Get your asses outside…walk the beach, pick up those delicious mangoes, grab a coconut (water), talk with the neighbors, feel the cool island breeze on your skin, look for the most magnificent sunset you’ll ever see, and…THANK GOD YOU HAVE A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD, AND THAT II’S NOT A ZINC ROOF.

@@elizebanarsee6767 absolutely very early. record breaking early but no, i am not an expert, however i do pay attention to severe weather warnings during hurricane season. This didn't just pop up... it literally was tracked from when it started out as a system in the Caribbean.

I remember I saw a mini hurricane. Pick up 50 pound grill like it weed less than a feather and moved it off the grounf 5 m as it levitated
I couldnt believe my eyes
So Lifted the grill 3 hours later After the mini hurricane.
Lazon is the way out And The grill was heavy🤯 I was shocked and surprised.
Everybody found out how serious this mini.Hurricane was when the grill got tossed across the field.And all the tents started flying up and being uprooted out of the ground while garbage can lids became flying saucer projectiles
The police got scared and ran up the hill.Taking off so fast.I've never seen cops run that fast in my life
It was undprecedently early in the season 30 days or more. Not usually a problem till next month or month after in jamai ' 🌳🌼

OMG, we're tourists and we have nothing to do since we stayed here while a hurricane cause catastrophic damage across the Caribbean, and now we dont have tv, internet, or the ability to go to the beach... and we're stuck since the airport is in chaos. boo hoo.

I did not like the picture that was painted of the situation…. Completely rubbish they are uttering.
I noticed many tourists who got stuck at hotels in Jamaica were helping to clean up the resorts after the hurricane. Kudos to them for not complaining but trying to get involved in the recovery process.
Pay attention to the news. They announced days before the storm that a hurricane is coming. I called my mom about 6 days before and said prepare. I don’t feel sorry.

Are we going to pretend that electricity and even cell services doesn't have outages in the US or wherever these people are from during a hurricane or other major disaster? I have have seen much less causing outages is many parts of the US. I understand you want to get home, but what did you think was going to happen to ANY airport after a major hurricane? Be reasonable, even if you are frustrated I don't think it rises to the level of being news worthy especially in the way this was worded.
Edit: Beryl made landfall in Texas as a Category 1 hurricane and 2.5 million are without power. It was a much stronger category 4 hurricane when it effected Jamaica. So again, are we going to pretend that something is wrong with Jamaica for not having certain utilities available immediately after a hurricane?

I'm just spitballing here. I don't work in the hospitliy industry, but maybe hotels need staff to run. This staff will be working during the hurricane to provide shelter and support for "you", not securing their homes, making sure their famlies are safe. I would expect an increased rate and welcome it. Sleeping in a warm bed rather than lightly resting on a bench at the airport. I dont feel sorry for these people. They were probably in the best conditions to weather the storm and the most they had to complain about is a lack of wifi for a few days. Think about the people who have to rebuild everything. Lord guide them on how to read a damn room.

I was stuck there ,they took advantage of us over charge us ,i was at obe of the rios hotel it was great before the hurricane but the next day all hell brike loose , no AC , no towels for two days ,water on the floor two days, the gave us a bag with one tuna sandwich, water covered the floor on the 11th floor used the towels to try blocking the water, thet closed the restaurant after the storm ,they charged everyone different prices per rooms , they tried to charge me 500 per night,our flight got cancelled had to pay 2000 for a flight because they raised the price. Its easy for comments because you wasn't there

My daughter and I were stuck in Montego Bay for 5 extra days during Hurrican Gustof. Glad I purchasrd travel Insurance. Have to use a reputable travle agent and keep in contact with them.
Praying for the family food and emergency supplies they might need and praying the weather breaks for you guys to get home safely be encouraged stay blessed.
