To chase Banyarwanda, you have to give back half of Western Uganda region which was for Rwanda before 1910. All Bafumbira are Rwandans, all people settled in former Mpororo are banyarwanda, all Bakiga are banyarwanda formerly and there are many Bakiga in Rwanda speaking rukigq including former president Habyarimana. This issue was brought by Bazungu and we have to live with it.

People should go back to history and read it's all clear that Banyarwanda of Uganda have ancestral Land which is now part of Uganda. Uganda was not there it only became Uganda yesterday. Ever since it was made up of kingdoms of which some districts now some of them were parts of Rwanda before British Conquest of East Africa. Why are you blind on these truthful facts? Banyarwanda found themselves in Uganda because Bazungu gave their lands to Uganda so why do other tribes discriminate them?

When you read through the comments, you really tell the level of ignorance among Ugandans. People from Rwanda are Rwandese. The tribe in Uganda are Banyarwanda. Uganda found the Banyarwanda here at the time of making the colonial boundaries. Apart from ignorance, some tribes think they own Uganda more than others. I'm a Muganda by tribe but cannot claim greater stake in Uganda more than anyone else.

The only difference between the Banyarwanda of Uganda and those of Rwanda is the border that was established by the white man. First, there is no tribe in the world called Banyarwanda or Banauganda. Thats political sloganeering by kagame/museveni. U are either Tutsi/Hutu/twa.
I Think you noted it also that the only Rwandese in Uganda originate from kisoro bcoz that is the only Rwandan territory that became part of Uganda during the creation of the Current Boundaries hence enclosing Rwandese in Uganda who later on declared themselves Bafumbira. So, it was purely wrong to include banyarwanda in the Museveni 1995 ugandan Constitution when they had actually called themselves Bafumbira. Think thats why he has brought it back to be Changed. Any munyarwanda who is not mufumbira is a refugee as per the Laws of Uganda prior to museveni era. The banyarwanda originating in masaka are just refugees, Not indiginous Natives..., they better assimilate in the baganda community before its too late.
Also Recall white man was the Govt of Uganda, and thats when govt was still functioning & neutral in regards to national data., implying his data was more accurate than today where govt says uganda has almost 70 tribes yet u dont see them on ground nor hear them speak their languages..

Starting from Masaka uganda up to the border of kabale [katuna] and Ntungamo also known as Mirama hills were part of the Rwandese kingdom, same as you see Eastern part of DRC [Kivu] especially North and South Kivu were part of Rwanda but the whites decided to use the river [Rusizi] to divide DRC congo from Rwanda and Burundi, however the law in the 1920 and the 1962 and the 1985 is just a diversity from the real reality! There's nothing like tutsi or Hutu and westerners etc we're all one.

They are just fooling themselves, they've used Ugandan taxpayers money to "buy" land from desperate Ugandans who have been impoverished by Museveni's policy of deliberately impoverishing indigenous Ugandans. All that land will be taken back from them. The "money" they used to "buy" that land will be reimbursed to them, but they will have to account for where they got the money from in the first place. If it turns out the money came from Ugandan taxpayers' money, they will have to pay back that money to the Ugandan Treasury WITH interest.

This is so insightful, Last year when I went to renew my passport and mentioned that my clan has origins from Rwanda, I faced hardships. Now this makes sense.

Our founding fathers made no mistakes, they did what is right. Today hundreds of thousands of Somalis, Sudanes, Congolese, etc. are giving birth in Uganda. That alone should not be a ticket to citizenship. Rwandans should register for citizenship if they want, because more of them will start moving in from Rwanda, congo and Burundi to get our citizenship.
Every country has its citizenship laws. It’s not just a thought of those who want to be citizens. In UK, you don’t become a citizen just because you’re born in the UK. In the USA it’s different. If your wife is Rwandese, and she has children, then let her register and become a citizen by registration ( if you’re legally married). There are various ways of becoming a citizen.
