LOL you completely underestimate Silva. Jab and hold? Silva rarely gets hit flush. He understands distance too well and has great footwork, movement, parrying, angles, and rolling. Bisping dropped Silva in MMA, not boxing. Punches come a lot faster in MMA due to the much smaller/lighter gloves, not to mention having to worry about all the other weapons too (takedowns, elbows, kicks, knees, submission)

@@thecommenter9267 Respectfully that is wrong, boxing punches are far more sharper, quicker, harder and way less telegraphed on average. 10-8 ounces literally feel like weapons because in a way they are, they allow repetitive punches to be made with very minimal if any damage to the hands, whilst the opponents brain is quite literally being knocked around inside the skull. Boxing has way more deaths per year than MMA and this is an undeniable fact. ANYTHING to do with punches in either sport, boxing trumps, so him saying he got dropped by an MMA fighter CAN be a fair argument (although I do not agree with it) because boxing is literally centred around the perfection of your punches and defence.
@@mrhaz8939 From someone who has been in both sports for 30 years and now a Boxing coach for MMA fighters, you're not wrong about what you said, the Boxing glove is designed to protect the hand, not the Boxers face. Yes, Boxers are usually the crisper puncher, less telegraphed as well but Jake Paul isn't there yet and is pretty telegraphed still..
I would also add that blocking a punch coming from a boxing glove is much easier than from an MMA glove and of course easier because the boxing glove is bigger, just a whole lot more openings in MMA. Also, when you only have to worry about punches they are much easier to defend, especially when a fighter knows how to throw kicks behind his punches. These two will be Boxing of course, but Anderson just beat a then 53-5 Julio Ceasar Chavez jr. that is a far superior Boxer than JP. Unless JP has improved a whole lot since his last fight this should be a decision win for Silva.
@@andrewwood9067 You’re right with the blocking aspect, however another thing to consider is that the 4 ounce gloves the MMA guys usually use allow them to have way more freedom with their hands because of the fingers being exposed, but yes that does come at a cost when it comes to blocking shots. Also to add on with Julio, he’s awful these days and no better than your average boxer, yes it was a good experience win for Silva and on paper it looks great, but when you analyse the fight and some of Julio’s last performances and losses, you’d realise it isn’t too impressive.

@@hahalolol5964 Respectfully I disagree because if you look at jake and rahman's sparring match with each other, you could see that jake was having trouble trying to hit him. Not only that but rahman was also mixing jake up barely even trying while jake looked like he was trying way more than rahman and threw more punches, but didn't all land because of rahman's speed.

If you "claim" to be serious about pursuing a boxing career, fighting basketball players and old MMA fighters is not the way to go...
@DFOSTER He def does deserve some credit for even getting in there with them, Not sure who else Logan has fought besides Mayweather that could be considered the best in the world but He didn't get killed. But you have to remember this was an exhibition fight.. After the round when Floyd really was working Logan He reminded Mayweather between rounds that "this was just an exhibition fight" pretty much saying don't embarrass me. The video of this is still floating around on youtube if you wanna look into it. I think Jake could be a decent pro boxer, he has the drive and a ton of money to hire the best coaches in the sport, we will see

Jake is a different fighter by Rd 3. It is either mental or the way his gas tank is built. When he throws the right hand that is a powerful shot he pulls his hand in and down. Amateurs do that from instinct if you think Anderson has not seen that on tape your crazy. Watch Woodley two before he throws k.o. shot. Could he have unlearned it sure.
