70% of Russians own THESE (and I got to visit one)

- This past week was Victory Day here in Russia, where the entire country celebrates the victory of the Soviet Union over the German army in WW2. But this video isn't about that holiday, but about what I got invited to DO during it! I was invited by a friend I made here this last year to visit her Dacha, a heatless, AC-less second home with no electricity or running water that 70% of Russians have. In a country with a relatively low income level, how and why do the majority of Russians have these random second countryside homes? I went myself to check out in person just what the heck exactly is a Dacha? And why do they use them and love them so much?

What happened to the guy? Disappeared on everything
I wonder if it wasn't a great time to switch to Russian content. Also, not what subscribers are here for?
My man has disappeared!
hope you're doing well man
miss your japanese language related content bro
RIP :(
I wonder. He had a very serious heart problem
So... A cabin?
You're taking a long break here. (I suspect I know why) I hope everything is going well
Ох уж этот русский стиль деревень и дач. Обожаю свою страну)
Im over here actually thinking how badass this would be if it were modernized with new off grid tech. Imagine that.... Having a little cabin to just go off to when you need a bit of solitude and a break from the hustle and bustle. Just like that. ...Wow.
I went to a dacha about a week ago that was 3 stories tall with a basement, it’s own water collection system with gravity feed and well water, a giant two floor sauna, tons of turkeys and fruit/tea trees and was near a lake for fishing. It was one of the coolest things I’ve seen and I’m so jealous of it! They built it slowly over a lifetime to where it is now
I hated going to dacha when I was a kid 😂 Never could get the charm of doing gardening and stuff when you have a flat.
And nice to see someone interested both in Japanese and Russian culture! That's quite an unusual combination.
The outhouse is closer to the house than ours was to my grandma's farmhouse.
You had an outhouse M? :0 I never had one but I can say my worst experience using a toilet 100% was an out house here in Russia about 4 weeks ago lol
We have in Asia took me while get used to, my gran fell in hers while back.
I hope you guys enjoy this video of my first encounter with a real Dacha! I'll be doing another one before I travel back home to get more health checks handled and I'll have a one week break, so please stay tuned and check out my other recent videos if you enjoyed this one because I have a 3 part series on a return to Saint Petersburg this summer that I finished filming that's up and coming! :D
