- Another Steel Series gaming mouse came in, and was in need of cleaning to be put back to use, here is how you too can get your own mouse back on track.
Steel series mice seem to be rather easy to both repair and clean, the screws are under the teflon skates so you are going to need to buy new ones before opening the mouse for cleaning.

very helpful, thank you
thank you, just fixed mine

Unintentional ASMR
Good job mate
Thank you. I could clean my mouse with your guide :)
Hello, this has motivated me to clean mine.
A little question, one of the two side buttons doesn’t answer properly (the bigger one), it sometimes doesn’t react at all or « multi react ».
Do you think that clearing the mouse like you did could fix it?
It may, is also possible that the side button assembly is not quite attached the rest it should be or that the button itself is dying and needs to be replaced by desoldering it and soldering in a new one. The only way to find out is to clean it.
and if you happen to know. if the mouse wheel is starting to get glitzy does that mean that the mouse is dirty or that something is broken?
if it does not move correctly its usually because the bottom sensor is full of hair and if the scroll wheel sends both up and down when scrolling down, its usually just filled with all sorts of dirt, botrh can be fixed with cleaning. previously I would have looked at from komplett for the parts but nowdays you also have the swedish amazon for the pads.
@@Purkkaviritys okay, thank you for your response.
@@Purkkaviritys You were right! Mine was twitching up and down when scrolling and after taking it apart and cleaning the problem seems to have disappeared, at least for now. Thanks!
I got an issue on the scrolling wheel, when the 1st scroll attempted the scroll down going up once, and the next scroll is normaly works, any tips?
My mouse almost 9 years btw
@@HEY-T usually this is due to misc junk in the wheel and sensor itself, usually cleaning helps, did you clean the mouse yet?
@@Purkkaviritys thx for the reply, i already clean it a week later, maybe ill do it 1 more time.
How olw was that mouse?
anything between 2-5 years.
