absolutely adore this style of animation! i haven’t seen anything quite like this before. i can tell a lot of hard work went into this, and i think it’s safe to say that it paid off 100%.
The lure of disappearing into the void. Or forest. Highly relatable, absolutely loved it.
What about the storyline? What happen to them?
Beautifully made with a very good photography, most of the time I didn't know if it was 3D or stop-motion
2:49 that is a helluva creepy reference, don't know what is going to happen, but it will not be pretty.

i have to say - i love all ALTER shorts, but the animated ones have that extra element that i can’t get enough of ❤️
The acting by the CGI characters was better than most of the acting I've seen in horror shorts.

Talent ! Reminds me of two Authors . Stephen King and Isaac Asimov . SK one I can’t remember title but it was a short story . It has to do with someone taking shortcuts in their vehicle through Maine opting out of their usual trek and encountering the macabre of course . The Isaac Asimov one is also a short story . I quote from a character “ In the 20 th Century the prevailing thought was the world was over developed and overpopulated, yet it was actually still empty . “
“Mrs. Todd’s Shortcut”, but “You Know They Got a Hell of a Band” is the King story you should also
read. Thanks for freaking me out. I have been pondering this story for the last few days, almost 25 years after reading it, then read your comment. I am unfamiliar with the Asimov story, could you find out for me, please and send me a link?
Talking of car journeys and horror, read the short story ‘The Jam’ by Henry Slesar. It is available on the internet.
@@zacetto I am an old Boomer about ten years younger than King and I have read a lot of his works . Is the story you talked about where deceased rock stars showed up to basically a country picnic to perform one last time ? Anyway I tried to find the Asimov story . I couldn’t. It began on a challenge to Asimov by somebody to write a story from a sentence that was given to him I decided not to do a spoiler alert but I will give you this . The same thought or scenarios Asimov envisioned is in his Foundation Trilogy series where there is a planet in the center of the galaxy called Trantor that is just one huge building in which humanity lives. Just one building . . People can go on the rooftop to look up at the sky but oftentimes they freak out if they do After Asimov completed his insightful story he was asked to write an opposite scenario and of course the brilliant Doctor came through . Good luck . Both are in one of his anthologies and thank you for the Henry tip.

Yes…… very much so. I find this story very haunting as I am defined by vintage American Rock n’ Roll, which I have always loved. I found Mrs. Todd’s Shortcut has echoes of From a Buick 8 and the Arrowhead project.
Although I love sci-fi, I kinda missed the boat on ‘hard sci-fi, like Asimov, Sladek, Silverberg, Heinlein, Blish etc.
I am trying to find the name of a good British car short horror story, which I love, it is like Christine on acid. An unprincipled car breaker is habitually approached by a sinister customer, seeking parts for a project - only the parts must come from specific cars that were the involved in specific fatalities…..
