Hi, Sal. Can I request? Can you make a long video or combine multiple videos to one and arrange mutually exclusive timelines paralleled so we get to understand the whole world history in just one video? Because some of the incidents would be connected to each other and it is difficult already to align your history videos and mentally connect the dots. It would make things a lot easier for us or at least for me If I am not being too selfish, Thank you! And please keep uploading your videos......!

Are you fucking kidding me? Khan actually has influence over a decent chunk of people looking at his materials trying to learn something. The fact that he so utterly fucks up in recalling the history of the world as well as in describing proper ideological mindsets of the time has more of a negative effect on people watching than if I were to make a video offering a counterpoint. Also, why these "if you're so smart"? I never claimed to be smarter, I just happen to know he's wrong here.

He didn't mention the allies meetings in Tehran, Yalta, and Potsdam. The change in leadership, differing ideologies during the grand alliance was important wasn't it.

you should've went further into the 80s with the soviet invasion of afganistan and the nuclear war the almost happened in during that time. A soviet satelite using an infared camera picked up thousands of missles heading for the soviet union when really it was just a sun glare messing with the sensors it was up to one man to decide whether to retalliate or not and I'm pretty sure he disobeyed order and was discharged.

No they didn't end the war. If the war was over, there wouldn't have been more bombing raids, by definition. The war was "essentially over" after the broadcast was made that the Japanese would surrender unconditionally, which happened AFTER the raid on the refinery.

So I guess you don't think the first attack of the war by a major belligerent doesn't count as the start? I'm not nitpicking either. The whole reason the war in Europe started was 'to protect Polish sovereignty', yet when Stalin invaded Poland in Sept 39, France and Brittan did not declare war on the SU. Stalin's invasion from the east is a major problem for the Polish sovereignty BS we get fed.
The division of Germany could have at least been mentioned.
How did I move to a different topic? You replied to 2 separate posts that dealt with 2 separate topics. What did I make up? Are you denying the war guarantee by France and Brittan? Do you deny that an ultimatum was issued by the British to get out of Poland or the British empire would declare war on Germany? Furthermore, if the nukes ended the war, then the next bombing raid was the beginning of a new war. Furthermore, The SU declared war on Japan and that also played a role in ending the war.

Khan was trying to produce a non-controversial overview using "standard" terminology and assumptions. Obviously a serious questioning of assumptions and use of terms, plus precise descriptions of historical events, are far beyond the scope of the video. The "may be justified" phrase was plainly intended to avoid making a judgment one way or the other. At least Khan managed to imply there was US hypocrisy involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis -- most Americans wouldn't bother.

Actually he was right. socialism is were the individual owes his being to the state. Communism is a state that is comprised of equal individuals. You are right to say that most countries do have some socialist ideals. But the broad term of a socialist state is used to define the state of categorical reasons such as; soviet union, cuba, and early china. Lastly communism has never been seen in the marxist or Utopian forms in our worlds history. Thats what he was stating. hope that helps you out.

The bombing of Nagasaki did NOT end WW2, there was a huge attack, the largest in the pacific ever done on an oil refinery north of Tokyo. You are leaving out FAR too many details, especially the aggression of the SU at the beginning, both on Poland and Finland.
The problem here is that you're being way too pedantic over the definition of Socialism. In common usage socialism means more Government intervention. If you ask just about anyone theyll say yes the USSR was communist. However the USSR was not "stateless" since they were still an established state. They werent Egalitarian since certain political officials were of higher class than ordinary people. They werent moneyless since they had a currency. And yet the USSR is still defined as Communist.
SO I guess the Japanese invading Manchuria and then the rest of China had NOTHING to do with ww2? The SU attacked Poland from the other direction in Sept of 39, but I guess that has nothing to do with anything either.

You are missing the point. You can't do an overview of WW2 in 15 minutes. By doing a 15 minute overview, you bring a lot of people to false conclusions.

Socialism is an economic system where the means of production are controlled by the public. Communism is stateless egalitarian socialism. Anarchism therefore (with the exception of Anarcho-capitalism) is communistic/socialistic in nature. Anarchism is a sub-branch of Libertarianism. Please learn the actual definitions of words. "Government intervention in economics" is neither communism nor socialism.
FDR was no innocent: he deliberately *wanted* the USA Pacific Fleet bombed; had he not been running the show; and he himself was *extremely* in favor of Stalin; by far the worst human being ever, he set out to have it bombed to bring the American People into the war. Mind you; that's an act of deliberate weakening of the USA military at a critical time: something that would bring up questions of his patriotism in any sane US citizen.
In fact, the American Carriers could've annihilated the Japanese main carrier fleet in that operation; but FDR had forbidden them from doing so, same with the planes that were stationed at Pearl Harbor: they could've given the Japanese a fight, but he forbade them to do so.

Pretty much every country on this planet is socialist to some degree, even USA (since it has public education, police, roads etc.). Communism is a more extreme form of socialism in which the Government has total control of the economy.

Thing we really ought to question is the legitimacy of JFK's *catholicism*, not so much his presidency; he sure didn't live the life: he was a pretty regular adulterer; and that's a major no-no to members of his faith... I know that very well myself, as I have been a life-long Catholic. In short, the rule he pretty regularly violated was one summarized in the following stance "NO sexual relations at all outside of true marriage., ever!", and any violations of that are major-league immorality; no exceptions.
