Super Duty Service going ON TOUR in our new Prevost H3/41
I am READY to have fun again!!! No matter what it takes,, we will enjoy ourselves while we do what we want to do!!! The 4 walls of the conventional "shop" are no longer appealing to me. I do not wish to go to the same place every day for the rest of my life!!!! After all these years,, we have hopefully proven that we can make these trucks run,, now it is time to prove we can have a GREAT time while doing it!!!! Give me your thoughts and ideas and hopefully your dreams for what you see Super Duty becoming in the future... With technology these days,, the sky is the limit for where this mobile engine rebuilding facility will take all of us!!! How many of you all would be able to jump in a bus and drive it to your house from the previous location?? Tow dolly ready to go on the back... I do plan on being with the bus,, but probably not all the time. There will be videos on each job you would want to do and where the tools are on the bus... I would consider that for sure!! Our SDS family is tight knit,, I would let any of you long term watchers roll out in anything I have!!!! Without you all I prob wouldn't have any of it anyways!!! lol

    Nivalc57 Had his Super Duty stolen with his 1 of a kind race car in the trailer that was attached to the truck. I head that they steal the whole shebang because those vintage fords dont have any type of immobilizer in them. They steal the truck and trailer and let it sit for a few days until they ensure that there isnt GPS on the rig.

    I bet the rubber brake lines are vintage/ OEM. I don't believe the Calipers are to blame for the steering pull. When brakes are applied, the old rubber lines expand holding pressure as inside they separate. Many a caliper have been replaced as an expensive symptom of a failed rubber line. All 5 rubber lines should be replaced before I would spend money on calipers, that is of course a caliper proves to be defective. I say this out of experience and known experience of others with the same problem. A good option would be to replace all 5 rubber lines with braided stainless steel aftermarket brake lines. They also come in a variety of colors and lengths for those with suspension/ lift kits. ...Nice King Ranch-like Wheels BTW, and a showroom engine bay, very nice ! ...Rudolph, lol!

    • @AnthonyYoungblood
      @AnthonyYoungblood Před 21 dnem

      I hear everyone talking about these lines, and I have replaced my fair share of calipers on these trucks. I have never had the lines be the problem. I hear your suggestion,, but the calipers are VERY easy to tell that they are stuck when they are removed.

    • @benchwrench
      @benchwrench Před 19 dny

      @@AnthonyYoungblood Please forgive the misunderstanding, I didn't want to imply you made a mistaken diagnosis. It's on my part wanting to share that I have experienced (on numerous occasions) failed brakes. Having to replace calipers several times, only to find when I changed out the lines, my brake problem went away, even to date.

    In my limited life experience, oil pressure sits at 40 psi on the dash gauge and never varies. This video shows measuring oil pressure in a range from 30 psi at hot idle, to 70 psi during highway driving, to 90 psi during cold start while measured at the oil filter housing. Is the dash oil pressure gauge bogus? Can someone explain? Do all engines run with this widely fluctuating oil pressure?

    The last 6 months kicked your butt. Two jobs that really tested your resolve. As a brother shop owner, I know it sounds like I am making light of it, but, it happens to the best of us. Had I not just did my own full 6.0 rebuild, (and I could afford it), I would have loved to have you build my motor. Over my lifetime I have learned to not judge a shop (or anyplace) only by the work they do, but more importantly how they stand up when things go south. Back to back on two jobs you proved you are a reputable shop that stands by your work. I am looking forward to following along on your next project.

      Anthony and Julie Youngblood of Super Duty Services are those kinds of people. I'm forever grateful for what they have done for me and for fixing this truck. When I'm 99.9 percent sure, other shops would have given up or forced a much larger repair bill my way. These two never gave up, and they didn't stick me with an enormous unexpected repair bill at the end .They were honestly too fair my way with the repair bill, and that's the truth. • @AnthonyYoungblood
      @AnthonyYoungblood Před 23 dny

      Not for me SS!!! The higher psi the less it costs to operate the vehicle!! That’s my opinion!!! Sure,, lil rougher ride,, lil less traction in adverse conditions,, but the mileage is the biggest part of my decision. I have spent much more $$$ on fuel in my vehicles than anything else. Purchase price and repairs together. How about you all. I’m trying to add things up now to decide if fuel IS the biggest expense on vehicle ownership????

    7:33 The update speed on a scan tool can be faster if you "custom" the list. When everything is open at one time the refresh rate is slower when you have the whole list selected than if you just select the 1 or 2 PID your trying to monitor.
