It's really cool, but what you're making right now is not a hybrid Tiger, but a rebuilt Tiger.
The last 54 tigers produced in August 1944 were used with used body and turret, but parts such as engine and transmission were completely new and were given new vehicle number. Therefore, the hybrid tiger does not differ much in appearance from the normal tiger late production, and all the vehicles used in the Fehrmann tank school are rebuilt tigers.

I think it looks far more authentic than most I've seen. The time is late war, esthetics are about the last thing anyone is concerned with. And the whole point of camouflage is to break up an objects outline so that it appears as non-descript as possible. Well good sir you have succeeded in that. I look forward to more.

There is no scientific method for colorizing B&W film. It's typically just done to make things *look* right from an artistic viewpoint, but it rarely has any basis on how things actually looked.

i think the messy paint job makes it look acually very realistic because it looks nothing like a toy and i imagine many german tanks were painted similarly to this (perhaps not with the whacky colors) but why would they try to make it neat as long as it served its purpose. maybe this wasnt the case but brilliant work either way :)
