Hi Amanda, I was 33 when I had a hysterectomy ( now 66) and experienced everything you have been going through. The emotional relief of not being in so much pain, fatigue, etc. is a good feeling and the emotion of have a hysterectomy can be difficult to deal with. So glad you've been taking care of yourself by going to counseling. Sending you positive vibes and hope you are doing well. 💖

Many of my female acquaintances and friends said since covid immunizations their periods and everything around them got worse since. I have an IUD because my periods always have been awful since my first one and I had a begine (spelling) cyst burst back in 2016. It was awful and very uncomfortable. I learned how strong I was since then and did it pain medication free.

I know SO many women that go through this for so long thinking their abnormal pain and periods are normal. I really wish doctors did a better job LISTENING to women when they express these concerns. My sis just had an 8cm ovarian cyst removed so I really have a lot of empathy for you. ❤❤❤

Dear Amanda first of all i love your videos,you cooking but also these a week in my life and chatty vlogs🤟👌i see myself in you when it comes to your period,the heavy bleeding and terrible pain... When i was 35(i am 46 now) they finally understood it was not just "normal" period cramps. So they did a hysterectomy. I never wanted kids so to me it didnt bother me that i didnt have my uterus i felt it freeing that my period and the pain was gone forever🙏🙏🙏😉🤗🥰Sending you the warmest of hugs all the way from Sweden💞💖🫂

One thing I’ve been meaning to ask you: have you ever listened to Claire rosinkranz? I think you’d really enjoy her music! Usually I would have asked you this on the podcast insta account - still miss your and Kara’s voices soo much! Do you think you could maybe just from time to time do some episodes or podcast-like CZcams videos in the future? That would be the greatest blessing 🫶🏻 out of desperation I’m already relistening to all the episodes because (although I only discovered them last summer) I’ve already listened to every single one 😂😭 what can I say- I’m addicted!
BTW I just feel the need to say HOW amazed I am by what you manage to do with your work! Not only do you have the imao best lifestyle/self care/food CZcams channel EVER with much more regular uploads than most “big” CZcamsrs and great Insta content - you’re also working 3 other jobs on the side, that’s simply incredible! You’re literally Wonder Woman Amanda.
And one more thing: Although you look absolutely beautiful to me (even more so because your whole character is so beautiful and just makes you shine from the inside out) and I would never have thought you’d have body insecurities I still really appreciate you talking about this - I’m sure it can’t be easy making yourself vulnerable on the internet like that. But I’ve been struggling quite a bit with self/body image lately and it’s good to hear I’m not alone : even people that are perfect to me have their issues. Like OBVIOUSLY they do and rationally I know that but we still tend to forget, right?

I’m a transplant from the U.S. Been here for ten years and I love how much more natural and down to earth life is here. I was in Florida from 1999-2013 and the difference between here and there is light years (way too much plastic surgery and Botox and keeping up with the Joneses over there). I don’t have Insta or FB here and I’m 24 years older than you so I may not be as aware of the invisible pressures of looking a certain way. You are definitely an inspiration.

Hi! Happy New Year, Amanda! I'm honestly shocked that they didn't mention your 8 cm fibroid in 2021, and that they put in the notes that it was "nothing to worry about" (even though it was already the size of your uterus!!!). And that nobody thought to mention it when your periods were getting worse, and they knew that was a concern of yours?! 🤔 Sending good vibes that your surgery goes well and that you have a swift recovery!!
Also, I'd love to see you make it a goal to set up a dedicated ergonomic work space for yourself this year! I know you're still young, but oof, watching you look down at your laptop screen like that for hours makes MY neck and back ache! 🥴 I'd recommend either getting a monitor so that you can have two screens (the monitor being at eye level). And/or you can also set the laptop on a box to also elevate it up to your eye level, and then get a fun little wireless keyboard/mouse set to type with. Your neck/back will thank you!!! 🩷

Haha, me too! It's on the list. Hopefully our lease will get extended and I can set up a proper work space once I'm back from surgery :) x
The part of about society benefiting from us not liking ourselves very much or the way we look reminded me of this documentary I watched called The Century of the Self. It's a different take on society benefiting from us in regards to our looks. Highly recommend... even though it personally caused me a mini existential crises and not knowing what to actually do with the information in it. I think it's here on CZcams broken up into 4 videos

Its just personal opinion, but im also 10 years vegan and was able to fix most of the problems i had. I just have a feeling it might be bc ur eating too much processed fat(oil). They can have very negative effect our body in alot of ways, not to demonize them. But you do seem to consume alot from my Pov. Maybe consider looking into them! Just concerned about you. We can always improve our ways of doing things.
A reminder that I don't share everything I eat on the internet, and I do eat a very balanced wholefood diet that has been great for my mind and my body. I feel good and happy and I like eating oil.
