Wills spent lots of time in Barmouth as a child and while growing up and absolutely loves the place.
In this Barmouth vlog, Rachel finds out if Barmouth really is a holiday destination. Join us on this vlog and decide for yourself.
Barmouth is full of rich history, is packed with many independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as boasting one of the most beautiful beaches in Wales.
In this vlog, we give you a complete tour of Barmouth town. We walk along the streets, get some food, go on a boat trip, ride the waltzers at the fair, obviously head down to the beach and much more. As usually with Postcard and a Pint, we finish the day with a well deserved pint.

Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint CZcams channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. It's just a bit of fun, and great for our sanity. Your support is hugely appreciated x

Love the views and the stone cottages. Don't worry Wills, I have had a drone for a little while and still learning some of the tricks. Once you master it, you will have some fun. As lambs they are cute Rachel as adults, I am not too sure. 🐑 Barmouth is certainly a cracker. Beautiful beach. I love the architecture. You gotta love a market! Ah thanks so much Jo. It’s a great little place. It does get quite busy in the summer, but thankfully the campsites are out of town, so there’s plenty of beach to go around! Wills spent all yesterday learning about drone settings, I think he’s going to be pretty good with practise. I’m at least confident he can take off and land it now (and even capture stuff!! 🤣). Aww! Barmouth. Our favourite place in Wales ❤️ We’ve done the Panorama walk before. Those views are stunning! It’s such a dog friendly place as well. Good grief! That waltzer was too ‘spinny’ for me 🤢 I’ve always thought The Last Haul was quite karma sutra 😱 So pleased you fed the troll on the bridge. It takes us to The George at Penmaenpool every year for a pint. Ha ha!! You won’t believe it but I had a goat as a pet when I was a child. We took him out on a lead 🤣🤣 Thanks for the memories ☀️
We thought of you guys loads that day!! It was such a beautiful day and gorgeous seeing the little lambs on the Panorama walk. That’s funny about the last haul, the first thing I thought was bobsled, but I can see where you’re coming from (no pun intended 🤣). Hi guys we love Barmouth and its no wonder it was Wills fav childhood holiday place. Stunning walks that you did here with very cute sheep but hey Rach.... Rock Climbing nutters??? 😃 I love rock climbing and abseiling so much 😄 its great fun. Will be great when you get Debs the drone in action and that toll Bridge from 1879 always amazes me. just outside which I first visited as a baby
'back in the summer of 69' and every
subsequent school holiday
Strangely never got sick of the place

The rickety toll bridge of doom!!.love this so far,more for my suitcase list guys.stunning views is it far from the brecon beacons? were there in july.what a lovely place,and baby larrys too,and the views were sublime.debs the drone"BIG HUG watch the sheep poo!,the amount times gone out and forgot sd cards.love you guys you make me and hubby smile to our faces ache.Thanks for the prices,as thinking doing beach camp there"my only worry is eletric charge points for my car.me and hubby really want to go there,and with generations beach,we are spoilt for choice,our country is such a lovely place,sorry waffleing.what no sausage"lol.prices on the boat was good.omg he had the horn lol,yes ditto love the store too nudey pens and cards in the tat shopmy daughter bought me one yesterday a ice cream,the cone was full of fudge.yes the beach is magic,love your 2 points@ditto.the line if i had a campervan not a !! loved it.and i give hubby a cup of change to shut him up in the arcades lol love wales and stretchy poo .your sense of humor is like us,as londoners say"your sharp as a knife!".love the bridge and the weather was sublime.goats and the lovely pub.have a lovely week and stay safe and buy some superglue for debs "just incase,and always make sure you have over 12 sat nav symbols and home is locked in BEFORE you fly,sorry waffleing.

Ah Debs thanks for watching and we’re sorry that Debs maiden voyage captures nothing!! We were so excited as the views from up there are insane!! It’s about a 2.5 he drive from Breacon to Barmouth!! Sadly due to all the mountains in Wales we don’t have great A roads through the centre of Wales!! The boat trip was lovely to do, I was trailing my hands in the water and it felt amazing!! Definitely need to get that camper to get dressed in, in the future (no plans of becoming a van channel - don’t worry!!). We went out yesterday and actually got some more drone practise in!! It was a pretty drive at the estuary. You're right, those views are amazing, but you could have used some of those motorbikes. Bill isn't that good with his drone, but don't tell him I said that. LOL. What a cool restaurant. Lunch looked so good, no sausage! You did get that boat ride. Bartmouth does look like a great place. Love that home decor shop too. Lots of cool shops. That beach is huge. Beautiful place.

Never heard of Barmouth before! Yarmouth but not Barmouth! Beautiful drive along the estuary. The views are amazing and the countryside is so beautiful. I love the rustic farmhouse with the gorgeous little lambs, the drystone walls, and the striking green of the grass. Barmouth is truly a beautiful seaside resort. Glad you got to capture the toll bridge on the way back! A very enjoyable video - thank you!

What a beautiful day to explore Barmount. The Cardigan bay is just beautiful . The boat ride must be fun while enjoying the views. How happy are those two:) the town looks a cool place to roam around . Lots of shops, galleries, market , carnival and more to check out and enjoy. I love the beach and the bridges as well. Thats a wonderful place to park above Barmouth, free parking to boot. Nice introduction to Debs even if she was cardless on the day. Loved the skipping Rach. Would love to see the dolphins on Cardigan Bay! The boat trip looked very pleasant but I might be a bit green afterwards! Some nice shops there, good choice on the 99! Lovely caravan memories from Wills childhood and its nice to hear you both enjoy the place in equal measure. The rides looked fun but that bridge is a stunner! Wow, wouldn’t like to pass another car on that bridge, not just because of the narrowness but surely the combined weight at that point? 🍻

Wills was right. An absolutely beautiful area! We enjoyed the beautiful hike up into the hills. Lovely sheep with their lambs and stunning views! We don't have a drone but if and when we do it's going to take us awhile to improve too. You both looked incredibly happy on your boat tour! It was lovely. Loved the walk through town with the beautiful stone buildings and shops. Beautiful beach and we "Love Wills and Rach too!" Gorgeous stroll across the bride. It's so nice to see Rachel is honest but we didn't see any evidence of Wills putting in this £1? The second time is a charm on the toll bridge. How many times have we forgotten to press record? Ah thank you both so much. It’s like this for the toll bridge, we only had £1 in cash left, we figured we were only going half way across and then back?? So that’s £1?? The hike up the mountain was lovely, I really wish we’d remembered to pop the sd card in as the views are incredible up there, but every days a school right!! We went out yesterday and are definitely getting better at it now! The boat trip was lovely and yes, we are always so happy when we’re out and about exploring! I just wish we could do it more. Looks like a lovely place, used to live in Wales for a few years but never quite made it here. Keep up with the drone practice...every flight for us is an anxious moment until it safely lands back at your feet. 😂

Ah thank you. He was fuming as the views were amazing! We found photos on the app but no video, again we’re beginners! We took her out on Sunday for a low flight as it was windy. Spent a lot of my childhood and teenage years there, later dated a lovely girl from just up the road in Dyffryn Ardudwy and regularly used to fish for Bass from the beach at Fairbourne, just across the stunningly beautiful Mawddach estuary. Looks like a lovely holiday destination to us! What's more fun than strolling around a beach town with a tasty ice cream? And we're in love with that hangover sign -- it's both honest and everybody can probably relate. Would attempt trying to use that excuse to call in a Monday morning but think the boss would not appreciate our honesty in that department. Now we want a pet lamb desperately. Debs the drone! Absolutely love the name!🤩🤩🙌💜. As new drone parents we feel your pain Rach and Wills🤣. We are still getting to grips with ours and definitely feel very nervous if it goes out of our sight! But Pete is getting much better at flying "Mr Deej" as our drone is called. Practice definitely makes perfect. Argh such a shame you forgot the SD card, the footage would have been amazing from the top of that hill🙈, never mind, you still got to experience the views for yourselves. Absolutely stunning area, we really want to visit Barmouth after watching your tour, we had never heard of it before. What a perfect seaside resort. The boat trip looked like great fun, and a bargain at a fiver each😊👍. Love your commentary Rach and listening to yours and Wills stories is always so much fun.
