it was done by a stick welder as that the only thing the bloke that helped me out had.
Nice job champ.👍👍
Cheers
great video mate, thank you!
but i gotta say the your vocals are a bit quiet and then the music is so loud. bit annoying toggling that volume up and down constantly. just a friendly observation.
thanks again!
what kind of weddings is it ??
Done by gas mig welder
That's such a smart idea for a solution on such a shit diff bush design. (I'm a ford guy but I gotta call it out on my two falcons).
Did this elieviate the harsh knock in the back that facons get if on kick down when you plant it?
So good though. Don't think my welds would be any better 😅
Roughly how much would it cost for me to get this done to my fg xr6?
The kit costs $1200, not sure how much a shop would charge to do it but I did it myself
Hey mate great video btw, how does it feel with the twin bush setup ??
Thanks mate, feels the same as when it had a factory mount. Hasn’t moved or anything atm and I’ve been driving it abit harder
@@AlexsAutomotiveAdventures nice man, was it a day job ??
Could be done in a day, took me two days as had to work in between
@@AlexsAutomotiveAdventures yeah fair enough, want to give this an attempt on an Saturday when i have the hoist to myself. seems pretty straight forward
Yea it is, the most difficult bit for us to putting new bushes in the front of cradle, we made a tool to push them in as we didn’t have one
How much to do this please.
The diff bushes for 08 FG
Kit was $1200 at the time and I did it in my spare time. Plus new diff oil and that
how do you get the springs out? good video dude!
The coil springs fall out when you take arms apart to pull drive shafts out.
Hahaha, 6:45. Deffo don't want to set your hair on fire.
It got close sometimes haha. Got all my hair still tho
This vid was 8 months ago now. How's it all holding up?
Still holding strong,
Good to hear. Gives me confidence.
Very nice and simple kit to get all done. It took me 2 days to get it all done. Could have done it faster
how does the new diff hat and bushes feel? is it any more harsher, any clunks?
Feels good. Puts power to the ground better. No clunks
Lol
What’s lol for?
@@AlexsAutomotiveAdventures For the crap ass welding.
The shitty welding on the broken mount was only there so I could get car back home from
Hobart.
