In this North Wales travel vlog, we make our way to Lake Vyrnwy, enjoy a good look around, then head off towards Bala, where we take the beatiful steam train along the Bala Lake Railway line, along the adge of the lake.
In this beautiful day out in North Wales, we some some stunning scenery, have a picnic, ride on a steam train and finish off the day with a quick look around the Welsh town of Bala, before heading off home to finish the vlog as always with a bit of a chat and a pint.

Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. It's just a bit of fun, and great for our sanity. Your support is hugely appreciated x

Oh what a day in North Wales! The view is so stunning. I love the lake, the mountains and everything you showed my friend. You are very natural and I must say you are so good in your delivery. Oh wow. This was just wonderful. Still so sad to hear about you lovely folks getting ill, but thank you so much for this magical journey. The sweeping hills are gorgeous, and even that little water filtering tower was amazing. I'd only wished a few more of those charming little shops had been open... wouldn't have minded seeing the place a little more bustling. The Welsh lakes area looks really lovely and that dam wall is seriously impressive. Those Victorians could really build things in stone! I love the cute little train, it's nice way to see the countryside.
Thank you, and yes, the dam is pretty cool isn't it. we had never been there before, so it was really nice to see. You're right though, those Victorians didn't half know how to build incredible structures and buildings! The train was great too, we had been on it before, but wanted to get it on video. Ah, thanks for that, and thanks for joining us the other day on the premier, it was really fun!!! I wish there were photos of me as Miss Glanllyn, but that was way before the days of cameras being an every day item haha. I don't think we even had a camera in the house when I was that age...oh, hang on, I think we must have, as I believe there are some pics of me in fancy dress as The Hulk at about the age of 10 - I'll need to dig those out and get them in one of the videos haha. The straining tower is very cool looking and the train was really fun, we've actually been on it before but wanted to get it on video. I know Rach commented last night, but we really loved your shooting rifles when sloshed (not sloshed but after a load of raki anyway) video last night haha...I was convinced there was going to be some messy accident with the bloke by the balloons!! Hey both, thank you for your kind words. We've got tonnes of lakes here haha. The train was fun, we've done it before, but wanted to show it on video. I probably did look like Boy George to be honest. I remember the first time Boy George appeared on TV here in the UK, it caused quite a stir at the time, no one knew if he was male or female haha, I actually really like a bit of Culture Club though. No Sir Topham Hatt, although I feel a bit like the Fat Controller after the lunch Rach has just made...mmmm. Nope didn't see Ringo either haha, but I don't know if you've seen our Liverpool vlog from way back, probably vlog number 4 or something like that, but I tell a few Beatles related stories - and did you know, my granddad (mum's dad), who unfortunately died before I was born, but he used to run a driving school in Liverpool and he actually taught Ringo to drive. Also, my mum's gran's butcher boy was George Harrison and her window cleaner was John Lennon. Cool eh??!! Rach is out of isolation now, and I'm feeling much better, but still testing positive. I'm sure I'll be allowed out in the next few days. Hope you're both well, and don't go cutting down those cacti!!! Thanks again for watching and for your kind words!! Cheers

Ah loved this video guys! We love Bala Lake, not been there for a few years but remember it being really beautiful! That road sounded scary!😱, good idea to take the long way back! The weather you got for February was amazing!😎. The Dam was so impressive! We didn't even realise that was there! So sad they moved the whole village😔. Bloody scousers!🤣🤣. Our favourite was definitely the steam railway, reminded us of lots of lovely days out we have had on Lal Ratty steam railway in the lakes🥰🚂. Those guys were so funny! Shame you couldn't have nabbed some copies of their photos to put in your video!😆. Really hope you can both get back out again soon and enjoy this spring weather. It really is a lovely part of the world. Thanks for sharing. Now I have no need to visit😁 The baby sheeps reminded me that our daughter used to say something like that when she was a toddler... "Baby sheep is lamb". She's always loved lamb... and steak... and pork 😂 There's a town here in Oz, Tallangatta, that was inundated by a dam in the 1950s. Old Tallangatta that is. New Tallangatta was moved up stream somewhere. The dam ain't as pretty as your dam though. It is a might fine dam you have there. We went there a month or so ago and shot a video which will be out some time in 2023 or 2024 if we're all still here. 😁

Hope you are both feeling much better now and are free of isolation. I was looking at your video and could not understand why it was so different to my visits here. Then realised it was the sun. I have only ever been here in the rain. i know what you mean about some of the exciting small roads hereabouts. They are really fun. One thing that has come out of this movie is the inclination to stick to bottled water in Liverpool. I have an image that might be hard to shake when turning on the taps on Merseyside. We really did hit lucky with the weather, it was such a nice day. I know what you mean about the water in Liverpool, there were actually a ew Welsh towns back in the day that were flooded for Liverpool's water, we might do a bit more of a vlog on them all one day.
