Hope y'all safe and healthy and building models!
If you don't have enough modelling videos for one evening, or Tigers, then check out Panzermeister's video about his Tiger: czcams.com/video/NBoj8GX0okQ/video.html
It's definitely nicer than this thing 🤣
It's really cool, but what you're making right now is not a hybrid Tiger, but a rebuilt Tiger.
The last 54 tigers produced in August 1944 were used with used body and turret, but parts such as engine and transmission were completely new and were given new vehicle number. Therefore, the hybrid tiger does not differ much in appearance from the normal tiger late production, and all the vehicles used in the Fehrmann tank school are rebuilt tigers.
Thank for the nice video my friend... here (North Italy) i am for now safe, healty as much as i can with my family and hope the same for you... Keep the good work goin' !
I think it looks far more authentic than most I've seen. The time is late war, esthetics are about the last thing anyone is concerned with. And the whole point of camouflage is to break up an objects outline so that it appears as non-descript as possible. Well good sir you have succeeded in that. I look forward to more.
Tssszimmerit?
"Next up on CSI:Night Shift; he shows us how to differentiate between 15W40 and 10W30 engine oils on a T-34 by colour matching the cow in the background."
You have just shown us so much about researching colours....love it
You chose the messiest and most unique German tiger of them all, for the commonest model of all
Good job
Thanks, that was the idea behind this whole project 😁
@@NightShiftScaleModels you are like the kid in classroom who always stands wants to stand out :d ;D
@@olmocap5548 He's the kid who always answers with "Present" when the substitute teacher calls out their name for role call lmfao
As it stands currently, I think this model is one of the 'prettiest' ones I've watched. It is SO unique it has its own beauty
You unlocked new achievement:
Historian of tank camouflages
Martin: Builds his first Tiger Tank.
Also Martin: Chooses probably the most complicated form of the Tiger there is.
"And God knows what else..."
Uncle Nightshift, what did you do to that poor Tiger?
I was also troubled by that😉
some wehraboos just take it too far man, I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened here
"Beautiful humans and scale modelers"
You saying us model builders ain't beautiful???
No no, we're not *human*.
Modellers are the most beautiful humans!
Either scale modelers are not beautiful, not human, or both.
I'm not disagreeing. :D
@@NightShiftScaleModels Well I'm not going to disagree with you... also, you can use free online Black and White photo colorizes like Algorithmia if you're a bit iffy on the scheme(you probably already know this but in case you didn't...)
@@lukeholsten1436 You're aware that colorizing isn't at all a definitive way of determining the finish on a vehicle.... Right? Depending on which colorizer you use and which settings they're being run on, the results will be entirely different. Starting to see the problem? There is no scientific method for colorizing B&W film. It's typically just done to make things *look* right from an artistic viewpoint, but it rarely has any basis on how things actually looked.
Oh my God, it looks amazing. I know I'm in the minority on this, but I love mismatched camo and this ticks all of my boxes. A gorgeous tank, painted in such variance in colour.... I really want to do something similar now
You, sir, are awesome
Remember to use hand sanitizer on keep your models healthy
What do you think the lacquer thinner is for?
@@D8W2P4 what lacquer thinner? Denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol is what i use
@Bogey and your point is?
And hydrogen peroxide
I don t know why 3 guys, don t like this vídeo! Maybe they build shermans...This is great!
Uncle Nightshift, you are the highlight of my week. The one thing I look forward to and then rewind and watch again to help my skillz. Thank you, you are also a beautiful human being.
Love watching these videos over and over again. Always something new to learn, whether it be a modeling technique, new tool used, or just the history behind the designs that influenced your builds! Plus the level of detail and effort put into each model and video just astounds me and makes me want to watch more! Excellent work as always Uncle Night Shift!
My favourite plastic modelling channel on CZcams. The most detail and opportunity to learn plus great production. Keep up the great work!
Thank you my mate, looking awesome, and seeing all the research put into it, and the utter weirdness of looking at an early model turret vs a late war wheels just adds up to it. Stay safe bro!
That's a large collection of plastic, putty and metal... looks amazing. Sure it'll look even better when you're done with it
Edit: I thought Fehrmann Tigers were refurbed early turrets with standard late hulls and either refurbed early/mid running gear or standard late running gear? And I don't think there should be any real blue in German Grey.
Well, I think late hulls had 1 headlight placed on the front plate, and the F13 had lights on top, which was a thing on early hulls.
Found him...lol
Your videos are one of the major highlights of the week!
I think its brilliant. i found your thought process and knowledge around the paint scheme really interesting. Clearly a lot of work and effort but already worth it. Thanks Uncle night shift.
This things awesome! It's very busy, but I really love how every detail tells a story with it, and it all seems very deliberate. I'm sure oils and weathering will help tie everything together too. Really inspiring!
Uncle Nightshift, i have a challange for you, make a Tank using only *ACRYLIC* paints and pigments (so no enamel based paints) good luck
Even better make a tight budget
100% for the idea with acrylics
and no photo etch
Sounds toooo boring
Guess better is make model without plastic and resin
PanzerFaust Studios sounds boring
I'm so exited to see how this works out in the end!!
you have been teaching me quite a bit, you are the best
A panzer grey s.IG33 pz.kpfw III & DAK Pz IV would be great for future builds!
keep yourself safe, Martin by washing your panzer cats frequently!
Man I love how this is coming along!
Brilliant work as always. I like the theory and research you put into it.
Great video Martin! You were funny, entertaining and the video was quite informative. I use your tips and applications for most of my German armor. Keep up the good work 👌👍
Outstanding... you are definitely tracking on the right target with this approach for this project!
Miniature building and painting is a process, I applaud you for sharing this with us
Brilliant work 👏🏻👏🏻
Very interesting approach indeed. Can’t wait to see the final result with weathering and all. 👍🏻👌🏻
Coming along.....just spot on phenomenal work!!!
Really beautiful weathering, chouces, research and your execution of those choices....just very cool i cant wait to see your next steps
Superior weather and art behind your choices and command of the process
😉😊😊👍👍
I'm really looking forward to seeing this finished, I really like it 👌🏼
As usual on fridays, a great video from the master!
Love the videos mate! Keep them coming!
Awesome!!! Nice job, like always
Dear Martin, Love the work! This clearly demonstrates Perfect Planning & Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance! Kind Regards Johnny
Your work is amazing and so educational on both the historical details as well as the modeling techniques, I don’t think there’s a way you could fail on one of these videos. I mean, even if this attempt doesn’t pan out as you hope, I feel like there’s still a ton of knowledge in this video and series.
You do beautiful work my friend.
What a great evening! First Panzermeisters video and now yours! Can't beat that haha! Awesome results so far, and once again i learned a lot! Keep it going my friend!
Hey, my video was published first! 😄
Brilliant video Martin! The distressed paint looks great!
Looks spot on so far
I love how it looks!!!, It’s so unusual and it’s awesome!
Really a great and complex project and I'm waiting the next step !
I don't do models, yet I really appreciate the research behind all this work. Outstanding!
Fascinating painting process. I am keen to see the next stage.
Take care. Stay safe. Thank you.
Now kam excited vor the next Part great work
Love the tip about spraying the model with thinner! I will definitely be trying that!
Great as always.
Nothing could get me to unsubscribe from this channel its one of the best if not the best on utube. I have learned alot from your videos and I am always entertained by them I am sure the tiger will be bada** when your done stay safe mate
Bro I love your work you have done a lot to inspire me to try and do new and better things to my models keep it up
Awesome job, I think it looks very good so far! Definitely different! Looking forward to more weathering.
That's a nice video you made on building some real nice Tiger 1 tank you have there good job
So many good techniques in this one; loved it!
I trust you! I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
that light and dark grey looked amazing ! I want to do an Opel Blitz with that pattern now .
Really intresting. The colour achem does make sense. It's nice to see such a different project with a tiger.
I think you’re doing some unique, interesting work. It’s not ugly it’s innovative.
Very educational. I rather like the look and you’re quite thorough in your research 🔬
What a job, Martin!
You are a beast man! Keep the work up!
The model looks rally good so far no worries, you got a lot of talent, i enjoyed the video.
Great effects to make chips in different yellow tones, i like it very much, well done mate.
Great job!
Actually looks pretty great... love the weathered and battle damaged builds.
It's awesome, totally different! Love it!
thank you for taking the time to video all of this i know the pain of setup and re video for ytube its a pain since it can make a 30 min job a 2 hr job just for camera angles and missed footage. to the point id like to see you do a henglong 1/16 tank mainly because they have fewer details so it gives you room to make tons of your own. atleast this is what i am doing
You sir are an artist that Tiger is absolutely fantastic
Wow, what a Frankenstein!! I love it!!!
To je tak ošklivý až je to hezký!!! Nikdy jsem žádnýho druhoválečnýho němce nepostavil, ale začínám mít chuť si alespoň jednoho Tigra postavit díky tvým perfektním videím :)
this is going to be like a Bob Ross painting. Your not too sure what your looking at the whole way through and then he does a final brushstroke and suddenly you have a beautiful painting of mountains
Honestly this is a very impressive and unique build.
Don't worry, you're the wizard, we're the audience and this is not the end of the show.
Geez....I don't even have the words but I thought I needed to say something...WoW! what a GREAT model! The outright authenticity and detail just blows me away. It would really be tough to distinguish this from a real Tiger tank if you had no size context in a photo. I guess that's the whole point though isn't it, and you make it look so easy too, which is the mark of the true master. WoW! just....wow. I'm totally inspired to go out and get a kit and start modelling now, I wonder if I could get the kind of results you do, lol.
I've been looking forward to this.
I can already tell that this model is going to look fantastic. I'm looking forward to using these techniques to paint distressed metal and paint for Gaslands tabletop game
Looks awesome man, I love it
The more unusual camouflages are the best....
This is exciting!
WAIT. WAIT.....WAIT. Blasted your model with lacquer thinner? At first, thought you were crazy. Then you made it perfectly logical. Never would have had the guts to do that to a model that had that much time already invested. You are a Master. Thanks Martin. Keep on keeping on
Looks amazing dude I think your right with the panzer gray under the zimm 👍
True, you probably have other models planned, but I would like to see you try a T-34/76... just to see the weathering done.
For some reason I am acually liking how it turned up/is turning up, it's very unique tank for sure, and it seems to be building it's own character from it's sheer messines
Thank you ,Uncle Martin .
Looking good , nice one .
Im still new to the hobby but the one major thing I have learned so far is it’s going to look worse before it looks better. If that makes sense, I might be plain old crazy idk. I am excited to see how it turns out.
Depending on the painting style, a model without any special effects looks like a toy. And when it's an ugly tank, it looks like an ugly toy 😄
Going to look amazing once finished.
Mr. Surfacer is THE BOMB. I recently started using the thicker stuff in a bottle for gap filling and it's so amazing, I will never use anything else ever again.
Very intereting effect. And very interesting tank. ;) All the best for You! ;)
Not that my opinion counts for much but I think it looks great so far, my knowledge and expertise is just above zero but I agree with what you said and with your reasoning, can't wait for the next video, thanks for sharing this with us.
Your vids are very helpful for us beginners, it's helped me spot flaws in my technique which is half the battle for me.
Outstanding looking cat 👌 Looking forward for a next episodes ;)
Can't wait to see how it will look like when it's finished.
Nice! Idea for "yellow" theme vehicle: Operation Desert Storm with modern vehicle. You can try out new technics, because of different weather and environment (dust, sand, smoke). And there were a lot of tanks with freshly applied desert pink camo over the usual green-brown-black pattern.
😮 WHOAO! that's the greatest tank you ever made good job i like it👍
Looks amazing man! Beautiful, but only to an armor junkie lol. Fantastic work as always 👍 Can’t wait to see it completed. Great work on all the research, it really adds life to this unique piece.
I'm really only a wargaming modeller and my interest only goes as far as making my historicals look vaguely correct without specific reference, but I really admire the dedication to getting details as small as the colouration of the zimmerit paste correct!
I think you have nailed it this is a tank I have been Researching for a long time and I have to agree with everything .I also a agree that your colors are spot on.i want to copy the same colors. Awesome job m8 I think if it's not a 100% Accurate but it's a good representation of the real thing and that's the most important part is to have fun with this hobby And build and complete your models Don't get hung up on if its accurate we are all going buy a black and white pictures have fun and keep building kits that's what it's all about.
great paint job
Nice job well done
Nice steady hand on lettering!
Finally! the next video!
I subscribed because of this video!
Honestly I love the weirdness. It draws attention to the details
i think the messy paint job makes it look acually very realistic because it looks nothing like a toy and i imagine many german tanks were painted similarly to this (perhaps not with the whacky colors) but why would they try to make it neat as long as it served its purpose. maybe this wasnt the case but brilliant work either way :)
