      You’re welcome! Sorry for the slow response. I think it’s a 44” light bar

    i am convinced that this is the best rack out there. the load path, weight, looks, and being available in access cab length.

    Ive got this installed in as well and the rubber blocks were a huge selling point for me. In addition to this, the wind noise is insanely low. The crossbars are also high enough for me to use my Yakima Skybox 16 cargo carrier.

    How tall is the rack in the rear? I need a rack that will fit under my Alucab tent over hang

      From the top of the rear cargo light gasket to the top of the rear crossbar is just under 3-5/8”

    Bought mine yesterday! Sherpa is waiting on cross members to become 'In stock.' After a lot of research and Craigslisting the last 2 racks that didn't cut it. I am stoked! I think this is the one I keep!!

    Awesome set up man! Can you provide a link for the light bar and mounting brackets? And when ordering the roof rack, did you select half height so there would be a cutout section for the led bar? Thanks!

    • @realtoyotology
      @realtoyotology  Před rokem

      Yes, I ordered the half height fairing. Here is a link to the light bar. I think they give you the mounting brackets for free if you purchase all three together (rack, 44” lightbar, and brackets). sherpaequipmentco.com/products/extremeled-x6s-slim-series-amber-white?variant=38073104171198

      It’s a 44” light bar. It’s the ExtremeLED’s that Sherpa offers. It has been great!

    How does the rear crossbar hold up rotated down with only 1 bolt per side? I just installed mine and the crossbar is 1/32 from touching my shark fin.

    • @realtoyotology
      @realtoyotology  Před rokem +1

      Mine has held up well. I secure a 28’ ladder up there about once a month and never have a problem. You’ll need to adjust your rack. I have about an inch of clearance from the bar and shark fin. Loosen your cross bar bolts from the side plates (and your fairing) and push the rack back some and re-tighten.

    • @CJ-yt7vl
      @CJ-yt7vl Před rokem +1

      @@realtoyotology if I rotate mine down like yours I would have about the same clearance, but keeping it flat it sits where I stated. I have the rack slid all the way back unfortunately. I know prinsu and others have the rear crossbar done like yours to give more clearance so I wasn't sure how it held up with just 1 bolt per a side. I may try to get a little more adjustment out of it, but the center crossbar mounted to the roof is maxed out to the rear. Thanks for the info, love the truck man, thanks for the video it helped me make my mind up about the rack.

    This is a noob question, but what’s the routing of the Light Bar wire like? Are we cutting holes in the body to run that inside, or how is it done :) thanks any/every body.

    • @realtoyotology
      @realtoyotology  Před rokem +1

      Cut a 3” hole through the roof. Just kidding! Most installations look like this - The lightbar wires run down the side of the windshield along the black trim and into the engine bay. Under the hood, the relays get mounted using an existing bolt or zip tied if needed. Connect the power to the battery. And then the wires for the in cab switch typically will enter though an existing hole in the fire wall.
