But the thing is she has 0 means to protect herself from agile assassins. Her passive? She becomes a statue that's waiting to get one shotted. At least the previous Aurora could freeze or making them assassins think twice before engaging her by maintaining the freeze stacks

As an Aurora main all i can say is, I like this new revamp Aurora because she's more of a mage than an assassin now also the problem with the old Aurora is that she has a hard time clearing minion waves or generally ramping up to get leveled and get her items, some times when I i play her, I'd get way less gold than a roamer.

Also she gets easily countered by just buying tough boots because her combo would get ruined due to her freeze duration being shorten so also her damage gets lowered as well.

I would argue that it's not waveclearing that makes her bad at ramping up gold. She has pretty decent, not the best, but decent waveclear especially with her bigger AOE and lowered cd 1st skill when she received buff. Instead, her problem is her abysmal move speed as she's probably one of, if not, the worst rotating midlane hero of the game. Selena has worse wave clearing than her if she played mid instead of roam. However, she is way better at gaining gold because she can score that kills and assists during her rotation to other lanes or objectives. Due to this, I do not recommend maining Aurora, as she is very difficult in terms of executing her strengths and purpose nowdays. Instead, her sole purpose in solo is to be a very situational counterpick for heroes that loses to highburst and cc like Harley, Saber, Karina, Melissa, Irithel, Zilong etc while better mid heroes that counter them were banned like Eudora, Kagura, Nana. If you have a great 5 man team and you are very coordinated, she's very good in UBE strategy (Ultimate Bonding Experience) otherwise, we will all wait for this revamp
The utilities that she can bring in the lord/turtle fights and tower push are insane. She is also really good at countering strategies that dive into your team. She is also a good bait because of her passive. I can see a pos5 aurora.

This is really gonna make Aurora viable. She can change the tides of the game in a single ultimate. If placed properly with some actual human teammates (unlike the bots in my ranked games) , it is very beneficial. The only question is when is this gonna drop?

It’s actually a pretty good revamp but I gotta say, I’ll miss the insta cc from her old passive. It will be hard to cc heroes who’d want to target backline teammates or tower dive (Fanny, Ling, Lance) since there’s a delay on ult freeze and the second skill freeze requires a specific distance.
With the new passive although needed, she wont need to rely on defense item against camp/gank from the opponent because of her passive which would null their combo during a sudden attack or during a 1v1 clash against a mage or a high damage hero
For instance : Eudora camping aurora in bush would miss her combos

hopefully we can finally see her in pro matches with this changes. she now feels like a back lane mage that has a huge contribution in team fight and a poke skill that you can spam
The one thing I might not like about this revamp is her instant freeze at close range being gone, it was helpful for surviving and saving teammates, but other than that all her new skills and passive are good and much better than the old ones

tbf if the enemy does get close, she has her passive self-freeze to save herself. She can cast ult, and even if its too late to prevent the enemy for nuking her, she won't die and the freeze from her ult will trigger before the enemy gets to kill her, stunning them in place.

Since she can freeze towers now so can she qualify as a hybrid support? She is still a mage but this capability can make her a support
Also 10/10 cuz of cool model & design(glad she isn't a bunch of polygons anymore but i will miss the original design),great passive and skills,and hidden support capabilities 👍

Wow she is queen of magic AoE. Looks great for team fights, her passive is definitely life saver when facing enemy one shot heroes.
The freeze duration is also insane with pure damage build. Looking forward to play her in the next update😊

I'm gonna miss the old Aurora, it's the only Mage I want to counter if the enemy pick Fanny. Because it can automatically freeze fanny midair, unlike other heroes that needs to wait before getting by the stun

Finally, after years of neglect, she got noticed
if this revamp continued until it became official I wonder what her Zodiac skin will look like (the skill effects) because it's literally the best Zodiac skin revamp so far
her ult can be change like 2nd skill of Novaria but it will explode with or without hitting enemies or minions and it will create an round ice field that can freeze the enemies and after the freeze breaks they'll be slowed for a bit but the ice field will disappear immediately after the explosion
Mage and magic supports should be able to slow down or stop turrets temporarily and we need a item similar to the anti throw item for jaw head but its for roamers and if you buy it you get a button that can make turrets target you
What makes a good mid laner or mage meta is their ability to clear waves fast and with her new kit she'll definitely be meta soon
She is so different from the old version that she could be new hero, she could be Aurora sister 😅

Jokes aside apart from her design, this is totally deserved after being neglected for so long and being under the rug, she feels much more better now and has a unique trait than just her freeze

10/10 because she's now can join the clash and contribute more unlike the current Aurora you'll need to stack up her passive just to kill similar to Eudora combo, now she's revamp she can differ her self from Eudora now the two of them are perfect for Target lock assassin like gameplay but now this is improvement. I bet she'll be a number one banned heroes when they release it in original server.

I love this revamp for aurora but I will also miss her iconic ambush queen era and her iconic hair going upwards, she just look way more colder with that look but overall I still love and always love the old and new aurora and she will always be my main forever

Now only problem she has is if any assassin attack backline. Bcoz her skills can't stun someone close to her. I think her passive needs to be better at defending herself. Like give her a temporary dash or may be the best idea would be after she become unfrozen let that ice blast and make the enemy around her in a small radius freez for 1sec or something.

I think it would be really cool if aurora gets an exclusive interactive with the winter items (winter trucheon and ice queen wand)maybe increase winter trucheon's duration when she uses it or maybe she regenerates hp just like her passive as for ice queen wand maybe greater slow or maybe increase damage when the enemies are slowed/freeze and lets be honest they're never gonna implement this because it would be broken but i think it would be pretty cool
Edit:also maybe they can make her second skill instantly freeze targets even if they're not in the end if the skill after her passive is triggered just lower the freeze duration a bit though but maybe this is too OP

Aurora is categorized right now as mage/roam so the fact that she can freeze towers with her skill and have death immunity as passive, she can truly be one of the best roamers out there with the cc utility she has. Tho yes, she was played more of an assassin before which she should be categorized as such but due to her lack of mobility, she wasnt put there. Now with her kit, her roaming capabilities soar with a huge amount of magic scaling on mage part. This revamp, rework or even a new hero is really so cool! Kinda sad she’ll be on the ban list for quite some time. The nerf that will surely get her is removing her ability to freeze towers. Kinda sad cause thats such a cool part. Excited to try her out!

Aurora Revamp : 10/10 since it makes her playstyle way different from Eudora.
Although she lost her instant freeze as long as the enemies' in range with her skills especially 2nd skill at close range, she has the ability to freeze towers which is good for tower dive with Assassin/Tank. They moved her instant freeze to 2nd and Ult skill which is nice but I prefer her freeze durations stays at 1.5/2 secs without Magic Power Scaling since it's a little too strong.
