- I am still not happy. At least I think something is not happy. If we didn't clean this build enough and this damage is from residual leftovers,, well,, that sux!!! We will find out when the block is bare!!! If there is no real failure,, then it HAS to be a dirty install!!!

That's one really cool video there bud!!! You and Julie ripping that apart is bringing back memories of Rakel and I getting our hands dirty on these many years back. The good old days. Interesting to see piston and rod assemblies apart on these. I didn't know that the wrist pins were free floating through both the rod and the piston. I've always thought it was either one or the other. That is one NICE looking setup of a shop you're working in there too. Electric cordless tools sure are better than air tools aren't they? Be careful stripping all those eighteen TX-30 fasteners for the HPO rails.
ADDED: Rakel just watched this video and actually thought it was cool. She's actually wishing she was there as well if you can believe that. She's asking Anthony where are the FICMs?
On another note, since you've disassembled all eight piston and rod assemblies, are you going to be pulling the cam and crank for further inspection? I'm assuming you are, since you've elected to come apart this deep.

They obviously hit it while balancing the rotating assembly
I do not remember running a cut off wheel or grinder anywhere near the crankshaft. Fact is,, it got cut somehow....
I tore down an engine and found nothing wrong before.... It sucks but sometimes you just have to know.

How did the JB weld do? I don't normally see it after it was to surface a metal sealing surface.

Pull the low pressure pump gears, or the shit came from inside the oil cooler......Just curious, did you eyeball the gear on the back of the crank? they did did fuck up the front......
We will get to all that. It looks like we are going bare block. At this point I want to see it all!!!
