We all miss the days of Survivor, Dave Bickler and Jimi Jamison, Jimmy peterik, and Frankie Sullivan was a darn good guitar 🎸 player, as well as He and Peterik wrote songs together. Why do we have to say goodbye to that life, because we get old and so do they. ❤ We had the best, I was born in 59. I began listening to Survivor at age 24... I have absolutely loved them ever since.... I'm now 63
There are very few people who could pull this off today. Without auto-tune software to cover up their inability to sing, most "singers" today would blow this and sound horrible. Peterik is one of the best songwriters EVER, and Jamison was the perfect voice to bring his songs to life. They were lucky to have found one another.
One of the best small rock vocalist ever in my honest opinion of any error of music. And simply one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Rest in peace Jimi. You were so sorely missed.

That was the true essence of Jimi, Kenneth, He simply was a humble man who loved everyone, most especially his true friends...he would never over power a friend just to show off or be better. I will love and miss this man forever ♥
Wow just wow I'm 50 and I'm so glad Jimi Jamison was part of my life since I was 15 his beautiful meaningful poetic music got me do damn great memories with friends and exes it's bitter sweat.
The weird thing is, I didn't have a *clue* what song they were doing first until Jimi started singing it. The second one, though, I knew right off the bat. Go figure... BTW, look at Jimi at around the 1:00 mark... like, really take a good long look at him and how totally into it he is getting. He enjoyed the hell out of singing/performing, even for "intimate" audiences, and it transferred right to his performances.
No doubt with it. He sings with all his heart and soul, enjoys himself in music.That's why his music touches many. "The music fills my heart. That's why I sing. "He had declared it and always did when he sang.
Pros.... incredible talents... I have to say that I forgot how talented these guys were. Jimi was left too soon. We need to spill the beans on how talented these musicians are still and not lost in the shuffle we are all going through here. Go watch Jamison at Fire Fest 2010/2011. Just incredible singer. Jim guitar is great and talented as well. Imagine getting a phone call from Rocky and asking for theme songs and then providing Eye of the Tiger and Burning Heart...Epic songs that worked fully
Sad that Jimi Jamison left the way he did. We have all done some things we all regret and have not or never surfaced. Either we left that past or Repented. I can personally admit that I was not perfect trying to work within the system in my 20's. Those were the days of hanging out and partying. I left those times and feel the path that I am on is the right path. IT saddens me to think that Jimi was hanging around good people left in a bad situation in his later years. Man oh man did Jimi have a great voice that I forgot about. I am going back and listening to old tracks he did and live concerts. Jimi Jameson is and was an amazing singer that was lost in all of the changes happening. I miss good rock and roll singing especially by male singers. I get that we need inclusive but come on folks. All inclusive versus the job?
