It's sad, I know. I just wish people would give praise and attention to these hidden Disney gems from the 2000s and not remember them as box-office failures.

Look up the story of Walt tricking people with fake companies named things like "M.T. LOTT" (Empty Lot) RETLAW industries (WALTER Disney) spelled backwards. Lol ♥. Walt Disney was a seriously interesting man.
      Not to mention.. Club 33. The history of why it exists is very interesting. Disney employees seem to get nervous or unsure if you ask about it. I had to buy a pretty old book written by walt disney's brother to even find out. Disney is a rabbit hole of easter eggs as a company.

    -In Sora's battle against the Hydra, Meg will always stay on the corner of the arena, watching the fight. If you get near her, she will throw healing orbs near you.
    -Originally, Marluxia was going to be a female character, but they decided against it, because they didn't want two female trying to overthrow the Organization.

    -In Port Royal back in Kingdom Hearts 2, one of the cannons in the very first area reads "James Norrington", one of the characters from the first film.
    -In La Cité des Cloches, after Judge Claude Frollo is killed, Quasimodo falls from the balcony, is saved by Phoebus, but is back at the balcony again, and not at a lower level.
    -If you visit The Grid before Prankster's Paradise, Sora will still be surprised to see Xemnas in the latter, even though he should not.
    -In Symphony of Sorcery, Zeus appears off-screen to throw lightning bolts at Sora sometimes.
    -Originally, the Final Fantasy gang from Radiant Garden were going to appear in Birth By Sleep, but the team thought the world already had too many plots of its own.
    -In Traverse Town back in Kingdom Hearts 1, when you rescue the Dalmatian puppies, one of them will happily follow Sora around in a room.

    The ages of Sora, Riku, Kairi had always makes since to me. Sora and Kairi were 14 years old in Kingdom Hearts 1 while Riku was 15 years old in Kingdom Hearts 1. Kingdom Hearts 2 took place one year after Kingdom Hearts 1 so Sora and Kairi were 15 years old while Riku was 16 years old during the events of Kingdom Hearts 2. Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance took place sometime after Kingdom Hearts 2 so Sora and Kairi were still 15 while Riku was still 16 in Dream Drop Distance. They were the same ages in Kingdom Hearts 3 since the story took place immediately after Dream Drop Distance. Then in Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind the Limit Cut took place one year later after Sora's disappearance so that makes Sora and Kairi 16 years old and Riku 17 years old. Something you might be interested in. You can actually date the years the series takes place in as, in the Toy Box, there is a game in the video game store that is similar to real world basketball games that release on a yearly basis. I don't exactly remember which year (somewhere between 1999 -2002, I think) but of course, KH 2 is within a year of KH 3 and BBS is ten years prior to KH 1.
    With that being said, we don't know how much time takes place within each game. We have some vague pointers, but without knowing the characters birthdays, it is possible Sora is 16 (or 15) during KH3.

    • @meteornome2556
      @meteornome2556 Před 3 lety

      Sora is still 15 during kh3 because 3 takes place directly after DDD, and DDD takes place after Coded. By Re:Mind there is a time skip so now Sora is 16.

    • @fanart13
      @fanart13 Před 3 lety +1

      @@meteornome2556 Directly doesn't mean immediately. While there may not be any important events in between, Coded could still be a week or month after KH2 and likewise for DDD (the cutscene with the message in a bottle adjusted accordingly, because it is clearly out of order). For example, A week could pass after KH2, then Coded, another week passes, then they get the bottle, Riku cuts his hair, then DDD happens.
      We still do not know how much time takes place during each game.
      Edit: I don't know when in 358/2 days that Axel leaves for Castle Oblivion, but we know at least a week passed from Sora's Sacrifice in Hollow Bastion and he met Vexen in Castle Oblivion. Just as an example.

    • @meteornome2556
      @meteornome2556 Před 3 lety +1

      @@fanart13 Can't have been a month because Hayner, Pence, and Olette are still on summer break (in japan summer break is 40 days) in KH3. It was probably a week or two weeks from KH2 to coded to DDD to KH3.

    • @fanart13
      @fanart13 Před 3 lety

      @@meteornome2556 That's a fair point, we don't know what school system they have. At max it would be three months, or it could be about a month like you mentioned.
      Still, logically, say Sora was roughly four months from his birthday in KH1, it could be a total of two/three months to cover the events of KH1 and COM, then he wakes up roughly a year later, which makes him 15. Then it takes roughly a month/month and a half to complete KH2, Coded, and DDD. He could be 16 during the main of KH3. I'm not saying it is or is not, just speculating in the event there is no official confirmation of his age.
      Edit: According to KHwiki, Sora's Birthday is March 28 (granted not canonically so), so based on that if what I said was true, he would still be 15. An official statement could still clarify it.

    Big up from italy for you Jared for bringing back this kind of video and actually create basically the biggest sum-up video ever about KH secrets and details.
    Personally, i'd like to add three curiosities i've heard (i'm not 100% sure that they're true) and weren't brought up in this video:
    1) about the Rikku one, the characters from FFX were probably included to promote further the game (published less then a year before KH1); Wakka from the same game wasn't originally included in KH, instead Irvine Kinneas from FFVIII (for the ones who don't know the series, He's Selphie's boyfriend) was supposed to live on the island; Rikku's exclusion probably led to Wakka's inclusion.
    2) The "lion king" world was supposed to be present in KH1, but it was scrapped due to the fact that the system couldn't support a four-legs fighting character (in fact, the Simba summon doesn't actually "fight", he can only walk, jump and use the roar command which is a static charge move)
    3) This is the one i'm less sure, but i've read somewhere (i'm sorry, i don't remember where) that Greg Weisman, the creator of Gargoyles, once stated that squaresoft actually called him to discuss a possible inclusion of the series in KH1; if it's true well i'm really sorry that it never went further because i'm a big fan of Gargoyles and i would really like a Gargoyles' world.
    Sorry if i made some errors, but english is not my mother language.

    green blood from the hydra is accurate to the Hercules movie, but the black smoke censor is accurate to Kingdom Hearts lore I'd say since the hydra works for Hades and Hades works for Maleficent and Maleficent works for the darkness, so that black smoke could be the darkness flowing through the hydra's veins

    22:09 22:53 (number 58 and kinda 61 as well) another thing is if you ring the bells again after getting "Paintings are great..." you'll get some more dialogue telling you that something interesting happens if you strike the clock in your room. Then if you go into the green room and strike the clock above one of the doors enough times (You will know if a hit is successful if the hand moves) to about 7o'clock, a sound should play and a chest will spawn in the room.

    I really enjoyed this video in all of it’s interesting facts. The one I find the most interesting is the boxarts of 1,2, and 3 giving us sneak peaks to worlds we will visit in future Kingdom Hearts games. Another interesting theory is do summons predict future worlds as well? We got Simba and Mushu in KH1 then in KH2 we got Pride Lands and Land of Dragons, and the unused Woody and Buzz Summons predicted the Toy Box World in KH3, Nomura wanted what we all wanted as kids when we first played KH. I hope we eventually get a Jungle Book World, Treasure Planet, Pocahontas, Bugs Life, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo and Brave.
