#RolandGarros #Djokovic #Musetti - Sport
Djokovic's mental strength is off the charts. Dude always cranks up another gear when his back is against the wall.
It is the adapted ketogenic diet with slow processing fructose instead of glucose. Since he doesn't run on fast acting carbs he basically just outlasts his opponents. After 3 sets usually the strength relationship is inverted. Musetti ran out of gas just like many opponents before. This is why he hates players like Medvedev who don't run out.
@@pureffmhe is not on a keto diet.
The guy has not won a tournament all year and has lost to a handful of forgettable players. Clearly "always" is an overstatement.
@@pureffmThat’s not true, Nadal wasn’t on the keto diet and was just as fit as Djokovic during their epic matches, Djokovic is just a different breed bro, no other way to put it, he’s superhuman.
@@pureffmHe has the opposite of a keto diet bruh
5 sets, +4hrs and a 3 minute highlight? ...
And they waste time with the walkouts 😂
They want you to buy packages, to pay the millionaire execs & top players.
😂😂😂
Absolutely disgusting. 0 respect for legendary players
Should've just 4 sets. He missed on 2nd set
Victory belongs to the most tenacious. And Djokovic is tenacity personified.
Great line! 👏
For the first time in a while I saw Djokovic with a fire I haven’t seen. That last set was a masterclass of returns and the celebrations showed he still has gas left in the tank.
He lost the Aus Open, then lost in Italy and Geneva. Think there was some talk that Sinner and Alcaraz had passed him...was wondering myself whether the flame was starting to dim. Sinner, Alcaraz, maybe Medvedev still loom but, like you said, the "pilot light," dormant for awhile, is getting brighter.
@@user-zz7nr9dt5x yeah tough to tell but this is a positive and I think he needed to win a hard fought match to really ignite that competitive spirit going into these next tough challenges
That was no fire, he wore down Musetti...
*Totally G.O.A.T. at 37 years old! 6-0 in the 5th set (alien stuff).*
This was a very tough and a great match, like Zverev VS Griekspoor.
I want to see Carlos or Sinner at Nole's age... Musetti is 22...
*Go, Djoker! LEGEND.* I hope he wins his 4th Roland-Garros title and the 25th Grand Slam. Simply the best tennis player ever.
Ruud ,Zverev ,sinner alcaraz will have more chances than him
@@Laland_1196
And Tsitsipas? He's another clay specialist.
Sinner /Alcaraz...one of them will win the French open...
@@Laland_1196
Remember that Zverev has won by very little in the last match against Tallon Griekspoor. For me Carlos and Sinner have a better chance than him and Ruud.
He will lose the next match. He's gassed out.
Crazy player. 1:45 A.M. , and he's trailing 2-1 , and still wins the round 6-3 6-0 . Fantastic mental fortitude
A 5 set match.... ending at 3:30am in Paris.... at 37 years old.... and he shuts him out in the fifth set.
Alien.
Musetti is a true gentleman.
When just after an extremely tiring game in the 5th set, the unsympathetic umpire called Djokovic on a time warning and canceled his first serve...Musetti said, No, let him make a first serve, both of us are tired from the last game.
The umpire didn't agree, but kudos to Musettis sportsmanship spirit, in spite of being behind in the match.
Yes but the constant coaching was v disturbing
@progtopaajbr2961 Perfectly legal and most players since the New Gen era get coached point by point. Irritating but legal.
Federer is the only one who, i guess, not only doesn't request coaching tips from his box, he doesn't even look the way of his box 😅
@@Zeus-ei1ikCarlos talk to Ferreto every point that annoying so much
@@Zeus-ei1ikBut he looks at the opponent's box and throws insults. Arrogant savage in silky white gloves.
Musetti a gentleman? He's the guy who fooled the umpire with a double bounce against Alcaraz last year. The guy is a cheater and he will do anything to win.
How do you squeeze a 5 set match into a 3 minute highlight and think, "Yea, we did a good job." Absolute 🧠💀
You could pay to watch the whole match? 💀💀

In the 5th set he found his killer form again. With that form he can beat everyone.

*2:28* The last shot was pure gold by Djoker in his killer returning style. Nole at his best, even at 37 years old.
It is ketogenic diet. YOu never run out of energy since you run on ketones instead of carbs. It is the secret to winning GS even when you are dominated in earlier sets. He won many 5 set matches against stronger players in GS thansk to ketogenic diet. Incredible!

Djokovic has played some iconic matches of history, but even so, this Musetti match would rank among the Top 10 of his best matches because:
- Firstly, the way Musetti was playing after the 2nd set, easily, top 5 level or better.
- The huge momentum shift in Musettis favor and Djokovic being gutted after botching chances to close out the tie-break.
- The time the match was played at
- The duration of the match
- Djokovic age factor and lack of match practice this year
reminds me of 2021, Musetti 2 set lead, Djokovic wins in 5 and then wins next day Berrettini, Nadal, Tsitsitpas all in a few day after. So i would say he needed that Musetti match in 2021 to wake him up.maybe again this year?
@@Alexander-dt2eq Hopefully so! He has a very tough path ahead to the title.

Only three minutes for this insane match is a crime
The highlight clips aren't created by tennis fans. These are pro editors with the quest and mission to limit them to a precise 3 minutes regardless of the length or excitement level of the match. The priority isn't to fully summarize or highlight the key moments in the match but rather it's to make sure they don't exceed their licensed contractural, commercial limit of 3 minutes. Don't want to give too much away for free on YT.

Just amazing. You can see it from all of the comments saying how they are so generous in their editing and length. A few seconds per set and sometimes just set-point is all anyone really needs to see :)
Even Chat GPT4o couldn't say it better
Only here to watch Djoko. No matter what curveballs these organizers throw at him, he persists. He is above all the pettiness. Truly the best. Truly a beast. He defies expectations.

That was an unreal comeback. I thought he was screwed after that shocking 3rd set slump following the 2nd set missed opportunity disappointment. He's not done yet. Let's see how far he can go now!
Enjoy the tournament Nolan...you are already Legend...G.O.A.T...!
Finally the beast mode on in 2024
Novak Djokovics' greatest strength is NOT his mental strength as a lot of people think, and even experts and pundits seem to agree.
There are innumerable players who will fight tooth and nail until the last ball. Novaks greatest strength is his clarity of thought in the most stressful and pressure filled situation.
You can blindly keep fighting and putting the balls back and keep losing. Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, is the games greatest ever problem solver.
Even in the most stressful situations and when the opponent has the upper hand, Djokovic keeps probing for weaknesses or cracks in the opponents game, and when he finally finds one, he goes in for the kill.
Rafa is like a raging bull. He keeps coming at you till the last ball. He is the games greatest fighter!
Novak, on the other hand, waits in the shadows, like a preying wolf. He tests you, probes you, waits for the cracks to appear, and then you lose to him.
Exactly!
It's not only about mental strength but also the clarity of thought. The former, most Top Pro's have. The latter is a very, very rare quality especially when the chips are down.
Nice analogy.
what about federer?
The FO schedule is so messed up that the GOAT had to start around 11 PM and play until past 3 AM. smh
this man is a sane man or a super hero. how can he find that style of playing in the 5 set? sure he is the best of all time.
Wtf Roland garros The GOAT play 5set after midnight and you have only 3 minutes highlights what a shame
The schedule is totally a joke, and they have to play until 3am ! seriously??? it just doesn't seem fair to both players..
Ridiculous
they get a whole day off after. there’s many other players in the tournament too including boys and girls singles and doubles draws have started up

Bad news for RG contenders. Djokovic is back. 🎉👍👏
What paid off for Novak in the last two sets (besides a way better stamina) was his unusual very aggressive tactics in the first two sets. Musetti was outstanding defensively, but he was forced to way too much running and he paid the price in the end

Musetti played as if he´s a champion, Djokovic played as the champion he is. That´s a small difference but a crucial one for Gran Slam matches. A stunning performance by both players!!!!

So often when down 2 sets to 1 or 0 he is able to start hitting the ball cleaner, harder, nearer the lines. Remarkable.
True, but I'd rather he not let himself get down to the back-against-the-wall situation before finding his form. Against the very top players, it's a very dangerous way to do it.
