My grandfather has BCS 737 model, an old one, and he made some steeel wheels for it, probably for more weight. So i just found the other day that his original wheels are almost brand new, some rust on rims, but almost 0 wear on rubber wheels. Also worth mention, I found more good info on how to operate this machines on few of your video than what he has told me. Amazing. His machine still has alien shaped hood, freaking love it :D

I just bought an 853 second hand, nearly new. When I bought it, the handlebars were over the engine, with a flail mower mounted. When I rotate the handlebars to mount the tiller, the pto lever will not turn 180 to meet the handlebars in the new position the way it does in the video at 6:39, but will only flip up and over very awkwardly. It definitely doesn’t seem right.

Hi there! When checking the transmission fluid does the tractor have to be completely level? I have put a bubble level on the flat side parralel with the ground (silver rectangle under engine). Im just abit off with the level however, the oil level seems to be about abit over the top notch.
As level as possible, yes. Sounds like you got it.

I’m assuming the sae 10w 40 oil should be conventional not synthetic?
Either is fine. But if you go with synthetic, it is best to stick with synthetic going forward.

you did not show how to start the tractor with the key
Sorry, didn't think we needed to show how to turn the key. Electric (key) start is an optional feature on most of our tractors (models 722 and up), but every model has a recoil (rope) start as well. Very handy if you find a dead battery before you want to get to work. To use the the electric starter, simply turn the key after the instructions at 2:25 in this video.

Crappy gasoline engine, to light and flimsy. Get older diesel ones.
It's a Honda GX series. Literally the best you can buy. The extra weight of the older diesel models actually caused a lot of balance issues.
You can get diesel models here in the UK but, even though I have cheap "red" diesel, I got the petrol BCS740. The diesel version is about £1000 more and has far higher noise and vibration than the petrol version.
