I can't remember which commentator said it, but they said based on a statistic, about 8.9 of the shots made on Otter an average NHL goalie would not save.
In other words, roughly 9 near guaranteed goals from the Flames were saved due to absolutely stellar goaltending.
As a Flames fan, Otter is by far the best player in the series.
I'm on the East Coast - we knew the Falmes had won because we could hear their fans cheering from here XD

shrugged off the playoff nerves. the first game you can definitely see it as they were just moving the puck way too much and were skating so fast. they finally slowed the game down to how they play and it showed. GFG!!!!

That Mangiapane goal was a pure perfect snipe, a bardown laser! He's my favorite player on the team, even though I'm not a Flames fan.

I'm a Canucks fan, but cheering for the Canadian teams to have success this year. Tanev and Markstom are very fun to cheer for. I feel like Toronto has it in them to win their series as well. Not sure about the Oilers... their goalie has some nervous energy about him... but they've got a lot of firepower, so fingers crossed they find a way. Round two would be extra exciting if they did.
Canucks fan here as well, and I want all the Canadian teams to win as well! Both Toronto and Calgary up 3-2 in their respective series and Edmonton are down 2-3, but I'm sure they will bounce back in game #6!
When mangiapane scored that goal everyone in the city heard the cheering! (Even i lost my voice a bit) so glad to be a flames fan :)

For the 2 most pivotal games in the series the stars cannot put together 60 minutes. We have 3 even strength goals and 2 of them are by a 40yr old... oettinger is the ONLY reason we are in this and anyone whether you are for or against the stars can see that... and bones needs to go, hes a good player coach but he is no motivator or strategic genius, he just knows the game... AND Suter is garbage

We've done so much better not responding to all the post-whistle stuff and we're not taking countless penalties.
Stay out of the box and make the goalie move. Get bodies in front. If we do that we should win game 6

Looking at shots + chances for Cgy over Stars every game at 5-on-5, it is dramatic to note Dallas has a 5 to 1 edge in 3rd period powerplays & last powerplay of 4 of the 5 games. Considering Calgary has caried the 5-on-5 this entire series, is younger & faster then Dallas & is dramatically better in 3rd, seems like blinders go up for Dallas & microscope comes out for Cgy once 3rd period. The single game Stars fans point to was only game Calgary got a call...& they still got 2 6-on-4 powerplays to try & make a blowout close.
If its not rigged to even series for less skilled Dallas (S US vs Canadian team) then should see calls even out (especially in 3rd) in game 6. If they makeno calls,favors Cgy too.
Otherwise league is tipping hand that this is blueprint on display of why Canadian teams struggle in playoffs & S US teams overperform in playoffs in Bettmans NHL.
