- This video was a pain in the butt because I had to go on Facebook Marketplace to buy a transmission to install in my car. I'm not going to lie I was pissed the whole video because of Thieves and comments. Makes me not want to make more videos. brighten my day with a positive comment please.
A person that thinks it's okay to steal is probably a thief themselves.
YOU ARE CORRECT 👍 😮
You shouldn't have to explain your situation to everybody. Stealing is stealing.
Lol bottom line " if it's not yours then you stole it . I totally agree with you 💯%
I agree with you totally.
You can't have anything nice these days without some low life stealing it 🤨
Couldn't agree more with that
Amen!
It's not ok to take anything that doesn't belong to you..... Don't listen to the hate...Have a great day and be blessed
Who in the hell tries to justify the actions of a thief?!?! Probably people that woyld do the same shit. Keep up the good work Sir!
I’m sorry Issac. We certainly live in different days and times now. No one is raised to respect others anymore. I know the feeling of someone else disrespecting one’s property.
I hope you get your stuff back, but if not, I believe God has something better for you in store. Stay positive.
Take care friend.
times have nothing to do with it, for as long as society has existed there have been malicious people. as a younger person i take issue with statements like "no one is raised to respect others anymore", my parents worked hard and did raise me right so it pains me to see people such as yourself be prejudiced against young people because "no one is raised right anymore". times are always changing
@@darkhole9695 I’m sorry you feel that way, no one cares about my feelings either.
Didnt ask you to care about my feelings, just thought i'd share my perspective and maybe open your eyes a bit. Everyone deserves a clean slate to make their mark on, regardless of age, gender, race, anything
In 2002 I went into work and my partner cleaned me out. He took 50 cars and left me with 10 junkers. A trusted buddy stole 150 thousand dollars worth of inventory. Getting ripped off sucks royally. I lost my business and it led to a chapter 13 bankruptcy. Then finally lost my home. Thieves are the biggest scumbags on planet earth. ........
Ike since we're talking about stealing understand the IRS steals everyday. Stop telling us your friggin problems tell us your solutions. Show us the new camera system and the shotguns and ars. You gotta tighten up while your sitting pretty remember millions are struggling and starving. I know it's not good to steal but when your a slave to the system we have no choice to live in just know it's not what they stole it's what you failed to protect maybe. You got money buy a big shop and put all your stuff in there with guard dogs and don't down talk up lift you and the people under you
Sorry u lost so much,man
Sorry for your loss
I still say the Muncie thief should get the Chair Bro!💀
100 percent agree with you on the theft of your stuff buddy. If it's not yours you have no right to touch it. The people who commented differently, as if you don't have a right to be mad about your stuff being stolen, are the problem with America nowadays. I know my agreeing with you doesn't get your things back but I just wanted to let you know that not everyone is worthless out here brotha and thar some of us have your back. Loving the channel here in Indiana buddy keep it up
You know what belongs to you. And if it doesn't, leave it alone.
awesome and outstanding as always.thanks for sharing and taking us along.
Ur absolutely right. There's two things I hate and that is a liar and a thief and their one of the same. They'll steal something from you and say I didn't do it and sound so convincing.
Usually, helps you look for it too.
My grandfather always said don't believe anything that you hear and only half at what you see.so ur always on the look out.
Ike, i said once before, it'll be fine, find your mantra repeat it and stick to it. Im 50 now, a widower for 13 years, walked away from everything i owned and loved 2 years ago. Never been free-er. Like the birds, bees, leaves & trees - i am free. Let go of the hatred towards the theif, maybe embrace the individual. You're a good man and an inspiration to me & im sure, thousands of others. Now's your opportunity to shine like never before.
Your an amazing awesome person with lots of knowledge and expertise, love your videos, keep your head up and keep making your awesome videos
Isaac, I too have been burglarized, twice actually at the same location. I completely understand how you are feeling. My tools (half of all the tools that I owned at the time), parts and equipment that was taken, was stolen from family land/buildings that I grew up on and lived on for 40 years. It is the only time in my life that I truly felt violated. None of the items have ever been recovered. I did learn some lessons from the ordeal and I now have signs, cameras (game cameras are effective, but must be camouflaged or up too high for them to be able to easily remove) and helpful neighbors watching for suspicious activity. Every time I bought a new tool for a while afterward I relived the anger a bit, but I promise that time does heal all wounds! Keep on keeping on, my friend! Disregard the "deacons of doom" that wrote the discouraging comments. They are simply showing their ignorance and lack of moral upbringing. They aren't worth the energy it takes to be offended. Keep making videos and I'll keep watching!!
You should get a sonic cutter with a carbide blade for trimming sheet metal, it is so nice like cutting butter. Once you try it you will love it! Clean and smooth cuts...
Hi, brother from Michigan sorry about your stuff getting ripped off sucks brother my old men is old school too like you said if it’s not free I’ll give it to you don’t take it my dad’s like that too. I hope you find your stuff all the person that did it. I wish you the best of luck brother.
Glad you were able to get the trans in.1 step closer to driving it this summer.
When you see an vehicle or anything for that matter that is sitting somewhere, you may not know who it belongs to, but you know right away that it doesn't belong to you. That is stealing. One hundred percent agree with you Ike.
People abandon cars on the street where we live... It's a problem.
Put up some trail cams to catch future thieves because you know eventually it will happen again just food for thought. Good luck Isaac with the new trans.....
In my opinion...anybody that justifies thievery is usually a thief themselves. Glad to see you back on the 57 Isaac.
And you don't need those kinds of people as fans! I thoroughly enjoy your videos and the ones from Cars and Cameras! Keep posting and I'll keep watching!
I’m sorry Isaac but I have to speak for you and against those commenters. Just because something is abandoned or looks abandoned doesn’t mean someone somewhere doesn’t own the stuff or property. Abandoned doesn’t mean anything I’m a court of law.
“Ohh officer the stuff was abandoned so I went in and grabbed stuff”
That’s not a good defense because even tho it’s abandoned does not mean somebody doesn’t have ownership of the stuff.
I am so sorry for your troubles. I was raised like you. That's not mine, I'll just leave that alone. You know me I'm very happy to see you working on the 57. It's gonna be awesome.
Over here in the UK we have scrap thieves who'll happily take stuff from right outside your door, like bicycles, garden furniture, kid's toys, etc., not giving a crap about whether or not it's junk, they just see metal and take it...
Brother sometimes i feel like watching one of your videos is the only thing that gets me to the next day please keep doing what you do I want to say thank you sir for all you do .
You're one of my favorite youtubers because of how down to earth and relatable you are. Please continue what you're doing, 'cos you're one of the few folks making content that keeps it unbelievably real. Theft is theft, it always feels like a violation, and anyone trying to claim otherwise should re-examine their values. Keep being awesome!
Thanks
You are right that if a person didn't tell you that you can have it, it's not yours. I spent many says in my youth doing that same job in Chevys. My most memorable one has to be a friends 58 Impala. A buddy and I were heading home from somewhere and passed a schoolmate's house where we saw a group of guys under his car. We went back to see what they were doing only to find out they were trying to put a four-speed in. They had been fighting it for hours with no luck. My buddy and I volunteered to try and got lucky enough to get it to pop right in. They were shocked and we were surprised that it went so well. Of course we didn't let on that it was dumb luck. We took the bragging rights and ran with it. Keep your head up and don't let the haters get to you.
My favorite part of your vids is the end with your Dad. Great content, and I am amazed at how well you crawl under a car on the ground.
I put the same trans in my 57. same problem's. the truck bell housing has a small pilot opening and one tapped hole and a doll pin to bolt on the trans mount. car has two tapped holes for trans mounts.
a little progress is better than no progress keep up the good work ike . keep us updated on the thief and what happens to him . thanks for the great vids
That's going to be a sweet ride when your done.
Stir the pot. You're absolutely right. Stealing is stealing, period. No excuses.
I am with you Issac on the break in. I also was raised to leave whats not mine alone. Loving this build. We had some guys get on a roof of a commercial building, they crawled up a fence, their comment when caught, don't make it so easy to crawl onto roof then, one was 19 year old adult. Society is going into pooper.
Stealing is stealing, no matter if you think it's abandoned or not. A thief and a lier are the low of the low. You don't have to explain yourself, all the people that are saying negative comments are either trolling or have never had anything stolen from them.
Keep doing you, your channel is awesome.
Excellent video Issac :) also glad got transferred transmission in and go as planned for too ! Well Done on installation too and enjoy your weekend too!
My car was stolen out of my yard....4 years ago, and the thief has never gone to jail.....lol
Totally agree with your comments , the problem is with thieves thinking if they decide it is abandoned it.t their right to take it. The problem is with them !
I can't believe you have to explain this! Good luck bro love all videos you put out including Cars@ Cameras!
dont let it eat you up its bad and we all feel for you time now to move on hard as it is
Sorry for your losses. Unfortunately for us , people aren’t all raised to respect other people and they think morals are for suckers.
Good video Ike. Be safe and drive careless!! 👊✌️❤️🤙🏼🫡
Man, that's a real bummer your rebuilt Muncie got stolen Ike. And that you had to waste a day and hundreds of dollars on a lesser transmission.
But I'm glad to see you're workin' through it and making progress on the ol' Tri-5. 👍
Just 47 more cars to go...
On those Saginaw transmissions, there are lockets washers on the shift linkages. Make sure they are on there or the nuts and bolts will back off and the linkages will bind up. Had one in my 80 Monza. The washers have three ears that you bend up.
Isaac I hope you have better luck out of Saginaw 4-speed then I did I went through six in my slightly over stock 80 GMC pickup truck with a 350 in it
All those "its abandoned" comments are non-sense. Its not their property and they have no business taking anything that they were not giving or bought. As you said, if you didn't buy it, it's not yours and thus leave it alone. Oh, and obviously the police agree since the guy was arrested.
Isaac that was a tough one to video. Great job. This Old Man really enjoyed the video and seeing you Wednesday 👍. Ready for your next one. 🛵🧔💝
The majority of people are decent but it's the few people who feel entitled to anything they want that sours me on humanity in general.
Hey Isaac, first ever comment, I've been watching you for years now. I'm really sorry about the theft and the people that commented in such a way as to justify his actions. He will have to answer for it during the reckoning, we may not see justice in this life. I really enjoy your videos and your work with cars and cameras. I have been looking forward to weekly videos for a long time and would hate for them to stop. Thanks for sharing your passion for automotive with us and I've really been looking forward to the work on the 57 Chevy. God bless and I hope to see you at Busco
Thank you
What a small world it is! My Grandfather retired from the Saginaw gear plant after fifty some odd years as (among other things) a millwright.
Amen! If it's not yours leave it alone!
Stealing is stealing no matter how you cut it. I was raised the same way, if you don’t buy it or have it given to you than don’t take it. That’s what is wrong with the world today people have no respect for other people or their property. Keep putting out the good videos.
Ike You’ve got the right in this. Stealing is Unacceptable! 😡🤬
Please never stop this we love the content don't let one speed bump bring you down.
Tell them Isaac. I'm with you do it your way it's your stuff.
Been watching your channel for years and always enjoy watching all your videos, having things stolen is the worst, keep making the cool videos Ike you're one of the best👍
Friday!! Best day of the week!! Have a great weekend Ike
Ok, here goes my "positive" note; at least you've got your dream car to work on. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get my dream "beater" C4 Corvette that I can strip down and rebuild back to my own personal specs. Heck I'd be happy with just a 1200 dollar roller body. Then once I get it running, I think it would actually inspire me to want to get my driver's license back, just so I could go cruising around in it.
Haha, yeah!!! That'd be cool... Hahaha😂
Keep looking to the future brother, try not to look back at the bad things, just remember the good things.
Isaac you are 💯 right. If it ain't yours don't touch it.
Agree w ya brother. I was raised on a farm many acres. We had shit everywhere didn’t matter what it looked like if it’s not yours you don’t touch it .
Brother, I feel your pain. Not everybody was raised with morals and decency. Buddy mighta grew up in a 20ft. Single wide with mama, 'dad' of the month, and two siblings. Probably not far off in any case, but bottom line Karma is a bitch, so I wouldn't stew on it too long. You could also get his inmate info if & when he gets incarcerated and mail him a bunch of gay porn pics. I was in county once for a dui when I wasa kid, and somebody did that very thing to one of the guys. Needless to say we laughed our asses off and never let him live it down
great stuff thanks.
Ahh yes, the old run the floor jack handle with your foot trick. I thought I invented that. LOL
Cool.God bless.
"abandoned" or not its private property. He had no business walking around in your thicket to begin with. Signs or no signs if you don't know the property, the owner, or whats up with the land you have no business there period. Stuff like this happens a lot in midwest region. Ignore the ignorant people who don't understand the basic rule, if it ain't yours don't touch it or trespass on it.
My family has dealt with similar situations like this even from a neighbor. I can understand the frustration. Sorry about your stuff Ike, I hope things will work out.
You’re right stealing is wrong no matter what.
Hay buddy ignore the haters as all they do is get you down and you don`t need that. It`s really horrible when someone takes any of your stuff that dosen`t belong to them i feel for you buddy as you give me the impression that you are a really nice guy. I really enjoy watching your content and it was nice to see you back working on your 57 Chevy i can`t wait see more on it. Keep up the good work as your the best Isaac 👍😁
Some of the things that go on even in repairs. Had a friend take his new 70 GTO convertible into the dealership for a clutch. About a week later his wife (her car) Said it was just not like before. IE how it shifts and runs.. He jacked it up to find a Saginaw installed and the Close ratio Muncie was gone. Dealership? Nope it came in like that...
Great video Ike! Thats what I like about chevys You can interchange a lot of parts!
Very true!
Holy Cow Isaac!! I have a Muncie M21, freshly built (new hubs and sliders matched by Paul Cangiolosi), new synchros, new countershaft, all new bearings and seals, installed in an AutoGear Super Case, with a steel midplate. I mighta just given it to you for your channel, just for fun. I have a matching M20 that I ended up installing my my 2nd Gen F-Body, and the M21 is just sitting in my back garage.
I just remembered, I also have a steel bell housing, came out of a '57 (period correct if that means anything), that mates up to the Muncie and a small block.
Wish you were in nc
It’s not ok for anyone to take things that don’t belong to them ever .
People seem to blame the victim now and try to make it right for the bad guys
Lol I 100% agree with you.. the guy knows he was stealing. Whether it “looked abandoned” or not. If he wanted the stuff there is legal ways he could have gone about it to see who the land owner was and inquire about it.
Property lines are a thing. Don't cross them. That's a nother person land, and you can get in trouble! AWESOME JOB cool car, we have 55 post car 327 4speed well it's we wife's 😊
You're absolutely right, Isaac.People need to get that through their damn head
That is the way I was raised too, if you didn't buy it then it's not yours too take. I can't believe someone would justify stealing
Another good one 👍👍
The original 57 Chevy tranny is a Muncie 3 speed. They do make a Saginaw 3 speed. Saginaw cast iron 4 speeds came with several different size throw out bearing collars as the Saginaw 4 speed was used in many GM cars. I have worked in wrecking yards for over 35 years. 32 years as the engine and transmission man.
Those people commenting that mess need to be smarter than that. If it isn't your land, you stay off of it. Exploring land that isn't yours can be risky. What happens to you when doing so, is on you.
Good job!
I'm behind you 100% , if you dont have deed total or proof of ownership it's not yours , if you have permission it's still not yours. Is only your property if you have a deed to property in your name or a title in your name
back on the 57! keep after it.
Unfortunately scavengers are gonna scavenge anywhere you leave something unsupervised. Speaking of, ive got to move my parts truck soon, them 4x4 components are starting to get s'pensive and groceries are getting real high... gotta remove the temptation
Haters will be haters Ike we just have to ignore them! And it's not junk it's priceless Parts😀.
Isaac, FYI ...they do make solar powered game cameras now with a cellular link. They will send you an alert when something is moving in the field of view and send video. Something to think about
Wth, it's never ok for someone to take your stuff. It's not there's and it doesn't matter if it appears abandoned, it's not theirs. Wth is the matter with people today..
The average internet user is cringe. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Hell no , if it's not your's leave it alone.
Some people just suck !
People are crazy if they think it’s ok to take stuff off any property that they don’t own.
I agree, you shouldn't have to explain anything!
I'm with you , if it ain't yours leave it alone !
You don't have to explain to the people that are way to stupid and play the victim card. It's simple DONT TAKE STUFF THATS NOT YOURS. Man some people just suck at Life.
westport wa.state here and it was a nice ass day today.
now on to business. one in a million people think its o k to take. the rest of us know its not.
i am sorry for your loss. carma will get them. and then God old mighty.
It’s amazing how many Muncie transmissions are up here in Canada I mean crap did he speed shop just installed one in his beautiful Camaro my buddy has two
Wow! That thief should be taught a lesson for sure! The nerve of some people to take what is not theirs. Probably took it all to a smelter where it'll never serve it's intended purpose. Such a crying shame that we live in such a shameful world with no integrity or moral compass. To hell with it all
Hey Ike I agree with you 100%. That shit should have never have happened.
Put up lots more signs to double up just to make sure. I understand your frustration with people taking your stuff but I'm sure you thought about someone doing that sorta thing and with that stuff being where it is your probably going to keep having that issue sadly. I'm sorry people are that way. I was raised not to take shit I didn't earn or pay for its sad others aren't more honest. Not far from my house is Youngstown ohio. If you was in that area more of your stuff would have been taken and they'd get in that garage barn of yours and snatch whatever they could. Can't trust any damn one. Stick up cameras all over the place is my advice
Such ignorance, a thief is a thief, when did it become a justified employment opportunity.
I’d be way, way more bitter than you.
Take care Issac, stand by your principles.
I agree with you if it is not yours don't touch it
It’s nice to once again see people blaming the victim. It appears to be becoming a common theme here in the good old USA, especially when it’s a have not taking from someone who has something.
If only the thief put as much effort into working an actual job as he put into robbing Ike.
I have worked retail for 13 years and yes theft is a problem , deal with it all the time , sorry Isaac .
Basically what he's saying is people, IF IT AINT YOUR PROPERTY ITS BELONGS TO SOMEONE ELSE!!! KEEP YA A$$ OFF IT!!!
only a thief will try to rationalize stealing. fuq em. they are not worth giving your energy to. keep up the vids man!
